Ahhhh...the Christmas rush is on!

What have I been up to???  Boy I have been running around like crazy trying to get things done!

Lukey is my crafty "Project" boy.  He is very methodical and will stick with a project until the end! Cole not so much....

Lukey made these little dipping pretzel snowmen. One for each of his family!

I slipped in a LeeAnn Rimes Christmas Concert...beautiful!

My wood crafting friend Jill and I (with the help of my Dad) made these wreaths for our annual wood project. They turned out so cool!  We made 36 of these!!!

Jill and I have also been baking our annual Christmas cookie stash...we made more than twice this many plates up today and they are ready to give away!!!  Every year we think we won't have enough cookies and in the end we have so many more than we thought!!!

We also made up some fun Santa Sacks for our grandsons.  My first time using Heat transfer vinyl.  Made a few mistakes along the way-- but in the end I figured it out!!  These were pre printed sacks and we just added the names.

I had planned to help my grandsons make this project(as seen on Pinterest), but in the end, the cookies got the best of me and Auntie Abby helped Lukey make these for his Grandpas and Daddy.  The original plan was to paint on the brown with acrylic paint, but I thought better of it with a 5 year old.  We just decided to use brown cardstock instead.

I love 5 year old handwriting! I made 60 of these lightbulb name tags for my parents to use for their gifts with some left over for me too!

Well, that is where my craftiness has  been channeled over the last month! I have a few more projects to show you but no pictures of them yet! Coming soon!

Thanks for popping in-I am off to bed!!!

Lukey Turns 5!!! Dancing Candle!

Today I am sharing a cute little birthday card I made for my grandson Lukey. He turns 5 today!  This little Dancing Candle is a file from My Scrap Chick and the card is a stand up photo display stand from the Silhouette Store that I resized smaller.( It is linked below)

I can't believe it was 5 years ago today that I announced the arrival of my "not so little anymore"grandson Lukey!  I posted about his arrival HERE. (yes I have been blogging for years!)

Luke Newton..age FIVE -all 'ducked' out for his birthday party in Oregon Duck gear..his choice of party theme.

And here he is being held by his big' brudder' 5 years ago ... Oh my!

Thanks for stopping in today...I don't usually post this much, but I could not let this special day pass without sharing!

Happy Birthday Cole-Turning 7!

Cole turns 7!

I can't believe it has been 7 years ago today that my little grandson made an appearance! My how times flies!
I took this picture a couple weeks ago at the Mt Hood Adventure Park here in Oregon where we took him for an early birthday present. He is actually jumping on a trampoline with tethers-oh what fun Peter Pan!

Gwamma Sue decided to make him a special card for his birthday...as rusty as I am-it took me off and on a whole day to make this...good grief.  I think he will especially love the googly eyes!

Everything was cut with my Silhouette using an Echo Park "Scoot" 6x6 paper pad from Inspiration Emporium and  some great cut files from the Silhouette Store. I used  misc fonts to cut the number 7 and Cole's name.

Gotta love those googly eyes!

Thanks for stopping in today-see you soon!

A Mothers Day Share by Gwamma!

I received this masterpiece in the mail today and just had to share. Obviously, my little grandsons are starting on a life of crafty adventure!!!  I am wondering if you can guess what they drew?  I think Lukey's is pretty obvious and I was really quite surprised at his artistic drawing...but Cole's had me stumped.  Fortunately his Mama wrote on the the back of the drawings.  I smiled so big when I read it!

I was tickled to see their actual signatures...(gotta love Lukey's backwards or sidewards L!) My he is growing so fast!

Now back to Cole's drawing. Anyone around me very much, knows I always have a cup of ice (really blended into snow) not far away...My little boyz love to share with me. I had to smile at the idea that my little Cole was so thoughtful! :)

I added the vinyl Mothers Day 2014 on the front of the frame, because I know myself...I know I will forget when they drew this for me...and I don't want to do that!

Now --I think I will quit my job, grab my cup of ice and head off to my  new Lukey house where I don't have to work-the stuff that dreams are made of!

Thanks for letting me share with you today!

Happy Mothers Day to all my crafty friends!

Lukey is turning 4!

Yep, my little grandson is turning 4!

Oh my, where did the time go?  He picked out this chubby puppy from the Silhouette store all by himself-and Gwamma made the invitations! When I went to put the sentiment on it, I asked him if he wanted Luke or Lukey for the name. I was tickled when he chose Lukey!!(he will always be Gwamma's Lukey-even when he is a grown man) LOL!

He is a funny little duck, he wanted to have his party at home because he was worried that there would not be a table for his birthday cake if the party was held somewhere else. Makes you wonder what goes through little minds when you hear something like this!

I used a postage stamp file and mirrored it and  made it into a card and then added the cute little Chubby Puppy on pop dots to the front. Lukey wanted the theme of his party to be Puppies, so this worked out like a charm! His mommy went and bought dog dishes for his guests to eat out of, and we will add their names in vinyl if we get organized enough. Looking forward to a great party and hugs and kisses from my boys!

Owl I Want For Christmas

Boy oh Boy....I am still around but oh so busy this holiday season!  I have lots of colored up Christmas images ready for cards...just no time to finish them up!  I did make this fun little box up last week, so I thought I would show it to you along with some pics of my cute little grandsons that I visited in early December.  A huge snow storm hit while I was there, so we had fun sledding and playing in the snow!

I got this festive Lawn Fawn Winter Owl stamp and matching die cut set from Inspiration Emporium. This is a great set to use all during the year too!  I used a cute little 3d house file from the Silhouette store along with a fun layered tag and a little red heart border to tie in with the hearts on the sentiment.  I used some Carta Bella Designer papers to paper piece on the owl image and the tag.

I colored Winter Owl up with copics, paper pieced his scarf and then used the matching die cut to cut him out...no fussy cutting involved!

I do have to show off a couple special little guys that I visited too...

Sledding in 12 degree weather! Oh so cold-too cold for this Granny-it hurt to be outside (but not when you are 3 and 6 I guess)  LOL

Lukey catching snowflakes with his tongue!
Nothing like rolling in the snow and making snow angels!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Monochromatic #154

Yes... there is a story behind PHINNEY!

Phinney is one of those little blankets that is made for little ones to carry around so they don't have to carry a big blankey. Little Lukey (aka Gwamma's baby boy even though he is 3) has had this Horton Hears A Who blankey since he was a baby and still sleeps with "Phinney". Near as we can tell, Phinney was his way of saying elephant-but who can be sure???  Regardless-Phinney's name has stuck, even if we are guessing on the spelling LOL!!!   Heaven help us if Phinney goes missing!! I found another Phinney a while back and bought him as a back-up. Here he is sharing his other  "Phinney" with Great-Granny Jo during a recent visit! He is pretty protective of Phinney, so this is a big deal!

Now on to our challenge...

Our monochromatic challenge is hosted by Kate today!

WOYW?W 218

Finally...been on a wee summer break and just getting home...here is what is waiting for me...You can see Julia's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday post on the computer screen. Also some bills to pay, a package rec'd in the mail and just general junk type stuff all over. You can see the lovely sun shining in too!

Thought I would show you what I keep in my carousel 'thingy'. My fave inks (Memento black and brown and Versafine black) Some glue that I make a mess with and my liner pens and embossing stylus.
And here you can see my zillion of scissors and glue and my Quick Sticks behind the glue (to pick up tiny pieces I have cut out). Now let me explain....  I get to crafting and I lose tools all the time(or have some packed up for classes)...they tend to get buried during the making of a project! I am so happy when they are all rounded up again!!!
Here we are at the Oregon Jamboree- A sea of fun in the sun! Don't know any of the crowd here...just a general shot.
Lukey gives Gwamma a wink and a thumbs up!
And Cole gives Gwamma a funny face! These boys had a great time!

Always nice to see my Cousins. Beautiful girlies!  We had to have our pics taken with Luke Bryan's  semi truck-that's about as close to a famous person as we got  last weekend.. LOL!

Thought you WOYWW'ers would love this crafty...we went to an antique fair in the park one day...lots of lovely things, but love these pretty flowers made from dishes!

Well that is what I have been up to all week-playing!!!! It all ended too soon and now it is back to reality!

Thanks for popping in and reading through this post! See you soon!

WOYWW 209-Grandbabies!

A visit to see my daughter and grandsons brings this project!

Working on a project for teacher helper appreciation gifts for my school teacher daughter Erin. Using the print and cut feature on the Silhouette cutting out oranges. She is filling bags with all orange things like orange candy, drink, cheeto's etc and putting a label that says Orange you glad it's summer?!!!  We had a great time shopping for orange things to put in the bag too. And she is glad it is almost summer too...
Here is a close up of the little school bus boxes you saw on my desk last week-a cute Silhouette store cut file.

But here is what I really want to show off from my recent visit to their house-
Cole and Luke ready to play.
I told Cole his outfit looked like Christmas-so colorful --- he rolled his eyes at me and said "Gwamma-don't you know??? Black goes with everything!!!) The pants had a tiny black stripe. How could I miss that.....LOL

Cole in his bunk bed with his little stuffed animal peeking through the bed slats. Sound asleep.
Cole showing Gwamma how he rides his big boy bike! I can't believe he will be 6 in August!
Lukey (age 3)with an Oregon Ducks megaphone(his parents were cheerleaders at U of O) Even though it is as big as he is, he tried to yell  through it-giving it a good ole' try through the wrong end.
Lukey driving Gwamma's car-and yes the little stinker found the horn and finally had to be banished from the car !

So there you go for me this week-a quick peek at my desk and a visit with my little baby boys too!

Stop over and say Hello to Julia and the crowd at the Stamping Ground and see lots of desks from around the world!

See you Thursday!

Fiddlin' with Seasame Street-Elmo, Cookie Monster and Zoe

Yep, I should be weeding the yard or cleaning the kitchen(first warm weekend in 6 months!)...but I found these darling svg files at  ScrappinbyKris and could not get them out of my head. Had to play with my silhoette instead.

I found this awesome blog that shares svg's. Stop in and visit Kris at ScrappinbyKris.

Elmo and Zoe are HERE. Cookie Monster is HERE!

My lil' grandson Lukey turned two a while back and the theme of his party was Sesame Street's Elmo.  The pic of him above shows him ready for his celebration.
Luke thinks if he hides his eyes, Gwamma Sue can't see him!

And look at his other Granny...This is Grandma D (Donna)-she really gets in the spirit. She made this cute gift bag with a pic of Lukey hugging Elmo...Luke has some crafty grannies-what a lucky boy!

And look at Zoe...so cute.

Cooooookiesssssssss!

Well I am off to have some "breffus" and go do "sumthun"!

Monday I have a cute House Mouse coming your way, Tuesday is WOYWW and Wednesday I have a blog hop from Creations by AR...

I also forgot that I am entering this in Crazy 4 Challenges, which is to add a POP of black to your creation...a perfect fit for sure!
