House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-So Sweet

So Sweet!

Welcome to another Monday Challenge of the Meeces! Jennifer has chosen our challenge this time -- SO SWEET!  This includes anything that has chocolate, candy or your favorite sweet in the design.

*****

I just got back from a wonderfully warm vacation-I was so sad to leave the sunshine of Arizona behind, but nice to spend Easter dinner with my family!

So...ask me why I made a Christmas card??? Ha! Well...part of my vacation included "several" trips to Hobby Lobby! Boy, I love that store! And best of all, the meece stamps were on sale. This sweet stamp jumped in my cart (along with some others). This was a little tricky to color up (no  definitely lines for the candy cane!)  but I think it turned out SWEET!

I even used a sketch from The Sweet Stop. You can join their 3rd anniversary sketch challenge HERE.  I chose sketch #81.

Our sponsors this challenge are Simon Says Stamps-A wonderful $25 gift certificate.

and a $10 Gift Certificate from The Sweet Stamp Store!

I hope you can join in the fun for our Sweet challenge!

What's On Your Workdesk #111-Helz Cuppleditch

Another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! A quick snoop for  you today of what I am working on.  Frantically trying to get DT creations completed for next week as I hope to be gone this weekend to a music festival, and the weekends are my normal stamping days! Looking forward to listening to Ronnie Dunn, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and lots more!  Oregon Jamboree here I come!

This week you can see some of my Outlines stamps out on my desk as well as a few House Mouse in the back of the desk. Of course you can see my ever present cup of ice. I have been playing with some new(to me) supplies tonight that I am thrilled to discover and hope to show them to you next week when I get home.

I did manage to make a couple get well cards with a cute Helz Cuppleditch stamp I bought over a year ago...it is so so soooooooo cute!  I have a couple cyber stamping friends that are in need of some cheering up so I wanted to get these made up and mailed. ( I googled this image and you can buy Helz stamps at Stampavie and 7 Kids College Fund as well).

Isn't this a darling image?  I stamped this image once on the white paper and then chalked around the chair, stamped it again on some SU pink plaid paper, colored in the flowers and pillow and then cut out the chair and glued to the first image. Stamped it a 3rd time and colored Ruffles and the slippers and cut them out and glued onto the chair image.  Sounds complicated but it was really quite quick! A few finishing touches and it was done!

Second version made with the same stamp using this week's  The Sweet Stop sketch challenge #118.

Also, don't forget to pop into the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge and check out the tons of  blog candy and great creations!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #91

What do you snack on for treaties?

Yep, you are seeing what I picked to snack on tonight...little Hot Tamale candies! Discovered a long lost bag the other day, making me happier than can be!

Well, this is really my desk...after a quick card making session tonight so that I would have "sumthun" to show you besides my eternal mess!
Can you see me?  Yessiree, that's my shadow! I'm glad I took this picture...just found the stamp I have been looking for! I swear I am blind sometimes...and at the bottom of the picture you can also see a note to myself to MOVE  CAR...did I remember? nope....

BETTER GET BETTER

I made this card with another Help for Katie image by Mo's Digital Pencil.
I used the sketch from this week'The Sweet Stop SSS97  Decided I do not like the ribbon on this, so I think I will take it off or add some more buttons or something...just not doing it for me....I will have to think about it tonight. Maybe another set of buttons??? What do you think?

Lily of the Valley-

I made this cute Lily of the Valley Bear card using The Sweet Stop sketch challenge #84.  First time I have stamped and colored in what seems like forever.... Life gets in the way sometimes, with the holidays and family.

Dad hit a bump in the road and had to go back in to the hospital this week, but he is home now and feeling soooo much better. Thanks to all of you who sent good thoughts our way, they certainly helped and are so  appreciated!

I got on a roll last night with this great image and this YUMMY paper from Bo Bunny! I think I could make a gazillion cards from it and never tire of it...so watch out, I must just try to use the last of it up LOL!

The challenge over at the Lily of the Valley Challenge Blog is "a few of my favorite things". You are to use craft items and stamps you couldn't live without. Well, that sort of leaves the door wide open don't you think? I couldn't live without my copics, my nesties, my dies, my ribbon and bling, my wonderful new LOTV stamps...You can tell I love all my "stuff"!

Hope you enjoy these! Thanks for stopping by!

Cardstock: Lavender and Turquoise fro SU!, DP from Bo Bunny
Ink: Copics and Lavender or Lilac (can't remember) from SU

Hang In There House Mouse!

Another get well card for my craftin friend Jilly! I had to use some of my pretty new DP by My Mind's Eye.
The little stocking mouse is cut out and up on dimensionals, and chalked underneath for shadow. I tell ya...I moved that darn ribbon and flower all over trying to decide where to put it...I finally gave up and just glued 'er down! This DP is really quite a bit paler than it shows here, so this is a "softer" card than it appears.

Can't you just here this little mouse squeakin'  "help"  LOL

I used The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge  for this card. I always like their sketches!

I am headed to see my grandbabies this weekend, but wanted to leave you with a house mouse card to remind you to join in the challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #70...still several days to play and lots of blog candy to be had!!!!!  And man, the odds are so good you will win something...there is so much candy to be had!

Have a great weekend you all...and maybe I will get some cute pics of the little boyz to show you!

Happy Mother's Day-Penny Black

I made this card for my Mama and one for my Sweetie's Mama as well. Add a tin of Russian Teacakes and my Mom was so happy!

I used a cute Penny Black image and tried to give it a copic "watercolor" look. I had most of this card finished and then the The Sweet Stop Challenge came out on Saturday and boy did this sketch help me with the finishing touches...the flowers and the punched border were additions I added from the sketch. I am truly a sketch addict!

I hope you all have had a great day today!

House Mouse Flower Power and FCCC#60

Oh guess what challenge is back?  From Courtney's Closet Challenge #60!!!!!!  (FCCC60) It has been since last September that we saw little Courtney...and my has she grown!!! Follow the link to see her today!  She's such a big girl now!

I chose to go with the color scheme of little Courtney's Easter dress so that I could use my new House Mouse stamp  for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #68  which is FLOWER POWER. The sentiment that came with this House Mouse Stamp of the Month says "If friends were flowers, I'd pick you" which I used on the inside of  these cards. I also used the out of the box nestie process so that Monica's tail wouldn't be chopped off...oh goodness we could not let that happen!

I flipped the sketch from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #54 (SSS54) for both cards.

I guess you could say my first love of stamps were House Mouse....and then I discovered Libby's fun  Courtney's Challenge when very I first started blogging. I played almost every week and through this challenge, I learned new stamping skills and made tons of new stamping friends. Challenges are a great way to grow as a stamper and to make friends worldwide! Find a challenge that speaks to you  and join in! (and just so you know, I could hardly make a FCCC card without polka dots somewhere, right Libby?)

Card details:

Penny Black Sweet Talk

I colored all  these images with this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge #92 in mind.  The challenge this week is to use springy colors. I hope you are not sick of this wonderful Stampin Up Cottage Wall DP. It is so pretty and it goes a looooonggg way! I made this mini album with it too, and I still have at least half of it left!

I have had this Sweet Talk Penny Black stamp forever and it has not ever seen ink...it was time... and makes a sweet card set as well!

I have not stamped much over the last couple of weeks, just no drive, but today I spent the whole afternoon making these cards. I find if I see some good sketches, that seems to get me motivated to pop up into my stamp room. I did manage to clean it up a wee bit so I could find room to stamp...my goodness it does get messy fast.  I will list the sketch challenges I used under each card.

I actually had to change this sketch up a wee bit as my main bunny image wasn't the the full length of the card and I liked the way it turned out after I added that bit on the bottom.

I am working on a little Gwamma brag book to carry in my purse. Nothing fancy schmancy, but I never seem to have pictures of my grandsons with me when someone asks..how bad is that? I hope to finish it up in the next day or two and then will show you that this week as well.
