Hope you had a special Valentine's Day. 

Wow, a lot of my Penny Black goodies got used on this card! I just dug it all out and went with it lol!

I cut a frame out of two Stitches of Love stacker dies. I added a light pink embossed panel behind the frame and then tucked in a copic colored heart tree, added my little hedgie on the card with an action wobbler, and then stamped the sentiment from the transparent sentiment set Only You.

Lori Whitlock February Blog Hop

Welcome to our February Blog Hop!

My projects today are these cute little candy huggers. Lori has so many different designs for other holidays as well! I have made the Halloween huggers for my co-workers before and they were a big hit. Now that I am not working anymore, I felt a bit of sadness that I didn't have them to share with anymore. They always loved them and many of them kept them in their office on display.  I decided to make 30 of these for my daughters second grade class room. I am sure those littles will be tickled! 

These huggers were quick to make. I made 6 each for a total of 30-enough for my daughters students. FYI there are more critter hugger designs too. 

To make these fast and easy I opened all 5 huggers and grouped like colors together so I only cut brown, white, black and pink polka dot. For the orange and pink small pieces I cut them out of white and colored them with copics before removing them from the mat.

 To attach my candy, I added a bit of foam tape on the back of the candy and they stuck nicely.  I also did a print and cut of the sentiments and tied them on with twine after gluing the little huggy arms together.

For my creations today I chose several cute vintage House  Mouse  stamps. You could really use any of the gazillion house mouse images!  I cut the card bases with my Silhouette, enlarging the file so that I could fit most of my stamped image.  (Valentine Rectangle Frame #16045  resized to approx 4 x 5.5.)

The images are colored with copics.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Candy Hearts

I used this cute Happy Birthday Cupcake easel card (Lori Whitlock) base cut with my Silhouette. I did add a .050 offset white border around the pink paper(for those of you who use a Silhouette.)I colored my image and fussy cut it out with a bit of a wider border so it would stand out a bit more.  The image and sentiment were added on with pop dots. I added a few random hearts and spots of bling to finish it off. The DP polka dot paper is from Bo Bunny and the bling from Picket Fence Studios. 

We had a half way decent day today with weather in the high 40's-almost 50 so I could go outside and get a nice picture. I can't wait for all of this snow to melt!!! 

We had snow, ice, snow, ice etc...sure made for a mess.  I think spring is around the corner!

I adore this cute little stamp designed for Penny Black by Mo Manning.   I love her style!  I love those itty bitty wings she has too! I've stamped her several times. Perfect for this challenge!

I colored the image and fussy cut it out. Normally I use my ScanNCut, but last time it cut off her antennae...Yikes! 

I added it on the die cut with foam dots and added glitter to the wings as the final touch.  On the pink card I did a bit of stenciling behind the Bee Girl with a darkroom door honeycomb stencil. Sorry it is not available from SSS anymore. The background die I bought on Amazon.

I hope she makes you smile as much as she makes me smile!
