I have had this card in my head for a long time! Little Courtney must have known it!

Little Courtney's Ladybug bum!
I made this card for my challenge card on the weekly From Courtney's Closet Challenge. You can see Mama Libby's challenge here.
Courtney's Grandma is getting into the swing of things by buying outfits that we can design cards around LOL...I can totally relate! (Hey Melissa...you should try some scrap pages like this with Cassidy...I know she is a spiffy little dresser too)
I had a good time making this card, although certain aspects were definitely trial and error. I won't show you how much I threw away until I got it "just right"!
I cut the black card card base with folded cardstock and a nestability using the largest plain circle in one of the sets. The red scalloped "wings" are cut from the largest scalloped nestie and then ran through the swiss dot cuttlebug folder and then cut in half. (yes, I love that folder) I had to use my SU marker to dot each embossed dot...I tried numerous times to GENTLY ink them up with a stamp pad...I just couldn't get it to look right without getting a big blotch someplace. The head is the SU 1 3/8 inch circle punch. I punched two black circle pieces and then glued the antennae in the middle of the head pieces. (I tried adding google eyes, but it looked BAD)
I made the antennae by cutting slivers of black paper with my Creative Memory small trimmer(couldn't live without this!) and then I wound the paper around the tip of my paper piercer to get the little curl.
I attached the wings with a red heart brad to the head, and then attached the head with red sticky tape to the cardbase. The wings can FLAP! I love that part...hehe...again I love cards that move!!
Cut white plain circle inside for a spot to write a message.
Oh I forgot...I stamped the black base card with a retired polka dot background stamp.
Stamps: Retired SU polka dot background stamp
Cardstock: SU black, white(inside of card) real red
Ink: Black marker
Misc: swissdot cuttlebug folder, nesties-both plain and scalloped, misc heart brad, misc Michaels polka dot ribbon, metal heart embellishment, misc tiny pink flowers, glue dots and sticky strip.
I also got a couple of other RAK's photographed and edited tonight! I will soon be posting cards from Heidi(you all know my Stamping Soul Sister) and Eileen- a long time House Mouse stamping Sister from my Yahoo House Mouse Group.
