Pumpkins, Ghost and Mice Oh My!

For my card today I got out one of my wonderful vintage stamps from 2004! My, it seems like only yesterday I bought this colorful HM stamp from Stampendous. Just goes to show you how timeless these stamps are! (You can see if for sale here on Ebay-oh my!) 

Die hard House Mousers will remember many years ago when Stampendous used to also sell their stamps with fancy matching sentiments. Those were also fun! I'm using one for the next challenge!

I have two drawers of these HM sentiments. 

Ok back to the card...

I cut out this batty card base twice- sizing it so it was big enough to use with this stamp. The stamp is a very big one. I colored it with copics and did a little shading in the sky. I wish I had used a black, but too late now. :)

Lori Whitlock September Tutorial-Santa Paws Shaker Tutorial

Today I have this tutorial on the Lori Whitlock blog on how I used a simple cut file to make this card into a shaker card. 

Santa Paws Shaker

Vintage Postcard 4x6

This is what the file looks like (in the Silhouette software) when you open it. (I did highlight the first piece in red.) You need to choose the first two pieces for this card and delete the rest.

 

Make a duplicate of the red striped piece. (Cntrl + any arrow)

To get the frame without the cut outs, right click the frame and choose  Release Compound Path and remove the cut out pieces, leaving a solid frame. 

This is what your two frames will look like.  

Final cut pieces

 First piece you will cut your background piece (my blue sky) and a piece of acetate. Second piece is the solid frame-I cut 3  per page out of 8.5x11 generic white cardstock (9)-they won't show so you can use cheapo white cardstock. You can cut only one of the solid frame is you want to use foam for the edges of your shaker.  My final top piece is cut  out of red. 

First Stack-red piece glued to one white frame and the acetate is glued on the bottom. 

The second stack- glue all the white frames together(use enough to make a good size stack). I used 7 frames because my snowflakes where a bit thick.

Assemble second stack, add your shaker pieces inside and glue on  your top section.  I decorated the the top of the card with Lori's new Santa Paws dies! Viola! You can then add it to a card base and call it good!

I had fun making this card! I used a cut file from the Silhouette Store and several fun Fall themed stamps from my vintage meece collection. I made the Fall Fun centerpiece and then tucked in a bit of  fall shenanigans! I colored with copics and fussy cut the stamps out and then tucked them in.

I got out some pretty shimmery papers to make this card. The white and green have that festive shine!  I embossed the PB sentiment and then used the leaf stitched die to frame the finished card.

Lori Whitlock September Blog Hop

Here Comes Santa Paws New Release at Echo Park

Nested Zig Zag Square (SVG, Silhouette Store)

I used the 6x6 Paper Pad, all 3 new stamp sets, enamel dots, the Sticker book, as well as the 12x12 Solid Paper Kit for my card  and this fun zig zag square cut file for my base. It's fun to have the whole set of goodies of her latest release! The possibilities are endless!

To make the card base I simply enlarged the zig zag file to fit my little doggie scene. I used misc dies for my little scene and added it on to my zig zag base. Those little doggies are so darling-I could not resist making a little snowy Christmas scene. I stamped and colored the dogs with my copics and them cut them out with my ScanNCut2. They would be easy to fussy cut as well.

We are a dog lovin' family so I just had to show off Lori's new doggie stamps.  I also loved using many of the pretty new papers!
