What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, Lili Of the Valley, Cake Shop

Awww....tonight is the first time in several weeks I have actually stamped and colored! Been under the weather, but I think I have turned the corner and enjoyed a night of Olympics and coloring this darling Lili of the Valley Cake Shop image.  I made this for a family birthday tomorrow! I used the SFYTT for August. Yep, can you believe I have it in early??? Last month I squeaked in with less than 15 minutes to go!  You can see I have not cleaned my desk off for weeks, and do you see Elmo peeking out from under the pile of papers?

You can also see that I actually scribbled out the sketch from the SFYTT -not taking a chance that I would forget part of the sketch like I did last time! I am sure my dentist will not mind that I scribbled all over my appointment notice!

I just love all the meeces in this image! I so want the one with all the cherries too.

Well, I am off to bed, so good night my What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday friends. I hope to hop around and catch a few desks this week even! Woo Hoo! Make sure to check out our outdoorsy leader Julia on the Segway too. She looks so brave!

SFYTT Sept 2011-Lily Of The Valley

Here I go again...squeaking in on the Sketch For You To Try September 2011.  I guess I do better with a deadline hanging over my head...wish I would get better at getting things done more timely..I am working on it!  I used this pretty Lily of the Valley stamp...I bought last year intending to make up some Christmas cards...well here we are a year later LOL!

Another great sketch...only 3 more to go. I have created for every month so far!  3 to go!

I also made this to enter into this week's Lily of the Valley Challenge #114-Button It!

I used some of my new My Minds Eye dp...very vintage-ish!  I also used a couple cricut cartridges to cut out elements for this card....Winter Wonderland for the branch and It's Cold Outside for the snowflake. Added some fun coarse glitter from Martha Stewart on the snow as well.

Well, it's past my bedtime, so off to bed!  Enjoy your weekend!

What's On Your Workdesk ? Wednesday #116- envelope art

Here we go....I literally sat at my desk, took this pic and came downstairs to load it into my post. The ole desk isn't too messy this week, just busy. I am currently decorating a big PILE of envelopes to be mailed as baby shower invites for soon to be Mommy- niece Annette. She wants them to be cute but simple. She came over this week and picked this cute Lily of the Valley stamp and darling Eline Pellinkhoff sentiment. It was toss up between the LOTV baby and the Eline baby, so I was glad she picked the easier one to color! I have colored all the little blankeys and faces so far and will finish the clothes maybe tomorrow. This is TV time coloring for sure! Mass production!!!

I think he turned out super cute!

Take a quick peek over at Julia's house this week and visit a few desks if you can...! Let me know if you play along too...I will be sure to stop in. Last week was a bust for me as I was gone to a wedding and then on to see my grandbabies and celebrate little Cole's 4th birthday! What fun to be a Gwamma!

Boy Oh Boy! by Lily of the Valley

Here is the card I made yesterday...and then ripped apart and remade it! Trust me...if I think it was in need of a makeover...it needed it! I hate when I make a mistake and a card is all done! Just sayin I screwed up a wee bit with the scissors on this one! Got a little snip crazy LOL!

I use an ATG gun...have you ever tried unsticking your papers without ripping the dickens out of them? I read this nifty tip the other day and it has opened up my world. I am one of those stampers that has to glue it all down and then decide if I like it. Wish I wasn't like that...but now I have solved the problem of placing the paper crooked or in the wrong place.

Tip of the Day!: How to remove something that is stuck down with ATG tape????
Take your embossing gun and gently heat the back of the paper and then everything will just peel away! ( I knew I kept that embossing gun around for something!)

I took this card completely apart last night, added some stitching and a few  "bits and bobs"  and was happy that I did. This one is going to my little Cole! He is enjoying his summer break for sure! Oh the joy's of a 3 year old! (okay Gwamma...almost 4!)

I used  Jen's monthly sketch SFYTT July 2011.

I am also entering this in Papertake Weekly Challenge after seeing Lorraine's pretty card HERE. The challenge is anything goes with extra credit for buttons. Love the sweet LOTV image she used!
I had planned to add this to the last LOTV challenge, but I just missed out! I am such a pokey stamper LOL!

Hope you enjoy!

I want to welcome Jovi @ Inky Impressions (probably my longest running stamping buddy!) , Lynn @ Late Night Crafter (and a faithful HM stamper and kind SCS commenter- LOL)and Marianne (sorry I can't find a link to you Marianne) as new followers as well as my new feedblitz followers. I wish I could link feedblitz followers, but I don't know how or where to find you. If you are a newbie follower through fblitz, just email me, and I will link your blog!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #88-Hearts!

This should be an easy challenge for you all this time...since Valentine's Day is just around the corner and we all know that our sweeties need that one special card!

This challenge was picked by teamie Lori and is sponsored by House Mouse Designs©-a $20 electronic gift certificate. Isn't that just cool? ...and if you are really observant, you may have already noticed that we are welcoming back one of the founding team members to the design team...Please take a few minutes to welcome Stacy back to House Mouse Monday Challenge! Also, make sure to stop in and say hello-goodbye to our January Guest Designer Tracy! This will be her last guest post, and challenge #89 we will be looking for another guest designer. Be sure to let us know if you are interested!

This is a pretty straight forward card today...lots of embossing and punching.I do like these colors as it throws in that extra touch of green you don't usually see on a Valentine card. Muzzy is on dimensionals as well as the "I love you more than cheese" sentiment I made on the computer. I saw that sentiment in the current issue of Taste of Home...LOL...you never know where inspiration will come from!

I hope you can join us this week at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge...and don't forget your heart!

WOYWW? I have 4 hours left FTL122

Well I have 4 more hours left of Wednesday so I thought I would show the crafters over at Julia's Stamping Ground-What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #84 what I had just finished...A got a little stamping time this week so I actually got to ink some "stuff" up.

I made this card using the Clean and Simple FTL 122 sketch above. It is just okay (I think..kinda...sorta). Not my fave card and sort of a weird pic of it, but oh welllllllllll.....  I used some pretty Bo Bunny DP and some Thickers chipboard birds covered with some SU! cardstock. The fancy border is the  Martha Cornice border punch. The sentiment is a retired SU! set. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the black card itself.

And this is my workdesk after I finished stamping...need to pick up me thinks...........if you look real hard, you might spy a future project or two as well...hmmmmmmmm

Lily of the Valley-

I made this cute Lily of the Valley Bear card using The Sweet Stop sketch challenge #84.  First time I have stamped and colored in what seems like forever.... Life gets in the way sometimes, with the holidays and family.

Dad hit a bump in the road and had to go back in to the hospital this week, but he is home now and feeling soooo much better. Thanks to all of you who sent good thoughts our way, they certainly helped and are so  appreciated!

I got on a roll last night with this great image and this YUMMY paper from Bo Bunny! I think I could make a gazillion cards from it and never tire of it...so watch out, I must just try to use the last of it up LOL!

The challenge over at the Lily of the Valley Challenge Blog is "a few of my favorite things". You are to use craft items and stamps you couldn't live without. Well, that sort of leaves the door wide open don't you think? Hope you enjoy these! Thanks for stopping by!
