Penny Black Saturday Challenge. ATG or Easter

Midway Inspiration

March 2023 Challenge

Anything Goes

or the optional theme-

Easter

I pulled out a bunch of my classic Penny Black Easter stamps to make this fun slimline card.  For the life of me I could not get a good picture tonight, so I'll try again in the daylight.

I used three classic stamps:

Easter March

Easter Goddess

Eggcited Bunny

Silhouette cute file: Strawberry Slimline

Garden Friends

3D Flower Gnome Box Card

Spring Chick 3107H-discontinued.(smaller version is in Garden Friends)

I have quite a few of the 'older'  Penny Black transparent critter sets. They are perfect for creating fun little scenes. My favorites are the hedgies, mice, bunnies, and chicks.  For this card I made the card base with a Silhouette  cut file.  After cutting out the  gnome from the Silhouette file, I glued in the cute little critters.

HMFMC #384 Monday Challenge-More Than One Fold

#384

Anything Goes

with the option theme of

MORE THAN ONE FOLD

Hosted by our Talented Teamie Christine

Flower Arranging HMCP72 (older HM stamp)

Silhouette cut file: A2 Front Easel Card

Sentiment is Tim Holtz Crazy Talk

How to make this easel card:

This card was inspired by the beautiful cardstock I used. Gosh it is so beautiful! This is an easy little easel card cut with my Silhouette. The white front panel is xpress cardstock. Colored with copics.  This style of fun fold is pretty simple. Card base is 4.25 x 10 and scored at 5.5 and 7.75 inches. Cut designer paper as preferred.  The little white front panel 3.25 wide and 4 inches long PLUS  the top tab (4.5 inches if you don't want a tab). It is attached with a little brad through the white piece and the designer paper. That's it. Be sure to crease the folds with your bone folder so the card stands up correctly!

Happy Valentine's Day Folded Card

I got this cute wood mount little hedgie stamp from 123 Stitch in my last order. I love these classic critter images. I didn't make this specific for Valentine Day. I made it more as a friendship card. It would also be a cute Wedding or Anniversary image as well!

I made a few Valentines...

Cute little Valentine Gnomes (with lots of pieces...)  I cut out 5 sets of these as I thought they are also perfect for wedding/engagement etc. All the elements are on pop dots. I enjoyed piecing them together as I watched TV...multi tasking you know! Not the best picture-sorry.

Silhouette cut file---Pine Trees--for background
Silhouette cut files-Valentine Gnomes
I think the sentiment was from a Penny Black clear set.

Lawn Fawn Build-A-Cabin die set

Silhouette cut file---Santa Scene Card-for the night sky

Silhouette cut file for the trees

The cabin die seems to be out of stock a lot of places but so worth it. It's very versatile! I buy very few dies, but this one caught my eye as we actually have a log cabin on our property that my Dad built. He loved his card.  The red cabin for my hubby and his Dad (his Valentine Birthday!) and the tan cabin for my Dad. I used Tim Holtz Crazy Talk set for the inside Valentine and Birthday sentiments. A classic go to set that has all the occasions.

I cut tons of pieces in different colors and did a fun mix and match when building my cabins!  The rest of the scene was cut with my Silhouette. I think this cabin die will be well loved!

Thanks for popping in!  ♥  Sue

HMFMC #383 Anything Goes Option Doodle It

#383

Anything Goes

Option - Doodle It!

Hosted by our Talented Teamie Carol

I am a terrible 'doodler' so I just did the minimum I could on my card so you wouldn't call me a cheater LOL.

It's little Lukey's 13th birthday this week so this worked out well for me! Little Lukey is not so little anymore. The dang kid towers over his Gwamma at over 5 foot 10 inches. At this rate he will be 6 foot by this summer. He's always been a tall kid for his age.

He's such a kind and gentle boy and loves to craft with me. He loves arts and crafts as much as he loves basketball and soccer!  I hope he doesn't grow out of that!

I used a Stampabilities oldie stamp named Mun-Cheese HMOR1149 for my card and couldn't find a link for it anywhere-but it is dated 2012 so that explains why. It's fun to go back and pull out classic House Mouse stamps. As much as I don't really like stamping with wood mount stamps anymore...I treasure my huge selection of House Mouse wood mounted stamps and especially love the ones made by Stampabilities because they had colored images on the top of the block.

Such a sweet little charmer indeed!
I stamped, colored and fussy cut the little bear holding his Valentine stash.  I cut out the heartstrings background with my Silhouette and added it on to a piece of paper that I scribbled on with an R83 copic. I added my little bear and the embossed sentiment on pop dots.

HMFMC #382 Frame It

#382

Anything Goes

Option - Frame It

Hosted by our Talented Teamie April

I love this challenge because I typically frame many of my images so this was easy!  I would love to have a good stash of Valentines for my friends!

I cut my pretty heart card with my Silhouette.

To get nice clean cuts with my Silhouette I used Michaels
Recollection linen texture cardstock(65 lb-that's my favorite for
Silhouette pieces.  Bazzil, SU! or other cardstock is my normal
choice for card bases but this cut was too intricate for heavy cardstock).  That means it's not heavy enough to be a strong card base either. I cut 4 hearts and glued them into 2 sets so I had the extra strength.  I glued the tops of the two sets together after scoring a line on the back piece to get an easy fold. I cut the other hearts out with my machine to finish the card.  I played around with adding a little tag with twine but in the end...I always go with the CAS look!

inside has a sentiment from a PB set Magical Friendship.

It's been a long time since I have joined in a challenge. It's been fun to see all the inspiration on all the blogs.
I'm going to join in the following challenges:  These can all be found on Paper Playful
