HMFMC #440 ATG or Add Some Sparkle

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge

#440

Anything Goes

0r

with the optional theme of

Add Some Sparkle

Hosted by our Talented Teamie- Lols

I used another new release stamp. This cute little Bundle of Joy stamp is so sweet.

Do you ever have cards that weren't working out?  I colored this image and cut it out with a fancy Spellbinders die.

THEN I put tons of foam tape on the back and stuck it down...crooked. Darn it! It was quite the trick to get out my heat tool and slowly peel it back off and reset it.

THEN I added some glitter to the pillow and it discolored it...so...I did some fancy paper piecing on the pillow to cover up my mess. I think I like the pretty flowery pillow better anyway. Sometimes my mistakes end up looking better than what I had planned!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge-Something New

January

'Anything Goes'
or optional
Something New

Wow, it's been a long time since I have sat down to color! It felt good to get the creative juices going again.

I am going  with the Something New theme...New babies are in the house and this card is being sent to a dear friend that just became a brand new Grandpa! I remember the days my grandsons were born-it was so exciting!

For my card today I used an older wood mounted stamp that has since been reissued into an cling unmounted stamp as well. It is called Pieces of Quiet. I think at one time it was named Piece of Quiet.

I adore the card base file I used from My Scrap Chick. I used the Classic Tall Frame Card file and resized it to fit my image. When doing that, just make sure to group your pieces together so that you resize all the pieces at the same time.

To tie in the red from the image, I cut out a Spellbinders Heart Circles die and used the little throw away pieces to glue onto the frame. Somewhat of a pain to glue, but worth the effort!

Aren't these babies the cutest design???
These files are from My Scrap Chick(see link above)

I always seem to need new baby cards and these cards are definitely one of my all time favorites.

I used some of my SU! blush cardstock stash and chalked the edges with pink and brown for the skin and pink/blue on the diapers. I also added a little pink gingham ribbon on my sweet little girl!

Camouflage Baby Onesie and Onesie Boy Box-My Scrap Chick

Camo Baby!!!

I have a new grand nephew due in April...and his Papa is very much in to Camouflage style clothes.  I thought this would be perfect to welcome the newest member of our family. I made this  cute little Onesie Simple Easel card with a little touch of camouflage paper!  I added new baby's name (Easton) to the front and made the Welcome sentiment on the computer.  And you know there is pink camo paper out there too!?!

Then I made this cute little Onsie Gift Box Boy to keep new little baby boy keepsakes in. It has a touch of stitching and the inside is lined in camo too.

I am sharing with the following challenges:

Expecting a new little Reindeer!

I am expecting a new little "great nephew" reindeer into the family in the next couple of weeks.  I was blessed with being there when his Dad was born so I am excited to meet little Easton when he gets here soon.  Although I have not had much time to craft...I could not send a present without some little crafty touch from Aunt Susie :). I used this reindeer tag designed by Jennifer Rush. I added a white insert inside for the sentiment. I also used red mirror paper for his nose-perfect for a little Rudolph.

I bought new baby boy a reindeer outfit to welcome  him home. He will be lucky if he gets to wear it once, but I am sure it will make for some fun pictures!

His reindeer ensemble! Love the little hat with the antlers too.

Don't these just make you smile?

Just a quick post today before I head out to the door to visit family! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend.

Hi There!!! Long time-no stampie for me! For today's challenge...I fired up my Silhouette and made a quick card to compliment this almost matching stamp! What a perfect pair!

I have a couple new little grand-nieces in my family, so I am making a couple versions of this card! I love the pop out crib and can just imagine these little meeces (friends in crime)  trying to stack those building blocks to either get in or get out of the crib LOL...Normally I would fussy cut all the pieces of the stamp and put them up on pop dots...but that is for another day when I am rested from this incredibly long harvest...one more week to go!    Yippeee!!! I can't wait to sleep in-and at this point I could crawl into that little crib and take a nap myself LOL

Anything Goes

I made this little box to welcome new baby SAM (my friends new grandbaby)-I thought this little box would be perfect to save little keepsake type thingies!  I used my new stamp-Stacking Baby Blocks (with Pebbles). I colored up the image, cut it out with a nestie and also made a mat for it by tracing the outside of the nestie. I added the date on one end of the box and some baby details on the other end.
