What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday 108-Welcome Tucker

Sometime today I will have a brand new nephew. I can not wait to welcome little Tucker Mason!.

I made this card for Tucker using the  Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #141. Tucker's Mama is a crafter deluxe and a stamper too, so I know she will love this little Popcorn Bear image! I think she probably even has it..knowing that this stamp addiction thing runs in the family LOL!

My desk this week:

It's all about the microwave popcorn tonight....

Here is a shot of my desk just how it was when I finished up this card as well as started on a couple others. Multitasking as I have not stamped in over a week. I had some special visitors this week and little hands do not help when stamping, so I turned off the light and shut the door and played with the grandbabies for several days!

Cole "encouraging" his brother Luke to look at the camera! LOL

If you get a chance, stop by and visit Julia and the rest of the workdesk addicts over at The Stamping Ground!

Card details:
--------------------------
Stamps: Popcorn Bear (have to find the set so I know the exact name sorry), sentiment is computer generated.
Cardstock: Bo Bunny polka dots and some DCWV green
Ink: Memento Black, Copics
Misc: corner rounder punch, twinery twine, heart nestie

Penny Black Christmas in July!!!

Grandbaby Scoop:

Really, I have not been lost. I have had the "bestest" days visiting with my grandbabies! My daughter brought Cole and Luke to visit for 4 days. I have been holding a sleeping baby- "little"  Luke, and having overnight slumber parties with Cole. On the way back home today, Cole told his Mama that he was going to go back and live with Gwamma! ( Guess he got over being in trouble for bonking the dog on the nose LOL!) Oh the energy of a 2 year old (he tells me his is almost 3 in August!).  Little Luke is not so little either. At 5 months and over 20 pounds, he is one little "Bubba Boy"...I know his Mama Erin has no need to lift weights with this guy!  A wonderful weekend for sure!

Card Scoop:

I just had to join in the Christmas in July Penny Black Saturday Challenge #111. My first Christmas card of  2010!
I used some fun DP that I won as blog candy on the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge when it first started up.  I used the sketch below from Taylored Expressions.

The main image is up on dimensionals and has lots of pretty glitter on the "fur". Image is colored with copics. Sentiment is PB as well.

I do not know how much stamping I will get done this week as I am off on vacation soon, but be sure to stop back by for the House Mouse Monday Challenge...lots of pretties to see! Also, a lot  of fun things coming your way in August!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge-Polka dots!

Here is a little Penny Black hedgie set of note cards I made while watching the finale of American Idol!   Just a little something to keep my hands busy. I hate to see the season end! I can't sing a note without making everyone cringe...so I admire all those singers for their wonderful gift!

The challenge this week at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge #102 is dots and lots of them!  I used Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #114 on these cards (basically anyway). Kept it simple because I love to look at polka dots! The cards are 4.25 square. All hedgies colored with copics and the ladybug  highlighted with a white pen.

The DP on the top card is DCWV (I think), SU ribbon and black embroidery floss. Sentiment from SU! Sweet little Sentiments. Oops the Penny Black stamp is Garden Gossip (1448E)!

Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red polka dot DP and black ribbon. Flower nestie... Sentiment from Stampendous...Just a Note

Stampin Up! DP and red ribbon. Scallop and pinked edge nestie. Sentiment from SU! Sweet little Sentiments

Which one is your favorite?

That's it for now...although I see I just clicked over to 70,000 visitors   Wowser! I will have some fun blog candy to post this weekend, so come back and check it out...

Little BabyGirl- Eline Pellinkhof

I made this card to give to my great niece who just had a a baby girl last week...Welcome to little Emma-a great great niece...wowser! This is another Eline Pellinkhof image. I just love her images...so darn cute! Thanks to Larissa for pointing me to Eline's art...!

I used the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #110 for my layout. The more I started working on this card...the more I thought it started looking like a baby quilt...perfect for this sweet image. I added some faux stitching and buttons with floss ties. I added the dots on her clothing with my copic blender pen. I meant to add this to a polka dot challenge I saw...but do you think I can remember where that was??? Nope.

ETA: I finally remembered where to find the dots challenge!  It is the new challenge blog by the super talented Crissy! Go check it out HERE- Sundays with Crissy! (this is not a Squigglefly image though)

There should be a law about Gwamma's  giving innocent little boys funny punk hairdo's during bath time.

ETA:  Oh looky here...Comment #18 is from Eline Pellinkhof  herself. She added this card as well as my baby boy Eline card on her blog HERE! I am just so darned excited!!! I love her images...she has some wonderful digi's on Squigglefly too.

Take Care Of Yourself

Finally....here is the card you caught a peek of on Wednesday...not much stamping going on this week, but a little craft room cleaning and such!

Got to ink up one of my new House Mouse stamps this week. The design came about through lots of "boos-boos" and that always means to go to plan B! I think I like  how this turned out better than my original plan anyway. The little sleepy mouse is double stamped and mounted on dimensionals.

I used the sketch challenge at Taylor's ( TESC107) for this card. You can see the sketch  HERE.

I added some fun My Mind's DP, buttons and punches and VIOLA...done!
I got my new copic marker holder in the mail, but it was broken, so I have to send it back...but boy is it nifty...I am giving the broken one a trial run before I have to send it back.

Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!

Penny Black Sweet Talk

I colored all  these images with this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge #92 in mind.  The challenge this week is to use springy colors. I hope you are not sick of this wonderful Stampin Up Cottage Wall DP. It is so pretty and it goes a looooonggg way! I made this mini album with it too, and I still have at least half of it left!

I have had this Sweet Talk Penny Black stamp forever and it has not ever seen ink...it was time... and makes a sweet card set as well!

I have not stamped much over the last couple of weeks, just no drive, but today I spent the whole afternoon making these cards. I find if I see some good sketches, that seems to get me motivated to pop up into my stamp room. I did manage to clean it up a wee bit so I could find room to stamp...my goodness it does get messy fast.  I will list the sketch challenges I used under each card.

I actually had to change this sketch up a wee bit as my main bunny image wasn't the the full length of the card and I liked the way it turned out after I added that bit on the bottom.

I am working on a little Gwamma brag book to carry in my purse. Nothing fancy schmancy, but I never seem to have pictures of my grandsons with me when someone asks..how bad is that? I hope to finish it up in the next day or two and then will show you that this week as well.

Seeing Double-Thank You Sew Much

I made this thank you card using the Mojo Monday #119 sketch. I did tweak it just a bit, but stayed pretty close to the original sketch. The little stuffed mouse is on dimensionals on both cards.

This card was made using Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #96 ( TESC96.)

Both of these cards were made for the First Fancy and Fussy Friday Challenge.
Their first challenge is NEW(with a suggestion to use a pink and black color scheme) so I chose to use a new stamp that had not seen ink yet (and I have had it since March...oh my)!  I won some wonderful blog candy from these Fancy stampers back in December and am so excited about it all--Thank you F & FFC! Go take a peek and check out their first challenge ever!!!!!

I stamped and cleaned up my craft room all weekend, so I will have more to share this week! Stay tuned LOL!
