Lori Whitlock Graduation Cards Tutorial

It's that time of the year to make a stack of Graduation cards!

This post is a tutorial on the Lori Whitlock Blog today.

I chose several files that really gives you a lot of bang for your buck! These files include multiple years to use in the future as well! I have made these cards numerous times over the years because they really are so classy looking and are so fast and easy to make!

They are easy to personalize by changing up the colors to reflect your school colors. You can then add school initials or add the grads name etc.

Graduation Shaped Card 2024-2037 (SVG, Silhouette)

Instructions for a Silhouette: enlarge the file by 200% by choosing the symbol that looks like a slash (highlighted in blue-top on the left side)  and click 200%. That was pretty easy right? Sorry-I'm not familiar on how  you do that on the Cricut.

I always like to add a white center inside my cards, it's an especially fun detail if you have a shaped card.

For this inside insert I took the 2026 from the file and after selecting the 2026 you can right click and choose release compound path(about 2/3rd down the list)  From there you can pull the outline away and delete all the little pieces.

5 x7 Graduation Shaped Card (SVG, Silhouette)

After cutting out the Congrats Grad pieces -leave all the letters stuck to the mat. It is easier to grab the center parts of the letters and see where to glue them.

Graduation Card with Pocket (SVG, Silhouette)

I just made this one because it was fast and easy.  I decorated the grad hat like I have seen the grads decorate theirs!

I hope you have found some Graduation inspiration!

HMFMC #464 A/G or Flowers

Anything Goes

with the optional theme of

๐Ÿชป๐ŸŒปMAY FLOWERS ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒบ

Hosted by our Talented Teamie - Cari

This stamp has been issued twice, once from Stampabilities and named Mice Garden (1998). It's a wonderful wood mount stamp. It was also released as a cling by Stampendous in 2021 named Violet Garden. Isn't that crazy how classic and timeless House Mouse stamps are?

This is a very simple card colored with copics. I used a base card with matching envelope from Doodlebug-love the color!

I hope you can find it out there! I was watching a funny movie and thought it was the perfect  time to color a detailed stamp.

  So join in the fun!

Hosted by our Talented Teamie - Cari

Creative Day RSC-049 (Simon Says)

For my May Flowers card I used this stamp that was released last year. I colored the image with copics and stamped a sentiment that is included with the stamp set. I also used a Penny Black background basics stencil set.

This is a simple and sweet one layer spring flower card-perfect to send to your bestie!

I colored a second card because the first one was so easy and fast. I just used a different stencil and sentiment.

HMFMC #463 A/G or Use a Punch

with the option theme of

Use A Punch

Hosted by our Talented Teamie - April

Sweet Nectar

This stamp came from the Spellbinders Rare Bloom Collection one year ago.

I love watching the hummingbirds out my window during the summer!

For the challenge this week we are using punches. It was fun to look through my punches. I rarely use them anymore because I use my Silhouette cutting machine for everything. I dug out my Martha Stewart grass punch to ground  my meecie image. A bit funny, took me a second to figure it out, but the memory came back quickly.  Curious if you use your punches anymore? I have drawers full of them. I tried to give them to my daughter for her 2nd grade classroom, but they are still here. I'll have to get her in gear!

I used a Penny Black Zig Zag Stacker rectangle die cut and the
Picket Fence Seeing Double Alphabet along with a small Penny Black sentiment from the Snippet sentiment set. I added the sky using a Lawn Fawn cloud die and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink.

House-Mouse Friends /Happy Hoppers, or, Gruffies image stamped/decoupage or CD rom.
