What's On Your Workdesk ? Wednesday #115-A bit of brightness!

This is what my desk looked like when I got up after finishing my card tonight...too tired to pick up (maybe)...I usually like to make some type of order when I am done, but we will see what happens tonight as it is bedtime soon!  If you look closely, you can see my nestie binder sitting on top of the garbage can...that way it doesn't take up precious work space, yet I can see it easily and then put away quickly.  You can see a pile of new HM stamps in the middle of the picture. Decided that if I put them there, maybe I would be motivated to stamp them up!

I have been on a bit of a BRIGHT card making binge lately and the card I have to show you today is pretty colorful  too!

Thanks to my long time House Mouse buddy Eve for sharing this darling image with me! Love it! I used the sketch from The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #130.

If you have a few extra moments this week, pop in to The Stamping Ground and say Hello to all the WOYWW addicts, better yet, join in!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #80-Monochromatic

Welcome to House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #80-Monochromatic.

Now...this was a hard one for me...I know, I know, that is what a challenge is all about.
Suppose to make you grow as a stamper right? Well, I thought and thought and then thought some  more...(hmmm sounds like Winnie the Pooh huh?)
I think I had myself so worked up over this, I waited until the last minute to make it so I wouldn't stress over the finished card.  In the end, I liked what I made, but it was not the red creation I had dreamed about...maybe next time I will be a little braver LOL!

I found this fun little fabric quilt piece called a  yoyo (I think) at a garage sale...all made up and ready to use, how lucky for me! I added a Queen and Co. antiquey-ish brad though the center for a neat look. I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #88.

Now come on...be brave...you can do it...go take a peek at this week's inspiration and join in!

Penny Black~Red, White and Blue and Sweet Sunday Sketch

Okay...if you read this blog much during the summer, you all know I am in the middle of cherry harvest here in the Northwest United States...so only natural that I would pick a good cherry stamp to color up for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge #108 of Red, White and Blue. I am hoarding this Stampin' Up cherry paper and will be so sad when I use the last of if. Darn, I wish I had bought more of it!

I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #76 for my layout. The image is mounted on dimensionals, but hard to see in this picture. Very simple and clean!

Sorry to make this short and sweet, but I am off to stamp...stampin' time is pretty hard to come by these days! Enjoy!

Penny Black Sweet Talk

I colored all  these images with this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge #92 in mind.  The challenge this week is to use springy colors. I hope you are not sick of this wonderful Stampin Up Cottage Wall DP. It is so pretty and it goes a looooonggg way! I made this mini album with it too, and I still have at least half of it left!

I have had this Sweet Talk Penny Black stamp forever and it has not ever seen ink...it was time... and makes a sweet card set as well!

I have not stamped much over the last couple of weeks, just no drive, but today I spent the whole afternoon making these cards. I find if I see some good sketches, that seems to get me motivated to pop up into my stamp room. I did manage to clean it up a wee bit so I could find room to stamp...my goodness it does get messy fast.  I will list the sketch challenges I used under each card.

I actually had to change this sketch up a wee bit as my main bunny image wasn't the the full length of the card and I liked the way it turned out after I added that bit on the bottom.

I am working on a little Gwamma brag book to carry in my purse. Nothing fancy schmancy, but I never seem to have pictures of my grandsons with me when someone asks..how bad is that? I hope to finish it up in the next day or two and then will show you that this week as well.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #55 -Mo's Pugs!

sorry everyone....I didn't get lost...just real  busy and got a new speedy computer too!  Sorry to have been gone so long but I am sure glad to finally get some stamping time!

I don't think I have ever talked about my family's love of pugs...I had a pug named Tiger for years and now my daughter has carried on our love for pugs with her two pugs, Bud and Sophie. Bud is real laid back and has a little darker coloring than Sophie...she is the naughty, fiesty one. Funny dogs...Sophie would be in 7th heaven if she actually had a Valentine in her mouth to shred LOL!

When I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil, I fell in LOVE with it and knew I had to have it. It is printed as a mirror image so I could show off both pugs and then I wrote in their names inside each heart.

I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #55I have the circles up on pop dots as well as the pugs.

I have a ton of  Valentine projects I want to complete...but my goodness time is at a premium. I hope to show you a couple more idea's I have rattling around in my brain.

Just a heads up too...Sophie and Bud's Mommy (my daughter Erin) is expecting a baby in the next two weeks, so I may disappear for a week or so while I go help with the new baby as well as getting to be full time Gwamma to Cole. I am so excited for Grandson #2! I will keep you posted!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and Luigi Blog Candy!

Whoopee...I got my replacement Cricut back this weekend (the original quit on me :( )  I had to play a wee bit-- and cut out a bunch of hearts with the multi-cut feature...just to play ya know! I made this card with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  It also fits into the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #3 (Hearts)  I really liked the Sweet Sunday sketch...very clean and simple, my style.

I cut out a black nestie circle, layered the hearts (the red hearts are embossed with the cb swiss dots folder)  and added some buttons tied with silver cording. Although it doesn't show very well, the side scallop piece  is a brushed silver cardstock from SU! The LOVE sentiment is embossed in white. I like how the points of these hearts make a flower in the center of this card -do you see it? (it's kind of like those darn  hidden 3D picture books-remember them? LOL)

I saw this absolutely super dooper amazing card made by my bloggin' buddy Mary over at My Cardz, My Therapy...my Passion and just knew it would make the  perfect Valentine for my pizza lovin' sweetie. You can see Mary's amazing card HERE! Be sure to leave her some appreciation for sharing her talent!
