What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, Lili Of the Valley, Cake Shop

Awww....tonight is the first time in several weeks I have actually stamped and colored! Been under the weather, but I think I have turned the corner and enjoyed a night of Olympics and coloring this darling Lili of the Valley Cake Shop image.  I made this for a family birthday tomorrow! I used the SFYTT for August. Yep, can you believe I have it in early??? Last month I squeaked in with less than 15 minutes to go!  You can see I have not cleaned my desk off for weeks, and do you see Elmo peeking out from under the pile of papers?

You can also see that I actually scribbled out the sketch from the SFYTT -not taking a chance that I would forget part of the sketch like I did last time! I am sure my dentist will not mind that I scribbled all over my appointment notice!

I just love all the meeces in this image! I so want the one with all the cherries too.

Well, I am off to bed, so good night my What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday friends. I hope to hop around and catch a few desks this week even! Woo Hoo! Make sure to check out our outdoorsy leader Julia on the Segway too. She looks so brave!

WOYW?W and SFYTT July

And yes, it has been quite a day....

Oh my...in my harvest daze, I forgot it was Tuesday here --Wednesday there, What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday and the final hour to get a card into the July challenge at Jen's July Sketch For You To Try-what happened to the time? I ran upstairs and whipped up this card, hoping to remember the basics of the sketch...well almost, seems all this harvest mumbo jumbo has fogged my memory a wee bit ! My memory span is maybe 2 minutes and if I have to remember while walking upstairs, it drops to 60 seconds LOL!  Forgot a little element, but I think this will pass!

Here is my unloved, unused desk. Looks about the same as it has a month ago. Still messy. You can see my little Mousie Olympic card there...one of my fave House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge cards I have made! Looks like I have a thing for scissors today too. Time to file stuff away me thinks!

Well off to link up! Thanks for popping in to say Hello. Sorry I wont be able to pop around to desks this week, but wanted to say Hello to all the WOYWW'ers!  Hi Julia!!!

I bought these darling little 4th of July stamps online several weeks ago! It is a whole set of Stampendous "bee" stamps.  Of course I had in mind sending to the little grands, so I must get it in the mail so it gets there in time!

I have lots of projects schedule over the next few days so don't miss them. Saturday and Sunday I will post a couple fun Great Impressions cards and Monday is House Mouse Day!

I used the June sketch from SFYTT.   I didn't follow the sketch 100%, but you can see it here right? I am also entering this in the Bloggers Challenge this week.

SFYYT April Mother's Day

I had a nice non-stamping weekend---painting garage doors, weeding flower beds, cleaning refrigerators...all that fun type stuff!  I did manage to whip up a few card sets to give as gifties for Mother's Day. I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT April).

Now I am usually skidding in sideways on this monthly challenge, but hey, I don't feel too bad this time because I actually had these done days ago LOL!

I had this pretty paper pad and just did the mix and match thing.  I love My Minds Eye papers, don't you? These papers are from the Everyday Flair 6x6 paper pad.  I got these fun circle sentiments for a  great deal at the Sizzix both at the last convention I went to.  There are 4 different sentiments, so I made 2 sets of cards for the Moms in my life.

Well, this last minute lizzie is off to link up before I miss the deadline! Thanks for stopping in today!

A Gwamma card!

I made up this card for one of teamies who just had a new granddaughter-little Ella. You know...us "Gwamma's" stick together!  This is some new Bella Blvd little girl DP I bought the other day-so cute with those little monkeys!. I cut a little baby  cloud with my silhouette and then added a brown shadow around it. It did say 'baby' but I cut off those letters and changed theletters to  ELLA.

I used this sketch for Jen's March sketch challenge here .

This is short and sweet as I am leaving for Phoenix tomorrow and have not started packing! A last minute Lizzie here!

See you all in a week!

WOYWW What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday...#139 and SFYTT

Tonight I am showing off a big pile of twine sitting on my desk. Yucky, frustrating, irritating.... I get so impatient I end up just pulling a piece and cutting it off. I found this great tip on pinterest! Wrap your twine around a clothes pin (bought the pins at The Dollar store )   When you finish wrapping the twine, tuck it into the "clamps" of the clothes pin and that will hold you twine or ribbon in place! I think it would be better to do this before you start pulling on the twine...too late for me LOL! This will be a perfect project while sitting and watching my favorite TV show!

So neat and compact...such a simple idea!  Gotta love pinterest!

If you have a few minutes, stop by Julia's Stamping Ground  and take a tour of desks from around the world!

And...here I am skidding in sideways finishing my SFYYT (sketch for you to try-January 2012)  over at Jen's i{heart}2stamp. The last day of challenge!

Thanks for popping in today and welcome to all my new followers! Wow-weeee!

I hope to show you some fun Valentines projects if I can find the time this week!

Penny Black Surprise-SFYTT Nov 11

I had to take a coloring break  and  go color one of my new Penny Black images. Even though this is really a springish type image...I made it into a Christmas card, because that is what I need in my card stash! The challenge this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Gold and Presents.

Although you can not tell, I have three layers  of dimension on the image and it looks very fun in person. I used some lovely green May Arts ribbon and made a triple bow.  I then added a few touches of gold stickles for a touch of glimmer.

I used the Sketch For You To Try November 2011.

Oh boy, it felt good to craft again!

Thanks for stopping by..I will be seeing you soon!

I used one of my new Penny Black stamps that have been piled on my desk.  Penny Black stamps are always so happy!

I am going to make this short tonight so I can get some chores done around the house. See you tomorrow for WOYWW!

What's On Your Workdesk ? Wednesday #116-Peel Better Soon

My crafty room is such a mess, do you think I can use this excuse ????

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #116

I thought I might change things up a wee bit and show you this shelf that is to the left of my desk. I have been stacking all my new stamps there so I won't forget what is new...OH MY, I think I better get stamping! You can see some new Penny Black stamps, some new Peanuts, A brand new bicycle Hero Arts stamps set and a whole pile of House Mouse (no surprise there right?) Oh and looky at that fun little Great Impressions Halloween stamp right up front! (some little ghosties lounging on a fence) I think I need to get busy!  The old wooden pop case used to hold my copics, but now holds some SU circle punches and some misc tools.

I am also going to show you the card below that I was working on for last weeks' WOYWW. Finally finished it up and it will be flying to one of my stamping friends whose sweetie is sick. Tried to make it a little more manly than my normal cards. A funny thing happened tonight...I was putting the finishing touches on this card and who should leave a comment on my blog but my friend with the ill sweetie. We must have been sending vibes to each other across the USA!

I picked this little stamp set up at the CKScrapbook Convention this spring.  I used the Monthly Sketch For You To Try for August 2011.

peel better soon

Well I am off to bed...a long day. Went to the big city for my daughters wedding dress fitting...oh she is so pretty! She is getting married on 11-11-11.  Should you have any neat wedding ideas, please feel free to share!

Boy Oh Boy! by Lily of the Valley

Here is the card I made yesterday...and then ripped apart and remade it! Trust me...if I think it was in need of a makeover...it needed it! I hate when I make a mistake and a card is all done! Just sayin I screwed up a wee bit with the scissors on this one! Got a little snip crazy LOL!

I use an ATG gun...have you ever tried unsticking your papers without ripping the dickens out of them? I read this nifty tip the other day and it has opened up my world. I am one of those stampers that has to glue it all down and then decide if I like it. Wish I wasn't like that...but now I have solved the problem of placing the paper crooked or in the wrong place.

Tip of the Day!: How to remove something that is stuck down with ATG tape????
Take your embossing gun and gently heat the back of the paper and then everything will just peel away! ( I knew I kept that embossing gun around for something!)

I took this card completely apart last night, added some stitching and a few  "bits and bobs"  and was happy that I did. This one is going to my little Cole! He is enjoying his summer break for sure! Oh the joy's of a 3 year old! (okay Gwamma...almost 4!)

I used  Jen's monthly sketch SFYTT July 2011.

I am also entering this in Papertake Weekly Challenge after seeing Lorraine's pretty card HERE. The challenge is anything goes with extra credit for buttons. Love the sweet LOTV image she used!
I had planned to add this to the last LOTV challenge, but I just missed out! I am such a pokey stamper LOL!

Hope you enjoy!

I want to welcome Jovi @ Inky Impressions (probably my longest running stamping buddy!) , Lynn @ Late Night Crafter (and a faithful HM stamper and kind SCS commenter- LOL)and Marianne (sorry I can't find a link to you Marianne) as new followers as well as my new feedblitz followers. I wish I could link feedblitz followers, but I don't know how or where to find you. If you are a newbie follower through fblitz, just email me, and I will link your blog!

What's On Your Workdesk #107?

Whatcha Doin?  Getting ready for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?, that's what!  I don't know what whirlwind hit my desk, but by golly, it is trashed. I have been trying for 2 days to finish this dang Peanuts card and could not find paper that made me  happy...I cut up so many pieces before I finally settled on this fun My Minds Eye lime twist-Fly A KITE  DP.

I love this Peanuts stamp(Snoopy alert!!!! Peanuts stamps are on sale- 10% off through June 30th)...love the sort of ho hum look on the faces of Charlie Brown and Linus...like they are waiting for something to happen...totally bored-a perfect fit for this cute little sentiment don'tcha think? LOL! I used the June 2011 SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try) over at i{heart}2stamp

Below you can see part of the mess I made trying to finish this card (there are piles of paper that must be put away)...so now I need to go clean it up and finish watching THE VOICE.   I am also adding this card for the Crazy4Challenges challenge this week which is to add twine, floss or string to your creation.

Take a few minutes and check out Julia's blog and see a  "quad zillion"  other workdesks today....I tell you, I have made some of the best cyber friends ever!

What's On Your Workdesk #104-They Grow Too Fast!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #104...the 2 year anniversary! Time got away from me this week and I did not get my WOYWW anniversary project completed darn it! I might just go ahead and finish it up and share next week. Those crazy crafters that join in each week have some big plans for the anniversary "party".

Since I didn't get my  project done I thought I would share a little detail from my workdesk instead.

I am going to show you my turn table and a peek inside ...my most used small supplies.

my cut up Neenah paper and  misc scissors

 My dimensionals and punches.

all my glues!

For long time followers, here is a current picture of the little loves of my life!
My precious little grandsons, Luke (age 1) and Cole (age 3). I had a great time spending Gwamma one on one time with the boys this weekend while thier Mama was gone and Daddy was busy working nights catching the bad guys.Got lots of good hugs and kisses from my little sweeties!

I whipped up this card to send to Cole, he was sad when Gwamma had to go back home yesterday, so I thought he would love to get some mail! He didn't know the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, so I guess I will have to look for that book for him. This Mo's Digital Pencil image so reminds me of  Cole-that full head of hair!!! I have another one I am working on for Luke. Luke will just tear it up (or slobber all over it LOL), so no need to get too fancy!

I used this sketch from Jen at I  love 2 stamp, just flipped.

If you get a chance, go check out the second anniversary What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday...!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #94-Travel

Anyway you can get somewhere works for this fun challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #94-Travel!

You can use papers that have a destination theme, you could mail a letter that travels...there are lots of creative ways to join in this challenge. The challenge last week really had some shining examples of re-purposing a  HM stamp into a holiday stamp...so fun to see! I love it! Thanks to Sue Drees for the fun challenge this week!

I don't have too many stamps that have things like cars, planes or that sort of thing, so my mode of travel for this challenge is plain old running shoes! Hey, they get you where you need to go, don't they?  Actually, I had my daughter, Erin in mind when I made this card as she is currently training for one of those marathon races...crazy girl!

I used the sketch from Jen's SFYYT for April.  So far I have hit this challenge all year !  I also used some lucious DP from one my new 6 x6 paper pads, lilybeedesign Picket Fence.

My local  paper crafting store, Urban Papers, has some new goodies and I went down and picked up some of the coolest new paper pads, so you will be seeing some new pretty papers coming in my creations in the future! I stopped down there to look at wedding invite ideas (for Abby) on Saturday (after I already bought 4 new paper pads earlier in the week) and almost took some more new paper pads right out of the incoming stock room...they were awesome...I need a 12 step paper addiction intervention! (Jill, I promise I left them there....for now.)

I was going to give this card to Erin this weekend when they came to Gwamma's house for Easter, but little Cole got sick on the drive here so they had to cut the car ride short and turn around and go home. I was a sad Gwamma! Cole called me and said "Gwamma, I "frowed" up in the dar!" (translation, he threw up in the car LOL) Broke my heart that he was sick and also because I did not get to visit with the Newton family. Drats...double drats.....

I used a fun star embossing folder on the cherry cobbler paper. Matched nicely with the DP! I sponged with More Mustard (SU! color) around the checked paper and around all the blues as well. Muzzy and the 3 stars on mounted on dimensionals.

Here goes Muzzy running off into the sunset...

Come join us this week for this fun, fun challenge!

What's On Your Workdesk #95

Welcome to my "crap" room. Yep, Been busy with bookwork and right now I should be packing for my vacation as I leave at 8am tomorrow morning...so what am I doing...stamping. Yes, it is an addiction!

I hope you will hop on over to What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by
" Wolf Whistle" Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground.

A reeealll mess this week, but sort of purposely. I wanted to show all my new "stuff" I bought at the Creating Keepsake Convention this past weekend.. You can see some new copics, Technique Tuesday stamps right in the middle and some new Art Impression stamps buried in there too. Seems it may be a scrapbook convention, but there are stamps everywhere! I also got 3 new nestie sets, you can see them piled in the basket along with some new paper pads.  You can also see some orange dotted svg cut outs for a project I have started for Easter. I had hoped to show you the completed project, but guess it will have to wait as I did not get it done before I head off for a vacation over the next week. I am off to Arizona and hoping for some sunshine!!!!

Last week I could not find my camera, but I finally found it in my coat pocket...don't know why but glad it showed up! I wanted to share a couple pics of my sweet grandsons that visited with me last weekend! I had to make this card in the spirit of all Gwamma's!

I used the the March sketch from  i{heart}2stamp.
Stamp: Inkadinkadoo

 Super Lukey-age 1.
Super Muscle Cole-age 3

 Peek-A- Boo

I am gone for a week, so I will see you when I get back!
