My 14 Carrot Friend

For My 14 Carrot Friend

I have been itching to use my Easter stamps and Doodlebug pretty papers with my new dies!  For this card I used an Inky Antics stamp, and my brand new Taylored Expressions Build A Scene-Rolling Clouds die set  along with the  Lawn Fawn Hillside Die and a few Silhouette cut files!  A little bit of everything here!!!

Love these new rolling cloud dies...already have another project in mind for them...coming soon!

And yes, there are 14 carrots on this card (and no Cely-no carrots were lost in the making of this card LOL).  Do you ever lose little pieces when you are making a card?  I do all the time and it just drives me crazy. I usually find them stuck to my elbow or the bottom of my trimmer-days later...good grief!!!

You still  have a few days to join our March Spring Blooms Challenge! Now my card does not have actual flower blooms but by golly those carrot tops are definitely springish and the greenery "sort of"  flowery don't you think?

I was tickled that this card came together very quickly (for me)...usually I fiddle forever! I am going to enter this in the following challenges;;

Thanks for stopping in today!

Recovering Benton is getting ready to help you get through your cold season!!! Sure to make you feel better right? You can find this sweet Inky Antics stamp at Inspiration Emporium

I made a 'pink/girl' get well tissue box and a 'blue/boy' get well box.   I should be set for anything now! I covered my bases LOL!

I used Recovering Benton along with an Rx bottle and BEAR hugs sentiment from the Silhouette Store to decorate my holder along with a couple sentiments included in the stamp set. (see links below)

If you do not have a cutting machine, you can hand cut with these measurements:

4.25 x11 card base
Score this piece at 4.5 inches, 7 , 8, 10.5
Cut designer paper pieces as follows

Recovering Benton

Isn't he sweet???

I made this card  with the  Accordian Flip 3D die and it's companion die-Frame and Label along with this sweet stamp set- Recovering Benton . This is a card 'hug' for a man, so I tried to tone down the papers(you know how I love the bright colors!). I used Echo Park Everyday eclectic and picked out the most 'feel good' papers from the pack. Some lovelies for sure!

I added some pretty ironwork swirls that I cut out with my Silhouette, along with some wooden heart buttons and white pearls. Keeping it simple...

This is a two part sentiment from the Benton clear set that I stamped together. A very classy one to go along with poor Benton!

This little cutie would make me feel better! :)

Thanks for popping in to say Hello!

Happy Birthday Abby Jo-Inky Antics Millie Mouse

My daughter Abby had a birthday this week and this was her birthday 'card'! This is a 3D explosion birthday cake cut file designed by Lori Whitlock and bought through the Silhouette Store. (linked below)

I also attached Millie Mouse to the lid. She is dressed  in a matching outfit and holding a yummy cake!
I love this stamp set as our dear Miss Millie can hold a cake, flowers, cookies or an envelope. There are also 4 different hats(nurse, hair bow, chef and party hats) and 4 sentiments too. Such a great set!
You can see other projects I made with Millie HERE and HERE.

Here is the box all opened up. I added some little silver decorations around the cake layers and cut extra flowers for confetti. I think this would be fun file if the cake part was hollow and you put fun 'stuff' inside(like $), don't you think?!
Here is the box all  together. The lid holds up the side panels-when you take off the lid off the side panels lay flat. I added Abby's name on the side and attached Millie to the lid.
Pretty flowers on top with silver brads

Inspiration Emporium carries a great line of Inky Antic stamps, so feel free to pop over and take a peek!

I am off to the movies this evening, so see you all soon! Enjoy your weekend!

Inky Antics Sick Turtle

I made this little get well card with the thought of using it for a man type card...men are so hard to make cards for! I used some Paper Loft paper and added some twine and little sewing in order to 'man it up' some!

I colored the poor little sickie, cut him out and added him to the front of the card with pop dots. I added a couple brown pearls and sewed for the first time in ages...made me remember how much I love sewing. My poor machine is tucked away in a corner and doesn't get used much anymore.

I used the new Deconstructed Sketch  #116
below.

Inky Antics and Paper Smooches Gifties

Today I am showing off a few fun things from my new Inspiration Emporium stash!

I made these little gifties for a birthday present.  I filled the little treat box with candy and a Starbucks card. I colored   Delivery Benton  with copics and then added him onto the box with dimensionals. The fun little sentiment is from a Paper Smooches set named Chit Chat .  Some of the little  flowers are popped up for a little more dimension.

The other part of the set is this fun little sticky note holder! This is a pattern from the Silhouette Store designed by Lori Whitlock.  The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Chit Chat set, with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Penny Black Critter Party set.

The inside of the sticky note holder. I used little magnets for the closure, I think they are from Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping in! See you again soon!

Creations by AR New Release-Lantern

Today I am showing you the new Enchanted Lantern template!  Isn't this fun?

I chose to go a little bit different direction with this Enchanted Lantern template...First I wanted to do a wedding lantern with pretty shiny white papers and lots of lovely flowers-but what happened? hehe  I think these turned out so, so cute and I am sure my grandsons will love them! Now knowing my little boys, they probably won't last very long (who gives them 30 minutes? LOL)

Now of course, a bug catcher has to have bugs and grass right?  I cut out a piece of grass with my Silhouette and tucked it into the base.  The darling little bugs are from an Inky Antics stamp set named Hanging Out Buggies Clear Set from Inspiration Emporium.

I lined the inside of the body piece (the polka dot part) with  large netting while it was still flat (cost about 20 cents at the fabric store) and then put it together. I did put the body in upside down(according to the instructions) so that the flap would be on top-to keep all the little buggies contained! The inside bottom will have real grass when the boys add a few  little lady bugs here and there.

I also used twine for the handle instead of wire.

Can you seeing the netting here?
Here you can see the polka dot body-actually put in the base upside down so that I could use the flap to close it and keep the little bugs in!

If you came here from Lynn's blog-you are right on track!  Your next stop is Sue Morris.

Inky Antics Bumbly Bees

I made this cute little mini album with my Silhouette and this darling little Bumbly Bee set from Inspiration Emporium. Inky Antics stamps are clear so I could cut the double lined sentiment apart quite easily to add each line to the sign post!  Oh my-years ago I never would have messed with my stamps, but now I have no problem making each image work for me. You can still put them back together,so really no problems here.

The little mini is  a  real simple design by Lori Whitlock. I think this will make a sweet album for any gardening friend you might have.  I will enclose a stencil so the recipient can cut  circle pictures to add inside!

Don't forget to add  suestamps13  code for a 10% discount in the store!

Thanks for stopping in today-I do hope you enjoyed my little project.

WOYWW Inky Antics

To make this...

my desk ended up like this...

I have been stamping up some images and finishing this cute little Inky Antics card..and getting ready for a vacation next week so trying to finish up a few DT cards. Time to clean up the mess and carry on!

I briefly moved my copics to the end of my desk, almost hiding my Silhouette...OH MY!  You can see some new stamps and on my screen is the site for this sketch challenge I used for this card. (The Paper Players #138) You can get a peek at a couple paper pads  that need to be put away.

I do hope you can pop over and say hello to Mz. Julia  and say hello to all the WOYWW-er's! They are a great crew! You can see all kinds of crafty desks from around the world!

I made another card with Millie Mouse-isn't she a cutie?  I paper pieced her dress and chef's hat and colored her some matching shoes...a girl's gotta be matchy matchy right?

I cut the cookie card using a Cookie cut file from the Silhouette store, mirroring it in the software to make it into a card you can open like this:

Inky Antics Millie the Mouse

Meet Millie Mouse!

Today I am showing you another  project I made while being the February Guest Designer for Inky Antics! (sniff sniff). Although it is my last official post as the Guest D over on the Inky Antics blog, it won't be my last Inky Antics creations. I have lots more coming your way!

I could not decide which Millie to make first...you can let Miller be a nurse, a birthday girl, a baker, holding flowers or an envelope (and with matching hats or hair bows AND great sentiments all in one set)-this is such a versatile stamp set...I had a great time with Millie Mousie Clear Set (and I have several more cards coming your way with it too)

You can have a chance to win this set if you hop over to the Inky Antics blog and leave a comment before February 27th-how cool is that???

Nurse Millie
I made this fun little medical bag for a little friend that was in a childrens hospital in the big city. It was hard on her family to be out of town, so I thought this would cheer her up! Inside I put all kinds of little girl type fun 'stuff'-Princess stickers, Barbie bandaids, cherry lip gloss, hair clippies, and Fairy kleenex! I am sure she will have fun with all these $1 store treasures!

I attached Millie to the lid of the medical bag so she would not get lost!  Hang on Millie.............

I colored Millie with copics and paper pieced her heart filled nurse's uniform with some Bo Bunny paper. I made the first aid cross with my Silhouette software.

I have another friend that had knee surgery and I made him a Doctor's bag and filled it with a bag of pistachio's-he loved it! Nurse Millie cheers everyone up!

I want to say Thank You to Jackie Wamhoff (owner of Inky Antics)  for inviting me into her circle of friends and designers-it was great fun!

Enjoy your weekend and I will see you tomorrow with some House Mouse bunnies!

You can see this over at the Inky Antics Blog today as well!
