One of my very first House Mouse cards remade and blog candy

Sorry to have been  MIA so long, but between all of the demands of the week, I have not had any time to stamp until tonight!

You can see here one of the first house mouse cards I ever created...back in 2002!  Yes, I was a Mouse addict even way back then!

Allison and Sue at Every Thing Old Is New Again had a challenge last week to remake one of the first cards you ever posted to an online gallery. I posted this on my webshots site  years ago!  I remember  being so excited about how cool this card turned out! LOL!!! I have used the same House Mouse stamp and the same background stamp in my remake. I am hoping you are at least thinking this is somewhat of an improvement!

Thanks Sue and Allison for such fun inspiration...sorry to be so late in playing along!

This is also just a wee reminder that the challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is Happy Birthday...you have until Monday to enter your creation and have an excellent chance to win a great House Mouse stamp too!

Now for a little bit of blog candy. I had a pile of goodies all ready for my 75,000 blog hits but that happened right when blogger was dropping everyone's comments. I have decided to break it up a little and give out some blog candy here and there over the next month.

Nothing required but to leave a quick comment here on this post. That's It!!! If you are a follower you will get and additional chance to win! Be sure to let me know if you are a follower. AND...if by chance you have played along with the HM&F's Monday Birthday Challenge I will give you a 3rd shot at winning.

This is not the actual Bow Easy, it is called Simple Bows, but it is exactly like a Bow Easy...I am also including  a full roll of my fave 5/8 red satin Stampin' Up ribbon...(same red as used on the card above)  You have until Monday, July 19th 12 noon PST to enter. This simple tool has turned in to a must have...I use it all the time!

Card details:

WOYWW?

If you want to join House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge and have a chance to win some outstanding BLOG CANDY...click  HERE! (9 different sites for blog candy...lots of yummy!)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A messy desk today for this week's WOYWW...finished the card below for Allison and Sue's challenge EONAC18, Everything Old Is New Again. The challenge is to use your punches and with a twist...use the CAS sketch challenge below. Well,  I love my punches...and I love CAS cards! Didn't take long to whip this up once I figured out which punch I wanted to use...and oh! my new DP by My Minds Eye (Mary, Mary quite contrary) is just yummy! All the big hearts are all up on dimensionals. I used the three heart punch from SU! and SU! rose ribbon. The sentiment at the bottom is embossed with a cuttlebug strip that says ...with love..(.And yes, Carol...my Lindt truffles are still staring me in the face)

You can also see part of the last mini album I have finally completed....a little baby album that has some little cricut embellishments. I will post that this week too.

For My Mama-EONAC challenge

Do you remember why you started stamping? I do...I started by joining a House Mouse yahoo group that was big on sending RAK's and I found so much happiness when I received one of those  squeaky critters in the mail.

I decided that I need to stop hoarding and start sending...I just mailed out a bunch of cards today...spread the joy!
Since my Mama has been ill, she has has had a hard time just perking up. I have decided I am going to be better about sending her a card (she only lives a few miles from me) just to cheer her up a wee bit. She's not necessarily one that hangs on to these creations, but hey, that's okay too....(anyone else would get in big trouble!)  Oh goodness ...there's my "hoardness" again...I have every RAK ever sent to me...crazy I know!

I made this card for Allison and Susie's challenge this week at EONAC #10...you need to use a sentiment stamp that has not seen the light of day in ages, or never seen ink.  No other stamps allowed!  I have had this Studio G $1 stamp for ages and thought it perfect for a card for my mama. I added this absolutely gorgeous DP and a little quick  nestie frame...I think this turned out kind of classy...or at least I think it is LOL!

This is an easy challenge...why not join in...You can enter until Friday and I think Susie is offering up a wee surprise too!

My challenge to you if you have read this far, go to your stash and pick a card and mail it tomorrow...brighten someone's day. If you need my address...just kidding...send a card to make someone happy!

Everything Old Is New-Teddy Bear

I had so much fun digging through my older stamps, I couldn't decide which one to use...soooo the other night  I made a couple of cards for this challenge! Who doesn't have this stamp? I mean really, it was sold at JoAnn's forever and since in my early days of stamping that was all that was available locally, I haunted that store. This really is just the sweetest teddy bear. I dove into my SU! speciality paper...and came up with this sweet card.

Now, I have baby on the mind right now as I am "expecting" a new grandson around March 1st ( a little brother for Cole!), so I am trying out different designs for a sample birth announcement. Time is running short!!!

You can see the other gals playing along in the list below. Don't forget to enter the direct link to your card on Allison's blog by Friday, January 22nd..... Mr Linky is waiting!

Everything Old Is New--Wreath of Roses

Welcome to a fun,  Friday challenge blog hop! Get your old grubbies on, crawl into your storage space, grab one of your oldest stamps, blow off the dust and get to stamping!  Whew....Everything Old Is New Today!

Allison from Stampin When I Can has organized this fun blog hop today...to encourage us all to use what we have...give those older stamps some inky lovin'!

I thought it would be fun to dust off one of the very first stamp sets I ever bought...Wreath Of Roses from Stampin Up! (2000)...yep a real oldie but goodie. Perfect for Valentine's Day too. I love giving new life to these older stamps when I get to incorporate them into a card with all the new toys and tools that have become popular since my older stamps were stuck back in the closet!....Add a nestie and a border punch, a few pearls and some lovely satin ribbon and Viola!!!!

I hope you can all join this challenge and maybe even win a $25 gift certifcate! Add a link to your creation  on Allison's blog post by January 22 to be eligible for this prize!

This is the scoop from Allison's blog:

About a week ago, Sue posted a card with a long forgotten stamp set. I commented that we should have a challenge where we created cards with a stamp/stamp set that we would first have to blow the dust off due to lack of use. Sue jumped on the suggestion and now, with the help of some other PSFs, we are hosting the "Everything Old is New Again" challenge.

Want to Join Us? (Of course you do!)

All you have to do is create a card with a stamp set that hasn't seen the light of day for some time. Then, link it up at Allison's blog by Friday, January 22nd at midnight (MDT) and you will be entered to win a $25 gift card to Michael's (thanks to Sue!).

If you are looking for some inspiration, have a quick turn through these creations offered up by some great gals:
