I was browsing over at 123 Stitch several weeks ago...and a bunch of new Penny Black stamps fell into my shopping cart. I loved the cuddly bears and the stamp sets I bought were more 'words of encouragement' type sets. I just didn't have any stamps like them. 

And then it happened-
(I don't normally put  personal information on my blog-I know you are here for crafting...)


I needed to make a card like this...I need lots of them. A dear family member has been diagnosed with an extremely serious form of  Leukemia. My heart is breaking just thinking of the fight she has ahead of her. I am asking if you could all keep her in your thoughts and prayers, I would be forever grateful. 

My card today used a couple of my new stamps from 123 Stitch and some very pretty MME paper. I colored with copics and paper pieced the little cushion the bears are sitting on.

Wedding, Anniversary and And All Things Love

My card today is totally inspired by it's wrapping! I am using

Purr-fectly Sweet 30-398 

and on the back stamp insert the sample shows wonderful green rolling hills and a heart tree. Well I drew in the green hills and added the companion sentiment to finish off my card.  I stamped the image twice and  and cut out I ♥ U  and added it on with pop dots. Both base panels were cut with Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles.

Well-- let me show you what happens when you are crafting in the wee hours ... I am not telling what I said when I realized what I did! ...It was not pretty! Ha!

I am a little late with my Penny Black creation today...I can't believe I did not even know it was April 1st today! I have lost all track of time...

For my card today I pulled out an oldie but goodie stamp named Sweet Talk (1442J) --a sweet Penny Black vintage stamp. I have colored it with copics and added it to a lovely lattice backdrop designed by My Scrap Chick. The file is named Lattice and Doily Square Card and and comes with a  center square or center circle version. I actually made one with both backdrops versions but due to short term memory lapse, I forgot to take a dang picture of the other one. I did add a Lawn Fawn stitched square to the lattice doily as well as a little LF grass too. I added a very much loved SU! Easter greeting.

Who doesn't love a nice sunny spring day? Oh my, they can't be that far away!

Today I am using a sweet stamp named Blowing Bubbles--keeping it simple by cutting it out with a lawn fawn stitched rectangle die, sunny lawn fawn paper and finishing it off with a pretty SU! ribbon. Wow, it has been a long time since I have tied a bow in ribbon...it is so pretty! The sentiment is from a Simon Says Tilted Saying Banner clear set.

Hello!  Sorry to be a little late with my Saturday Penny Black card-life sometimes gets in the way!

Well here I am----finally---with my card for the December Challenge-better late than never!

If  you are a a Penny Black fan-you must be familiar with Snowy!  I always get tickled at the stories Judy Jung tells  about Snowy on the Penny Black website blog-she's quite a character.

For my card today I am using Snowy from the transparent set Jolly Friends.  He is colored with copics and mounted on a Lawn Fawn stitched  oval mat. I used a Signo white pen to add little dots of snow for a little something extra.  The sentiment is from another new stamp set that I just got-Warm Wishes. Can't wait to color that one up-it's a cutie!

The base of my card is made with a lovely Sizzix/Tim Holtz thinlit die set Holiday Knit.  I used two of the dies and  alternated the cuts and added alternating colored strips of paper behind each one. A little time consuming, but such a pretty effect!

I made this card for my Mama-she has been very ill so I thought I would make this to cheer her up!  I used the new cling Quick Recovery and the sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set Scripty Sayings. It took a long time to color this image...but turned out wonderful so the effort was well worth it!

Today I am showing off a cute cling stamp named So Kind.    I stamped the image on express cardstock and colored with copics.  I added Lawn Fawn grass and a Sizzix die cut sun. Off to the side I added a few Impression Obsession tulips. The tree was cut with my Silhouette. The die cuts were added on to the card with foam stickies for added dimension. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment on with my Misti.  The sentiment is from the Penny Black Snippets clear set.
