Hi there! Hope you are all staying warm! It has been pretty cold around here. Brrrrr

Perfect for that hot cup of coffee(in my case it is cocoa!)

For my card today I am using a new stamp from the latest Spellbinders House Mouse release. I tried to make it look like Amanda Mouse was inside her little mousie home, getting ready for a nice cup she has brewed up!

As always, colored with copics.I used a circle stencil from Penny Black to shape my little mouse door and used Miss Inks star stencil inside the house. I blended a bit of brown for the wall color and added some seams with a light brown copic.I added it on some sparkly and shiny striped paper, but that doesn't really show in the pics.

Bio.
I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge February Romance

 Penny Black Saturday Challenge

February Midway  Inspiration

Anything Goes

or the optional theme-

๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•Romance ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Duckling-3347H ( Ebay, BuddlyCrafts-UK)
Bubbly-sentiment

I'm still playing with all my classic stamps as I set up my craft room. I have always been smitten with the PB Ducks and unearthed this one today. I was looking for my "romantic" cute Huggin' Ducks but have not found that one yet. They are older stamps (2005) so I had a hard time finding any for sale. I linked several sites I found above.

For my card today I used Spellbinders Fluted Circle for my main card base and cut a wavy pink card base with my Silhouette. To finish this off I added the fun silly sentiment (still for sale at Penny Black).

I would love for you to hop over to our challenge blog

and join in the fun.  The link is at the top of this page.

For my card today I dusted off some oldies but goodies!

I am currently moving my craft room so I am going down memory lane with all my first stamps! The little meece stamp Monica on the front is my very first House Mouse stamp! (Party Mouse Monica ) 1999.  I think I bought it in 2001.  It just goes to show you how classic and timeless house mouse stamps are! Just as cute as ever!

I cut a fun card base with my Silhouette (A2 Tabbed Card with Sleeve by Lori Whitlock). I added an extra matting at .050 for those that make cards with a Silhouette. I also used some very colorful retired Bo Bunny cardstock(Surprise)-love me some bright primary colors! I also added a few random balloons and drew in the strings with a multiliner.

The sentiment is a very old Penny Black woodmount stamp(Micey Birthday 2000).

Can you tell that I have loved the meecies for many, many years?

The stamp is Tossing Confetti (HMCP93) from Stampendous.

Lori Whitlock Easter Basket

Hello there! Today I am  moving on from Valentine's Day and on to Easter. I am looking forward to bunnies and chicks!

For my projects today I played with the new Lori Whitlock Easter Basket Collection

I cut several of Lori's boxes and added all the fun Easter Basket elements. I spent an evening with my little Sidekick die cutter and die cut my self silly. When I am doing this, I put on a good movie and cut a bunch of pieces out of the different colors and just sort of mix and match away-always sure to have extra pieces because I tend to lose tiny pieces! I had fun adding the sticker elements to the finished boxes as a little extra special touch. Everything is just so fun!

I die cut 3 baskets and lots of fun little eggs and flowers/leaves in all the different colors included in the new collection. I did cut out some grass from this file to use at the base of the boxes. I removed the scoring lines from the grass piece to cut one long strip and trimmed a piece to fit each box at the base. As for the boxes themselves, I like to add a little extra matting to allow the patterned paper to pop a bit more. To do that, I open the offset panel and chose offset, distance of .050 and the square corner. In these projects I used white for the extra matting pieces.

3d  No Glue Suitcase (Lori Whitlock shop, Silhouette #91024)

Box With Handle  (Lori Whitlock shop, Silhouette  similar box)

This tip will help you with these tiny dies.  I used washi tape to adhere the tiny dies on to my paper. I took out the cut pieces but left the dies taped on to the paper. You can just put these on top of your next paper each time. Just keep the dies in place with the washi tape. You won't lose those tiny eyes and rosy cheeks that way!
