3CTC-Fall or Halloween Treat Holder

Make a treat holder for Fall or Halloween! What fun over at 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge this week! Should be some great treat holders for you all to peek at this week!

This was a project I meant to make last Halloween, but darned if I didn't run out of time. I did make these cute pumpkin bag treat holders though. They are both creations I found on Martha Stewart's site. You can read her directions on how to make these Witches Brooms HERE. I also found a great tutorial with pictures HERE. (sorry my pic does not show the whole "broomstick", but I had to crop so you didn't see the pile of paper plates on top of the microwave LOL)

I have a lot of random Halloween stamps, so this gives me a chance to use a lot of them. I don't get too fussy as the kids will just rip them open in two seconds anyway.

I knew I was going to make these this year, so my sweetie cut these branches for me in the spring, so I had them cut and ready to go!

Each bag takes the following supplies:

1. 2 paper sacks-I used sacks about 6 1/2 inches tall, small treat size. If you use too big of a sack...it will hold a load of candy. This bag holds about 8 minature type candy bars/bags. You will fill one bag and set it inside of a shredded bag.

2. Twine

2. Branch or a big pretzel rod works equally well. Should be about 12 inches long or so.

4. Lots of good treats!

This image was gifted to me. I believe it is a Darcie's stamp...so cute...wish I had more!

Sally the Witch by Stampabilites

Spooky Snoopy by Stampabilites and a Studio G/ Michaels $1 stamp

Studio G/$1 Michaels stamps bought last year.

Go take a peek at what the other stampers created and maybe get a headstart for Halloween!

3 Clover's Thursday Challenge #3-Green!

This week's 3 Clover's Thursday Challenge is to use GREEN as the main color of your card and to include 3 embellishments! I am not big on embellishments, so I really had a hard time with this card. I was calling this card my "build a bear" type card...I just started with my image and sort of kept adding "stuff" to it. LOL...one of those type cards.

You all now how I love different types of stamps...so here I picked a stamp from my Winnie the Pooh collection...yes, another collection you have yet to see LOL! In this stamp, Christopher Robinson has just found a 4 leaf clover! Lucky!

If your feeling lucky this week, I hope you will join in with Kerry and the rest of us on this great challenge!

Penny Black Stairstep card

There's a whole lotta paper piecing happening on this card! The little letter the "chick" in front is holding is pieced in pink SU! DP, as well as parts of the hats and the bow too! I got some new SU! Riding Hood Red DP in all the different prints and it is just beautiful. I just had to try to fit it in on this card where I could.

I used copics, prisma pencils and OMS and SU! markers to color this card. (that's a lot of stuff to clean up too LOL)

I dug out a retired Stampin Up Chicken Wire background stamp for the back drop . I used to be such a background stamp fiend...but have gotten more where I use DP now. (which explains the chaos of my craftroom!)

This card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge #35.

Now, I think this might be the last stairstep card I make for a while, but no promises...I just love making the little scenes this style of card allows!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Sleigh Ride

This is one of my very favorite House Mouse stamps. I have had it about as long as any in my stash. It is one of the original Stampa Rosa House Mouse stamps. When Stampa Rosa made their House Mouse stamps...they were always so much bigger than what Stampabilities makes now...They have been downsized like most things LOL!

This card is almost too late for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge---make a Christmas card! Sqeeeeaakkked under the wire me thinks!

I cut this image apart to make this card. But...I need help! I know there are a lot of quick witted stampers out there that can help me with something cute or funny to have this meece say...any suggestions?
What should I say? Help me, help me!!!

Stamps: Having a Sleigh Ride (Stampa Rosa), SU! little snowflake, Studio G sentiment, G Rated conversation box

Cardstock: Navy, Real Red, Bashful Blue

Verve Sketch VSHR1 Bushels of Blessings

I made this card for Julee's Holiday Release Sketch Blitz VSHR1. You can read about her sketch challenge HERE.
I was trying to keep this card warm and fuzzy with fall tones and the brads I had were all this pewter color...soooooooo I took one of the three copics I own (light walnut) and colored the brad...it worked really slick! It dried quickly and did not wipe off!

Stamps: Studio G $1 stamp sentiment

Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, DP from K&Company mat pad...pure lovely paper...textured and richly colored( I won this in some blog candy!)

Ink: Choc Chip

Misc: Martha Stewart leaf punchies(gift from Heidi Fleetwood, thanks sissy!) Memories? brad, American Crafts fall ribbon, one copic marker LOL

Weekend Sketch Challenge #62- PB Halloween

This was a fast and easy challenge. I have been trying to get to this PB stamp before Halloween is over and this stamp fit so well with Beate's Challenge here.

The little owl and the little peeking green bird are 3D also. I used my Martha slime and bat punches.

There is a story to this card...but in the end, the trick to this card is that it opens backwards! (it didn't start out this way LOL) I decided to change the papers around after I had already adhered them, so instead of wasting the messed up black card stock, I decided to make the card opening the wrong way and use the TRICKS sentiment.

Stamps:Penny Black night things 3714H, Studio G sentiment

Cardstock: Black, All Debbee Mumm DP

Ink: Black and Prisma pencils

Misc: Circle Nesties, Martha Punches

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge- Apple of My Eye!

Isn't this just the cutest darn Happy Hopper stamp? I have had this stamp since it first was released. I have to say this blog is enticing me to use all my uninked stamps and I am lovin' it! The difference I am finding is that I used to make 3 or 4 of the same card but now most of my cards are just going to have to be "originals" because by golly, I am off to the next stamp....You should see the order I just received from Dick and Katie at Hmstamps and KTstamps. The links to their online stores are on to the left in places I like to shop! I am going to have to get busy!

Dick at HMstamps has decided to focus just on Penny Black stamps and Katie is now handling all the Peanuts, House Mouse and Friends, Stampendous etc. Go take a peek at their sites!

I made this stamp for the HM&F Monday Challenge...well my stamping time seems to be the weekends, so I am always the last minute lizzy in joining in! This week's challenge was to focus on stitching. This is the first time I have used my sewing machine on a card...fun stuff!

I pulled out my Summer Picnic DP from SU! Oh this stuff is sooooo nice! Love the rich colors. And of course my Martha scallop punch is never far from my reach!

I colored this image with my prisma's and then sewed the image on to some DP and added some little buttons and ribbons to finish it off. I love the sentiment I bought to go with this Happy Hopper too!

I used my beloved little paper shaper apple punch inside.

Stamps: Stampabilities- Happy Hopper An Apple A Day (Hop It) HMLR1047, Apple Of My Eye DR1088

Cardstock: Real Red, GP white, SU! Summer Picnic DP

Ink: Black, Prisma's, SU! markers old olive, real red and choc chip to color sentiment

Misc: Martha scallop punch, SU! buttons and red gingham ribbon, paper shaper apple punch, my trusty sewing machine!

Sesame Street Halloween Pop Up Card

This is the card closed...the paper clip is really NOT part of the card, but this spooky card would not cooperate standing up like this so it needed some help. If you look reallllllll close, you can see the spider web embossing on the base of the card. This is how it will look folded in the envelope.

You can see how this card stands up in this picture . I made it from this tutorial on SCS. My inspiration came from these two pop up cards on Curt's blog!

Now, I really don't think of pink and green as Halloween colors, but hey, a person has to be true to their Sesame Street characters...I wouldn't want Count Von Count mad at me!

I've been working on this card here and there as I had extra time, so it really doesn't seem like it took much time at all and it was a lot of fun to make. I absolutely love fun fold type cards. Nothing grabs my attention faster than some fancy folded card posted on a blog! I will have to make more of these! And of course, I couldn't wait to use my new Martha Stewart fence and bat punch. My sweet daughter picked them up in the big city for me! Thanks Erin!

I used a glitter pen to spruce up Mr. Booglie Ghost(oops I mean mummy!) also. You can't tell it in these pictures!

ETA:

Let me know if you make a pop up card and I will link here!
Heidi's pop up card
Julia's pop up card

Stamps: Stampabilities Sesame Street Count Von Count IR1031, retired SU! Booglie Eyes Ghost, Studio G Sentiment.

Cardstock: Black, Pink Passion, Glorious Green, GP white, Misc DP for the fence(the fence punch will not work on SU! cardstock-you will need to use light weight DP with this punch)

Ink: Black, Prisma's

Misc: Fiskars web texture plate, Martha Stewart bat and fence punch, SU corner punch, white inkssentials pen to highlight Count's suit, SU! gingham ribbon, sticky strip
