C4C109-The Holiday Season is heating up!

Helloooooo! This week at Crazy 4 Challenges (#109) their  design team has a challenge featuring Outlines Rubber Stamps and they invited the Outlines Design Team to join in too!

Their challenge this week is  to heat up the upcoming season with heat embossing! Since we have lots of great "seasons" coming up, you are pretty much wide open to create something fun!

I chose to feature this great Bo Bunny designer paper. When I first saw this paper, I could not imagine what I would do with ole Santa Baby, but I think he managed to fit onto this card with ease! I embossed with silver embossing powder and set off the sentiment and Santa paper with some brushed silver paper from Stampin Up...love that stuff.  I added a Cherry Cobbler seam binding bow for the finishing touch.

This really is a fast and easy creation! I forget how embossing can "fancy up" a card in no time flat!

This Outlines Rubber Stamp Holly Strip is very versatile and I think pretty classy all done up in silver embossing!

I hope you can take a few minutes and pop over to check out all the creations made by the talented C4Challenge  Design Team.

Have a great weekend!

Would you like this card? Hippity Hop!

A quick card today using the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch. Quick and Easy....or so I thought...I wanted to make a couple of these to send out as they were so fast. I cut DP for 3 and went to sew on them and assemble and I could only find 2 of them...what the heck???!  I hate it when I do bonehead things...I sewed two front panels together...goodness...what's a girl to do?.... Make 2.

What do you do when you make boo-boo's on your cards? I try to cover up the mistake or blotch and many times I like the finished piece better than my original idea...but sometimes there is just no covering up...Then I send it to my daughter...she always gets a kick out of my rejects...we used to send our rejects to each other and play Where's Waldo...can you spot the mistake sort of thing....

Okay, well I need to get on with finishing tax info and cleaning house today, but just had to get a little stamping in before I start the "unfun" stuff.

If you would like the "good card" I managed to complete, then leave me a comment here before midnight Sunday, March 28th and I will pick one person to mail this to Monday morning. (sorry without the M & M's- they jumped into my mouth)

C4C21--- Pretty In Pink

I made this PINK card to fit into this week's Crazy4Challenges-- Pretty In Pink.  I have a new Grand Niece on the way so I thought this would be a cute card for the baby shower coming up. This stamp has been stuck in a drawer for ages, so it was fun to dig her out and use her again.

Pretty straight forward card...I made the scalloped edges to mimic the collar on the little bear's dress. Used my SU! ribbon punch to add some ribbon, added a couple flourishes and pearls and it was done.

Hope you stop back later this week, I have a couple little candy boxes to show you!

Card Details:

------------------------

Stamps: Bear stamp from imaginations, Sentiment from SU! For a Friend

Cardstock: Regal Rose, and Rose Red from SU!

Ink: Memento Black and copics

Misc: Swiss dot cb folder, Martha scallop punch, SU ribbon punch, SU rose ribbon, SU/sizzix flourish die, oval nesties. Hero Arts pearls, paper piercer

Polka Dot Fun! Put your shades on!

I Know!!!! This card is bright! I made this late at night this weekend...and no, I was not drinking LOL! The challenge at Crazy4Challenges
this week is Polka Dots! Do you think maybe I went a little crazy?  Well, I do and I have been looking at this card for a week..but it has actually grown on me. The image is from alota Rubber Stamps and I bought a whole sheet of Molly Moo stamps at last years rubber stamp convention in March.(Just took me a while to get around to using them).
I changed up the image some and added hearts where the leaves/flowers are on the vines to make it more "Valentiney"  I wasn't real sure how to color a Holstein cow, but I gave it a shot (gotta be holsteins, right Melissa?)

Well, that's it for now. I do have a fun house mouse card to show this weekend as well as a sympathy card :(  to show you--just have to get the posts written up this weekend. See you then! Stay warm everyone...and don't rub it in Shirley N! LOL (Shirley lives in Hawaii where everyone stays warm)

And oh.....some fun things to be made with my Cricut too!

ETA: This card is going Becca...you can read about her HERE. I think it will cheer her up some.

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge-Doodle on your card

The challenge this week on 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge is writing...doodle on your card-freehand. YIKES...first an embellishment challenge and now this...I think those girls are trying to unravel me LOL! I don't like to write on my cards...I usually end up just messing things up. Now... there are some wonderful doodlers out there and I always admire their work, but I am not one of them! For this card I managed to add dash marks around my apple and the squares on background...that was pretty racey for me.

This month we are using school theme challenges, so of course I had to use my new DCWV paper and this very retired SU set named Definitely Decorative Country Apple. I loved this set then and still love it! It came out in 2001...wow...that seems ages ago is" stamping years"- Ha!

I used the sketch challenge from this week's Crazy4Challenges. Another great sketch from Cindy Haffner!

Yahoo was having a wee bit of problem last night, so downloading pictures has been a problem for our challenge team..the weekly post over at 3 Clover's may possibly be up a wee bit late this morning...or maybe not! Hope you all take a quick peek over there and see all the good stuff Kerry has to show off today!

------------------

Stamps: Definitely Decoratrive Country Apple--retired from SU!

Cardstock: DCWV 2nd Grade Stack, real red and garden green SU!

Ink: Real Red, Choc Chip, Garden Green and versafine black onyx for the sentiment

Misc: ribbon, dimensionals

From Courtney's Closet and Penny Black!

When I saw this challenge picture of wee little Courtney...I could only look at those cute little piggy tails...so....here is my pink piggy "tale" card. Look how big cupcake is growing...she is changing so fast!

If you have never visited Libby's From Courtney's Closet Challenge...you should!

This card also qualifies for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge (see that little heart in one of the hats?). I used an amazing sketch by Cindy Haffner from her brand new challenge blog Crazy 4 Challenges...This sketch is challenge #1!

Wow, I am not usually one of those multi-tasking Pile It On girls, but by golly I got 3 going in one card! Whew!

This is a really bright card and I wasn't sure I liked it...but it has kind of grown on me! LOL
