Happy Birthday Erin! A Mini Album

I made this mini album for a birthday present for my daughter Erin. Her birthday is today---  Happy Birthday Sweetums!

Erin and her family took a trip to Hawaii to visit family this summer, so I thought it would be a fun little remembrance for her!

The mini album is from the Silhouette Store(Lori Whitlock)  Here and Here-as well as the palm tree. The stamp set from Inspiration Emporium-Critters in the Sea. I used some bright and fruity Doodlebug designer paper throughout the mini (gotta love that pineapple paper) and my wonderful son Matt, sized and printed all the pics for me. ( It closes with a magnetic closure.)  Sweet Aunt Becky from Hawaii  sent me pictures too-so you see, this mini was a family affair!

Here is the first page...A suntanned family picture and a place to journal about the trip.  I sprinkled a few Critters in the  the Sea throughout the pages!

I made extra pages to insert into this mini...I could not pick just a few pictures(too many cute ones), so I added extra pages inside the accordian pages. I ran a strip of redline tape along the bottom of each double sided page to make a pocket for the pineapple tabbed inserts.. All you have to do is grab one of those little pineapples and pull and a hidden page will  pop out. I cut the pineapples out of the designer paper.

Here you can see the pages fanned out and the extra pages added.

And here is the birthday girl-my daughter Erin!

Here is Lukey diving right into the pool-No Fear at age 3... And Cole doing a cannon ball into the pool!!! They are definitely little fish.

 At the beach-surfing and sandcastles

Date night-kid free and a pic of the boys running to the beach from their room! Oops I think Lukey forgot his shorts LOL!

There are more pages-I think I stuffed just about 20 pictures into this mini-Wowser!!!.  I have mini's that I have made of the boys when they were little and I look at them all the time...so I hope Erin enjoys this mini too!

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you enjoyed your visit!

Go Duckies!!!!

Welcome to:

Go Ducks!

I am chronically late with baby gifts--I know it is so bad... My goal is to acknowledge the new baby before they graduate from college LOL! I am somewhat proud that this is a baby gift for a little baby boy just a few months old!!!

I found this mini album on Pinterest and the video on You Tube. Very fun!!! I did use SU! cardstock and I think it is too heavy for this mini-or I need to adjust the gussets to be a wee bit wider.  I would suggest maybe Bazzil cardstock as the perfect weight to use.   Because my cardstock was thicker, I had to use ribbon to close this little mini album, otherwise I would have used magnet closures. Each pocket has a square photo mat that pulls out.

I actually envision this mini as an  Oregon Duck "Gwamma" brag book-imagine that!?!  I stamped the Duck In Tow stamp several times and used the complete image on the front, and then cut single duckies to add inside.

I cut the letters and little feet with my Silhouette.  The designer paper is Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Boy.

I hope you enjoyed this little duckie project!

Please take a few minutes and check out the Great Impressions Stamps Blog and join our polka dot and pastel challenge-you could be a winner!

See you next week!

Inky Antics Bumbly Bees

I made this cute little mini album with my Silhouette and this darling little Bumbly Bee set from Inspiration Emporium. Inky Antics stamps are clear so I could cut the double lined sentiment apart quite easily to add each line to the sign post!  Oh my-years ago I never would have messed with my stamps, but now I have no problem making each image work for me. You can still put them back together,so really no problems here.

The little mini is  a  real simple design by Lori Whitlock. I think this will make a sweet album for any gardening friend you might have.  I will enclose a stencil so the recipient can cut  circle pictures to add inside!

Don't forget to add  suestamps13  code for a 10% discount in the store!

Thanks for stopping in today-I do hope you enjoyed my little project.

Inky Antics Aviator Benton

Hellooooooooooooooo! Watch out around here-Benton is buzzing around this blog having a great time!

Today I am showing you another project I made while I am the Guest Designer for Inky Antics Stamps this month.

I wanted to make a couple mini album's for my little grandsons, so I was tickled to see Benson fly into the scene-perfect for what I had in mind!  I colored him up and added him on to the front of the mini with pop dots- Adding in a few embossed clouds and Lukeys name in red  to finish up the front page.

The  pages have the month at the top of each page-I think they were designed for the Day In My Life project, but I used my Bind It All on them instead. Inside there is also page to write a note or two about what Luke is up to that month along with a page for his picture. I think it will be so much fun to see how he changes over 2013!  I cut all the pages with my Silhouette - the album pages designed by Lori Whitlock. All the designer papers have planes, trucks and cars on them-just what little boys love!

Thanks for stopping by-tomorrow I hope to show off Benton again, so be sure to stop back

I am so tickled to be creating with both Great Impression Stamps and the brand new Very Merry Christmas kit designed by Jessica Sprague for Echo Park.  I was so inspired by this wonderful kit, I had to make something that used almost every paper in the packet! (over 20 of them!)  I think I almost made it except for 3 or 4 papers.(and easily enough left for 3 or 4 more mini's!)

I found this great mini album pattern on YouTube a while back and fell in love with all the tricky little pages. (Designed by Angelwings 14100-see video link below!)

On the front of the mini I used the Christmas tree sticker from the kit and added Joyful Penguin, Penguin with Snowflake and a couple babies from the Playful Penguin Trio(yep, reminds me of my daughter's little Newton family).  I also cut out the sentiment Christmas (from Echo Park in the Silhouette store) .  I used two layers of  red satin ribbon with a little magnet inside for the closure and colored a white snowflake button (tied up with some May Arts green twine) with an E42 copic marker to antique it up a bit.

Here it is open to the first page. The left side has the little page insert decorated with an EP sticker along the top and another Great Impressions Penguin. The right side is a gate fold with a magnet closure.

Grab the little gold Noel tab sticker to open up the page. Inside has another double sided insert for pictures.

Flip to the next page...the page on the right flips up and there is a page underneath that flips down.  The page on the right has a Santa's Coming sticker from the kit.
 Last page fully opened up.

These pages have stickers from the kit and a Joyful Penguin on the page insert. The string of lights is another Echo Park file from the Silhouette store. There is a page insert on the top Santa page and the bottom page (with the holly leaves) flips back up and then opens like a gate fold (held closed with magnets) Oh my---look at all the pretty papers and stickers!
On the left side of this page is another Echo Park cut file (Holiday Cake) from the Silhouette Store, the right side has a print out and another sticker.

A quick video that I made to show you how this album works-thanks to my son for helping me!
