What's On Your Workdesk #109?

Ohhhh what a mess, but easily cleaned up I think. Just a flurry of creativity-ish ....now I need to go back upstairs to clean it up for the night. Here"s a peek of my my desk for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at Julia's house.

Just a lot of stuff laying around tonight.  One fun thing you can see is this old can...full of lovely old buttons and some cool button cards! A big score at a garage sale a while back. I see these button cards becoming quite popular these days.. You can also see that I need to file away my nesties...the pile is getting deep.  I made a card to show you tonight, but decided it needs a make over badly, so guess it is not going to happen! LOL one of those days....

If you get a chance, pop over and say Hello to our diehard WOYWW-er's!

Ahh buttons, whilst I was away more than anything else, I sewed and knitted - hardly any drawing or painting,

a change of venue - a change of style,

If there are desks out there that are buttonless we must unite and convert them to the incorporation of haberdashery into their paper art...

I can see the billboards now...

Use Your Buttons!

Oh that reminds me of being a kid, home sick from school, and for a treat getting to sting buttons from my mom's button box. Love the look of them but does picking thru it to find the right one drive you MAD? It would me :)

It's so nice to see someone else with a huge desk who is reduced to working in a four-inch-square area! :)

Awesome desk. Lots of fun to be had there! Love the button tin. Mine seems to have sprouted legs and walked off...hmmm....wonder if it is a 32 year old daughter that walked off with it? Happens. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #43

Left a mess on my table this morning as I hurried to finish the last details on a card before meeting my son. Had to stop in and see what yours was looking like today. I'm in love with that tin of buttons!! So much fun to sort through and look at all the different styles..especially if there are some really old ones mixed in. Looks like a good mess to me!!

Great button stash! I have a old jelly canning type jar filled with antique buttons. Lots of fun to dig through it to find the perfect finishing pieces for my cards. Some of the buttons in the jar are 50 to 70 years old. I always think about what the clothes looked like that they were cut off of.

I am a messy crafter & like to have everything spread about ready to hand or thats what i say anyway. If you run out of table the floor is good for plonking stuff on too :)
