WoyW?W Stamps and Smiles

Okay...I have been slacking off today and had to go play Bunco (I won too! lucky me!) Today I am going to show you this card I made using  Stamps and Smiles lil' Cookie Baker!!

I colored this sweet little baker and then cut around the girl and mounted her on DP so the background would look like wallpaper.

Now, it is getting close to time to start my holiday baking...so this card just makes me smile and brings great family memories of baking during the holidays with my children!  I always make a ton of cookies.  You can see them HERE if you are in the mood to browse some goodies and some great recipes!

Card details:
Stamps: Stamps and Smiles Home Baked Goodies
Cardstock: Delovely DP, SU! Pink
Ink: memento black, versafine black and copics
Misc: SU! satin Ribbon, SU oval punches, rectangle nesties, Martha border punch
------------------------------------------------------

Okay...on to my desk...or at least this week for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday  #71--I am going to show you how I store my must have goodies. I have two sets of drawers right next to me when I stamp. In those drawers are all my tools that I use all the time. If I keep them close, I can pick them up quickly and keep the big mess to a minimum! All the drawers are labeled with my handy dandy labeler!

I'll show you the inside of some of these so you get an idea what I like to keep close at hand!

My ATG gun

My junk drawer...stamp a ma jig, sanding block, distresser, paper piercers etc

Adhesives

all my most used ink pads

MY bling!!!!
Lots of glitter! should use this more often!
My brads and clippy things
I have drawers for buttons, pens, prisma's, clear blocks for unmounteds, cleaning pads, embroidery threads, labeler, misc embellies and several more. As much as I would like to have nice fancy, schmancy decorator drawers, I love these rubbermaid type drawers because I can just pull them out and set them on my desk when I need to rummage through them. Hope you enjoyed this tour!

Stamps and Smiles Blog Hop

Welcome to the GRAND FINALE sneak peeks for Stamps and Smiles new release tonight! Jennifer  will be adding 10 new stamps sets to her  Stamps and Smiles store tonight after the blog hop is over.  For the NEW Release, Jennifer is offering a SALE!  Buy 5 of the 3x4 sets and get the 6th  3x4 set free! (this includes all of the past and present 3x4 stamps sets). What a deal!!

To play along with the blog hop, you must find the piggy bank in this post and add my piggy bank $ together with  the rest of the Design Team's piggy bank money.  Email the answer on the SAS blog!  Be sure to check out what you could win on the Stamps and Smiles Blog. The winner will be announce right after 9 pm tonight!

Here is a list of all the teamies playing along tonight:

Sue Kment  ---you are here!

I decorated this cookie jar with this cute little cook!

I also stamped some glassine bags with Staz On (don't use any other type of ink...it won't dry on the slick paper), punched a cute little border, stapled them shut and added this fun Stampin' Up ribbon (see I told you I have a hard time staying away from polka dots LOL)

The FAVORITE family cookie recipe. I got this recipe out of the newspaper probably 30 years ago. You are suppose to make Monster size cookies with this recipe, but over the years I have downsized them a little so I don't act to piggish LOL! This recipe card is a freebie Jennifer added to the very first blog hop post. It is about 4 x 6 ish I think, so plenty big to write your info on! I am going to laminate mine because I use this recipe so much!

Now...take this money and run...straight back to the Stamps and Smiles Blog and email  them your answer...I am the last in line tonight!  How much is in all the piggy banks...????

Day 5 of Stamps and Smiles Release-Special Delivery!

Welcome to Day 5-the final day  of the Stamps and Smiles sneak peeks.

Tonight at 8 pm CST we will be having a fun blog hop and  I hope you will join us for a chance to win some great stamp sets! Please join us at the Stamps and Smiles Blog at 8 pm CST....don't be late!

Today we are showing off the final two stamp sets, Special Delivery and  Bundle of Joy.

Both my samples today are made using the adorable Special Delivery set.  I used a nestie to give a little different shape for this creation.
The sentiment was stamped in a line and then mounted on a piece of SU! blue satin ribbon and then I popped on some baby blue pearls too.

Special Delivery and Bundle of Joy

I made this little milk box thinking it would be a great little baby shower favor. I don't have that fun sizzix die  that makes the carton, so I found this easy tutorial using the scorepal. You can find it HERE. (Really quite easy with Valita's video tutorial!)

I remember the days when my babies would be sleeping away all curled up with their little bottoms up in the air...now I get to watch my sweet grandson's sleeping just like this! This Special Delivery stamp set brings back such sweet memories!

I have a yummy  project to show you tonight during the blog hop, so I hope you can stop back tonight and join in the fun!

This card turned out sort of "Christmasy" with the reds and greens.   I used some SU! DP and used the Blossom and circle  nesties for the shape. Copics used on this card are : R20, 22,24, 27, 29--E 00, 21,27, 33--YG 93,95,97--

Stamps and Smilies Home Baked Goodies!

Welcome to my first Guest Designer post for Stamps and Smiles. I will be showing you samples all week of the new stamps ready for release on Friday, August 27th! Make sure to check out the blog and their store for fun surprises and giveaways!  The two sets starting off the release are called Home Baked Goodies and Fun In the Sun!  I am showing you a card made with Home Baked Goodies!

Check out the Stamps and Smiles Blog and the Stamps and Smiles Store!

Isn't this little Cookie Baker just ca-ute? As many of my long time followers know...I am a fool for a good cookie recipe, so I am almost sure this stamp must have been designed  just for me.... LOL!  A cookie card just calls for a "chocolatey" type card, don't ya think?  To start with, I picked the yummiest My Mind's Eye DP to show off this darling lil' cookie baker. Also, you can't tell from this pic, but all the baking tools are 3D. On the sentiment I used the fancy tags nestie. I cut the white tag in half to stretch it longer to accent the brown tag. I added a few little pearls to the tag label as well.

I hope you can all find the time to come view all the rest of the samples today. Here is a list of all the Designers showing samples for the new release  Have fun!!!.

Paper Sack Easter Baskets

I whipped up these fun and quick little Paper Sack Easter baskets, just trying to use what I have on hand and use this cute Bunny I made last year at the CK Scrapbook convention...when it came right down to it, I couldn't part with the original, so I just made color copies of the bunny and used those...no piecing, no coloring...already done except to cut them out.  This was a little bigger bag...the first I made. I filled it with cello bags of  jelly beans and chocolate eggs...Yummy!   Used my Martha grass punch, and some SU twill ribbon as well. Sentiment was with my Just Rite alphabet. And oops...I forgot this bunny has a tail on the other side...forgot to get a pic.  All this inspired by the challenge this week at EONAC to actually finish projects you had started and never finished....I have lots of those!  Finish it Already!!!

This cutie paper sack was made for my daughter's sweetie! Recognize the tissue Jennifer?  Reuse it all. I won these cute digi Easter stamps from Jennifer at Stamps and Smiles! I just had to get a little coloring in and use the cute sentiment , eggies and bunny too...this is just the cutest!

Received this cute RAK from Jennifer too...thanks!!

I made three of these smaller paper sack baskets...for the boys...they don't need that much candy right? Bunny is a Stampin Up image gifted to me...thanks again Jennifer!  Don't miss my doggie in the background hunting Easter eggies!

This is my daughter Abby's basket...oops I intended to add a little hanging name tag...but oh well... Another photocopied bunny here with some pretty pink Stampin Up satin ribbon.

Really, I wasn't going to make baskets this year...but last night I decided I wanted to do something...so this is what I came up with!  Thanks for stopping in and hope you have a wonderful day!

Sue
