House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #235 -Give Us a Bow!

Challenge  #235

Give Us a Bow!

For this bright and cheerful card I used Cling Easter Egg Nap and also a cut file for the card base from the Silhouette Store, Center Box Card-designed by Lori Whitlock.
I cut off part of the cut file design and added my little sleepy meece and a sun to warm him up. The image is colored with copics and the sentiment is from a Jaded Blossoms Easter sentiment set. I rarely use orange, but this card just called for it...must be the Easter thing LOL!

This card folds flat for mailing...pretty nifty!

Hosted by mousey teamie Diane and the theme is

"Give us a Bow"
(Any kind of bow--ribbon, jute, twine, lace etc)

Happy Valentines Day-Bear Hugs

I am just popping in to share this cute little project I made almost a month ago.  Isn't this cuddly bear cute-eh-mous? Good thing- Every year I make goodies for my co-workers-about 35 in all. Unfortunately-due to a serious  illness, I have been away from home this last week taking care of my Mama and did not get a chance to finish them (Mom is doing better each day)...So I will hand out just the few and see if time permits to finish the rest...

You can find this file at the Silhouette Store (designed by Jennifer Rush):

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-LOVE

Challenge  #234

hosted by our Talented Teamie, Christine is

(Use at least ONE Heart on your LOVE creation)

NOTE that ALL of our challenges have the alternate option of
So come and join the fun by entering your projects using
any House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image
stamps, CD collection images and, or, any decoupage by
House-Mouse Designs!

I used a partial stamp for this card...I needed a small image to fit into the center heart.  After looking through all my stamps-I found the perfect image, or should I say 'partial' image.
As a fan of House Mouse/Happy Hopper Stamps, you all know they are fairly BIG stamps, so can you see what I did??

I used just the two little smoochie bunnies from this image, just inking up part of the image and stamping it on the precut heart. The stamp is named Mistletoe Bunnies.  I love it when I can  use a stamp for different occassions!

The card base is a cut file designed by Lori Whitlock named
                   A2 x-card Valentine Heart.

I used copics E31,33,34,37 and E42,43,44  E00 and R20 for the bunnies. BG11 for the sky and T 0,1,2,4 for the ground.

Penny Black Cupid at Work

February Challenge

Try Something New

For today's card I stamped my sweet Cupid at Work image in Versafine ink on Canson watercolor paper. I dug out my long neglected Stampin' Up watercolor crayons and gave the water brush a whirl! I added two layers of 3M foam tape and made this in to a shaker card. I used a mixture of beads and sequins for the shaker goodies. I used Lawn Fawn dies to cut the oval and the word love. I used Wink of Stella on the sentiment and hearts. The paper is some MME Love Me (Pink Hex) that I have been hoarding for quite some time!

My Scrap Chick-Lil' Bee

Don't you love this Lil' Bee?  I have been in love with him forever!  Something about that sweet little face just drew me in! This is a dollar file  from  My Scrap Chick. What a deal!  And...You should probably pop over and see the new Buffet Bundle Special and the new Easel Cards too! I can't wait to give them a try myself!

Here you can see that I added double pop dots on his wings so he could fly away to his special sweetums!

How I made this card

I used digi paper(freebie from Shery K Designs --Ladybug) for the red polka dot base and sized it to 4.75 x 4.75 on a 5 inch base.  I grouped all the cut file pieces together because I originally thought I would make Lil Bee a  print and cut. Then....I decided I loved the pieced look for this card.  I made an offset of the grouped file and then subtracted the offset outline from the red polka dot digi paper-leaving the white space to add my Lil' Bee.   I did trace the antennae from the pdf included in the file and filled it in with black and added it to the base before I printed it. It was just too tiny to cut.  You can see above how it looked after I added the wings.  I then added the completed pieced Lil' Bee and sentiment from a Paper Smooches stamp set (Bee Mine) and it was all done!

Well that's it for today-Hope you enjoyed this Lil' cutie card-I certainly did!

My Scrap Chick -- 3 Snowmen

I am so very excited to announce that I have been chosen for the 2017 My Scrap Chick Design Team!

Needless to say, I am tickled pink!

I have used My Scrap Chick files for many years(cuz I  them) and am so excited to share them with you!

You can see many of my previous creations HERE.

I love this 3 Snowman file....It was luvvvv at first sight! I chose to go with more of a Valentine/love theme as I was making this for a dear co-worker who is retiring after 23 years.

Here in Oregon we are so buried under snow that we might as well be in Alaska!  Almost 2 months of abundant snow has changed us all into snowmen LOL!

We have a small  HR staff of 3 who worked closely with Tammy so I thought these three snowmen would perfectly represent our team.  I resized a heart from the Heart Treat Cone cut file and added it on a pop dot next to the computer generated sentiment.

Although it is hard to tell in these pictures, each snowman is edged with pink chalk and also have nice rosy cheeks.

Sue, Aracely and Betty

I am excited to share more fun cut files soon-so be watching for them!

House Mouse Challenge 233-Reuse/Recycle

Challenge  #233

Recycle or Reuse

Recycle...let's see anything from your house or your crafty stash used!!
Use up all those crafty scraps...or boxes...or containers hanging around the house!!

You also have the alternate option of entering the challenge with an "ANYTHING GOES" project too!  Just be sure to use House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies stamps, CD collection images and, or, any decoupage by House-Mouse Designs(R)  on your projects

Our challenge today is to Reuse or Recyle something on your card. So...I am reusing this stamp again-a stamp I bought at a garage sale. The stamp that I think I made my first House Mouse card with and have used many times since! This is an old Stampa Rosa stamp named Party Mouse.  I am sure it has been re-issued as it is a popular one! Since I still had my 'singletons' on my desk from the last card I made, I couldn't resist inking up Monica!

I used a fast and easy little fun fold card that has a lot of dimension.... 4-flap window nesting card-bracket designed by Lori Whitlock.

Such fun Echo Park cherry paper(Homegrown Cherry On Top)- you gotta know I love anything with cherries on it since I work at a cherry plant!

I used a small sentiment from Snippets by Penny Black.

This Challenge is very Generously Sponsored by our very own Teamie who is providing a House-Mouse prize for you!

The Prize is generously provided by Teamie Beth

House Mouse Monday Challenge 232-NEW Friends Mid Way Reminder

Challenge  #232 Mid Way Reminder

Lots and lots of New Designs and Products!
Interpret this anyway you'd like and just tell us what is NEW about your project! Could be anything New, New theme, New Year, New Celebration... up to YOU. As always, we have the Anything Goes Option!

New Friends

Hello mousie lovers!  My card today is a throw back from the "olden days" of my stamping years.  In the beginning of my stamping days, I only had these little single meece stamps and I would put them in all types of scenario's-they were at my mercy!  I belonged to a Yahoo House Mouse group and that was sort of standard practice with us all. I stumbled across a card the other day made by Dorothy Spier-she was the master of getting the most out of her single stamp meecies-bless her heart. Dorthy has since passed away and I cherish each of her creations!

I decided when I saw this fun Valentine Cut file from the Silhouette Store, it would be perfect to slip in a few meece! I did enlarge the card so I could invite a few more critters to the party! (The finished size is 4.25 x 6)

Here is just a small pile of my individual house mouse stamps.  You could use meece cut out of scenes as well----if you are needing just a  mouse or two!

I had my Scan N Cut2  cut out the meece...quick and simple, although there were a few casualities in the cutting of the meece-a couple lost tails and..can you find the poor mousie that lost a part of his ear?  Normally I would just rescan the images to have them cut right, but because I knew they would be tucked in under the hearts I just went with it!

I am sharing with the following challenges:
