Creations by AR May Release!

Welcome! Tis the season for fancy proms and weddings....and Creations by AR has just the project for you!

This Tux and Gown box set can be used for any big night out on the town surprise or gift-Darling for proms don't you think?! Wouldn't it be fun to personalize these boxes for the actual outfits?

Today I am making this template in to a wedding set. I used some absolutely gorgeous SEI white pearl foil papers for my gown and shirt. I know it is hard to tell in these pics, but they are definitely stylin'!   When my daughters got married, they wanted bling so here we are...a pretty wedding dress with bling and a fancy tux with silver buttons!

I used rhinestones  around the top of the dress and the fancy center bling part came from some Martha Stewart bling stickers-they worked perfectly!  Now I know you might be tired of hearing this, but this set can be put together in about 15 minutes flat ! Very simple and fun to bling up!

It stinks....and here's the rest of the story!

Jammie Day Sunday!

Okay-I know I have a lot of explaining to do about this card. If you remember my last week's post, I told you I had this other card ready to post and decided it was not "pretty" enough to post on Mother's Day-and now you see why LOL!

I am not sure if you remember this card I made with the cute skunk and stinky sentiment-

At the first of the year I sent this card to a dear friend struggling with serious health issues.

Last week he was telling me that after his latest surgery  he was sure the meds were making him have very strange dreams. One night he said there was a skunk chasing him and "got/sprayed" him good. So...I had to make him another 'stinky' card! LOL.  We both work at a cherry processing plant, so not only did I get a skunk on this card, but a sparkly cherry tree too! I hope when he  gets this card  it will give him a big smile.

This  is a reminder just how much your special hand made creations are appreciated-so keep on sending your creations-they do make a difference!

Please take a few minutes to pop over to the Great  Impressions Blog and see what the rest of the team has been up to. Our May challenge is Celebrations, an easy one to join in!

Thanks for stopping in to say Hello-I always look forward to your visits!

Relax and Unwind! Pure Innocence

Doesn't this make you want a pink little robe (and matching slippers) with stars all over them?

I used this darling little Pure Innocence Spa Day stamp set from Inspiration Emporium! I stamped and paper pieced her sweet little matching attire in some MME Happy Day paper and added her to a step card that I cut with my Silhouette machine. Oh so cute!  This little creation is going to a dear friend that is busy packing for a move.  Really-the ribbon does match the outfit, but the picture came out wonky-sorry!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Jammie Day Sunday!

I hope as you are reading this that you are enjoying your day-taking it nice and easy-a bowl of oaties and a glass of milk and set to browse inspiration a wee bit this morning!

Today I am showing you two wonderful sentiment stamps. I actually had another card ready to go and then decided it wasn't very Mother Day-ish, so I am showing you this one instead...

I cut the card base with my Silhouette as well as the pretty flowers-a freebie template yesterday from Miss Kate's Cuttables. I thought this sentiment fit perfectly with the flowers and then realized I had the perfect "Designed by" stamp too! I also just got this new pastel Graphic 45 designer 6x6  paper pad---It was meant to be!

Please take a few minutes to pop over to the Great  Impressions Blog and see what the rest of the team has been up to. Our May challenge is Celebrations, an easy one to join in!

Thanks for stopping in today and Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

My Wonderful Family

My daughter Erin-my first daughter and Cole(you all know him-he will be 6 soon), my son Little Matt-the baby in the family, Me, Rick and Abby-my 2nd daughter, Big Matt (Erin's hubby) and Little Lukey holding up the end! Such a grand crew!!!

Nothing so special as family and celebrating being the Mother, Mother In Law and Gwamma of this whole crew. I love you all!

I made these pretty cards for my Mom and my Sweetie's Mom. The cut files are from Birds Cards. Love her   blog! She shares so many free files. If you have a cutting machine, don't forget to visit her!

I typed the sentiment in my Silhouette, and did  print and cut tags for the cards. I had a wee bit of trouble with the ribbon, so I tried different styles. A little wonky, but they won't notice I hope!  Love that you can see through the vellum flower!

I wanted to share my pretty roses with you all too-thanks to the Newton Family! (esp Matt who did the shopping I hear LOL)

Well, I am off and running to a fun day in the sunshine at the Schmid Family Farm-see you soon!

House Mouse and Friends #144-Feeling Blue?

Our lovely Paula chose challenge #144---all about Feeling Blue-that means using the color blue or being unwell or sad...It's all up to you!

I used a fun sketch from Just Us Girls Challenge Blog to begin this card and lovely teresa collins designer papers. Between the two- this card was a breeze!  I love it when a card comes together so easily!

I stamped Biggly three times, once for the base, once to cut out to add with dimensionals, and the third layer being  just the paw holding the cake-again layered with dimensionals.  Before I added on all the layers, I smudged on some tan chalk around the bottom image and then added the layers. The image panel is also up on dimensionals. I use those things like crazy LOL!

Celebrations!!!

The weather has gotten so nice this week, it inspired me to make this  bright and cheerful card for the May Challenge at Great Impressions-Celebrations .

WOYW?W #204 Penny Black cards

hello friend

A wee bit of a mess tonight...lots to do and running out of evening to get it done!   On my desk tonight you can see several fun little Penny Black cards I have been working on, the start of my blog post on the computer screen, remote control close at hand, my Silhouette machine still fired up  and misc stamps/stuff. I finally brought down my tool caddy from my upstairs crafty room ....I certainly missed it and am wondering what took me so long!

Seems I am always low on birthday and all occasion cards, so I used a cute little Penny Black Critter Party clear stamp set and some really fun sentiments  by Paper Smooches...boy do I love those sentiment stamps! I also used the sketch challenge from the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  (Squeaking in under the wire with a couple days grace!)

I am off to clean up this mess and continue on-getting projects ready for a copic class I am teaching Thursday. Cutting cardstock etc. Better get busy! And of course watching The Voice too...love that show! Loved that Dobie Gray song that the Swan Brothers sang tonight...takes me back to my high school days!

i adore you
HAPPY BIRTHDAY-love the polka present that matches the paper

If you would like to take a few minutes to pop over and visit Julia at the Stamping Ground and see some fun work spaces in progress(some of us messy, so of us oh so tidy) ...just sayin'.

Home is Where the Heart is!

Welcome to:

Home is Where the Heart is.

There really is no place like home, is there?

I cut this step card  and all the embellies with my Silhouette and  added in the sweet stamp Home is Where the Heart is.

This would be a great little card for a new neighbor, someone returning from a trip or maybe even a school mate!  I really wanted to color this house pink-but I have lived in a pink house for years and years, and decided I needed a change! I mean who lives in a pink house.....

Just a wee reminder that our April challenge is almost over-you have just a day or two to join in!

I hope you can take a few minutes and check out the Great Impressions Stamps Blog and join our polka dot and pastel challenge!

See you next week!

Art Impressions Comfy Couch

I love all the Art Impression Girlfriend stamps...I made this card  for the orange part of the state of Oregon...We have the Oregon State Beavers(seen above) and the green University of Oregon Ducks.

I have so much fun dressing these gals in their school colors! Can you imagine their conversation as they sit on the couch watching a big game! OH MY!

I colored the girls using oranges and different colors of greys. The image is cut out and added on the card  with dimensionals. The OSU , flag banner are cut with my Silhouette.

If you love the AI girls as much as I do, you can find them  at Inspiration Emporium. If you use the code suestamps13 you will receive a 10% discount.

I am entering this in the Art Impressions Challenge- Layer It Up(must be at least 4 layers)

Well okay, I guess I need to show you the Ducks card that I posted earlier in the year-- again...

WOYW?W- World Book Night 2013

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday? Tonight I swiveled around from my desk to show you the table right behind me in my family room...it holds my SU! scoreboard and guillotine cutter...underneath are some holders with my 6x6 paper pads and some of my 12 x12 paper in the larger holders, the white box holds my Art Impression stamps(card coming soon), a basket on the floor with cards and a few other doo dahs. On top of  the table is also my embossing gun...not much of an embosser, but I use it to heat and  unstick crooked papers etc on my cards-ALOT-I like things straight LOL!

Last week I had Luigi all colored up on my desk-if you want to see how cute he turned out-click HERE.

Today in the US is World Book Night 2013
I see they have one in the UK and Ireland too...and Germany I think!
My local scrapbooking store, Urban Paper, was participating by giving out one of the book selections-Thanks Jill!!!
What perfect timing-now I can show you these cute little bookmarks I made with my Silhouette(templates available in the online Silhouette Store)!
Makes me smile!!!!
I have more...they are addictive!

That's it for tonight...a quick post! Take a few minutes and pop over to the 203rd WOYW?W post...there are close to 200 players every week, so you have lots of desks to pick from-pick a few and say Hi! A quick Hello to Julia at The Stamping Ground and be on your way to desks around the world.

Go Duckies!!!!

Welcome to:

Go Ducks!

I am chronically late with baby gifts--I know it is so bad... My goal is to acknowledge the new baby before they graduate from college LOL! I am somewhat proud that this is a baby gift for a little baby boy just a few months old!!!

I found this mini album on Pinterest and the video on You Tube. Very fun!!! I did use SU! cardstock and I think it is too heavy for this mini-or I need to adjust the gussets to be a wee bit wider.  I would suggest maybe Bazzil cardstock as the perfect weight to use.   Because my cardstock was thicker, I had to use ribbon to close this little mini album, otherwise I would have used magnet closures. Each pocket has a square photo mat that pulls out.

I actually envision this mini as an  Oregon Duck "Gwamma" brag book-imagine that!?!  I stamped the Duck In Tow stamp several times and used the complete image on the front, and then cut single duckies to add inside.

I cut the letters and little feet with my Silhouette.  The designer paper is Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Boy.

I hope you enjoyed this little duckie project!

Please take a few minutes and check out the Great Impressions Stamps Blog and join our polka dot and pastel challenge-you could be a winner!

See you next week!
