Penny Black Saturday Challenge-Something New

January

'Anything Goes'
or optional
Something New

Wow, it's been a long time since I have sat down to color! It felt good to get the creative juices going again.

I am going  with the Something New theme...New babies are in the house and this card is being sent to a dear friend that just became a brand new Grandpa! I remember the days my grandsons were born-it was so exciting!

For my card today I used an older wood mounted stamp that has since been reissued into an cling unmounted stamp as well. It is called Pieces of Quiet. I think at one time it was named Piece of Quiet.

I adore the card base file I used from My Scrap Chick. I used the Classic Tall Frame Card file and resized it to fit my image. When doing that, just make sure to group your pieces together so that you resize all the pieces at the same time.

To tie in the red from the image, I cut out a Spellbinders Heart Circles die and used the little throw away pieces to glue onto the frame. Somewhat of a pain to glue, but worth the effort!
