Inky Antics Sick Turtle

I made this little get well card with the thought of using it for a man type card...men are so hard to make cards for! I used some Paper Loft paper and added some twine and little sewing in order to 'man it up' some!

I colored the poor little sickie, cut him out and added him to the front of the card with pop dots. I added a couple brown pearls and sewed for the first time in ages...made me remember how much I love sewing. My poor machine is tucked away in a corner and doesn't get used much anymore.

I used the new Deconstructed Sketch  #116
below.

You can find this Inky Antics Sick Turtle set at Inspiration Emporium.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Smooches Green Acres

Summer is on the way out and here comes FALL!............ And I was just getting into the sunshine...
I made this cute little farm scene with Paper Smooches Green Acres stamps from Inspiration Emporium. I glued the fence onto the back of the barn and attached a couple farm critters and hay onto the fence. I added a little pink piggie inside the barn, being guarded by Farmer Joe too! I have to say that silly ole goat cracks me up!
I made the Old McBarn card from a cut file from Creations by AR. I used this same file to make a Halloween card last year-you can see it here.

Inside the barn- I love you moo and moo every day!

The card folds flat for mailing! Oh so fun!!!!

Thanks for stopping in this week!  More to come soon!

Sizzix Accordian Flip 3-D and Art Impressions

Oh My!!!! I am an Accordian Flip 3D die addict. Although this is my first creation using these 2 Sizzix dies(Sizzix Bigz Die Accordian Flip 3-D and Frame & Stamp Label Bracket), I know you will be seeing many more projects using them! This is a 2 die project, one that cuts the 3D accordian frame and one that cuts out the pretty designer papers  to decorate around the edges and  the center of the 'flip'!

I made this creation for a very special birthday girl and I could not make her just any ole' card ya know!

There is a lot going on here! I cut the accordian card die x 4  and then decorated it  with Echo Park Bundle of Joy designer papers, several fun Art Impression stamps and some files cut with my Silhouette. I love all these goodies from Inspiration Emporium! Check out their BLOG here.

I used some pretty new SU! cardstock for the base (the inspiration for the color combo),  and finished off the card  with some flowers made with punches and enamel dots.

I do hope you enjoy peeking at this as much as I did making it...I am already planning my next creation so stay tuned!

Happy Birthday Oregon Duck Golf Cart!

GO DUCKS!!!

I made this cute Creations by AR  FORE THE GOLFER cut file/pdf for my dear Son In Law Rick for his birthday! I do hope he likes it!

He is an avid golfer and a diehard University of Oregon Duck football fan! Quack!!! I added Donald and the banner to this file to spruce it up! (Donald is the U of O mascot!)

Yep, I found a little pompom from a past game so I had to add it into the picture! LOL

Yes Rick recognized his very own golf tees and golf ball too. Had to borrow them to finish the project and give it back to him!

Imagine the possibilities! I created a 4th of July Golf Cart HERE, if you would like to see that design!

Off for the day-I do hope you have a great weekend!

Life is Art-WOYW?W 219

Our little one is leaving the nest....

Let me explain:

We have a sweet young lady working in our office this summer. She is smart and talented and will be heading off to the University of Oregon(USA) in just a week. She is on the Oregon Dance Team and is anxious to get started on her new adventure. I made this farewell card for her...we will sure miss her-so she better come back to work with us next year!!!

Aubrey aka (Amy with a Y-inside joke there) is quite a talented dancer so I thought this would be the perfect sentiment for her.

Dance on little one...we will be watching you on facebook!

About the card:

I used a fun color pallet card from the Silhouette Store and the perfect sentiment from Great Impressions! I knew when I saw this wonderful sentiment exactly what I was going to do with it!

About the work desk this week:

Here's the ole' desk...thought about tidying it up a wee bit for the pic-but you all know what it usually looks like anyway. I sure miss my cool desk...this one is so small compared to my lovely IKEA desk, but I guess it is less to mess up and clean up!

This week on the left you can see a surprise package from a stamp company that I am going to guest for in October,  so watch for that....a baggie full of change left over from my garage sale adventures this weekend...Also, my tiny black Oregon purse(trying to downsize from a big purse and so far so good)...the Art stamp I just used on a clear mount-waiting to be put away, an important note about something I do not want to forget...TWO phones-cell and landline and some Oregon Ducks stickers for a project I finished this weekend-hope to post that soon! AND you can see Julia's blog up on my computer screen tonight!

I am off and running for the evening-see all you fellow WOYW?W er's next week too! Stop in and say Hello to our WOYW?W Mom-Julia at Stamping Ground!

Entered in the Silhouette Challenges-Shaped Cards.

WOYW?W 218

Finally...been on a wee summer break and just getting home...here is what is waiting for me...You can see Julia's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday post on the computer screen. Also some bills to pay, a package rec'd in the mail and just general junk type stuff all over. You can see the lovely sun shining in too!

Thought I would show you what I keep in my carousel 'thingy'. My fave inks (Memento black and brown and Versafine black) Some glue that I make a mess with and my liner pens and embossing stylus.
And here you can see my zillion of scissors and glue and my Quick Sticks behind the glue (to pick up tiny pieces I have cut out). Now let me explain....  I get to crafting and I lose tools all the time(or have some packed up for classes)...they tend to get buried during the making of a project! I am so happy when they are all rounded up again!!!
Here we are at the Oregon Jamboree- A sea of fun in the sun! Don't know any of the crowd here...just a general shot.
Lukey gives Gwamma a wink and a thumbs up!
And Cole gives Gwamma a funny face! These boys had a great time!

Always nice to see my Cousins. Beautiful girlies!  We had to have our pics taken with Luke Bryan's  semi truck-that's about as close to a famous person as we got  last weekend.. LOL!

Thought you WOYWW'ers would love this crafty...we went to an antique fair in the park one day...lots of lovely things, but love these pretty flowers made from dishes!

Well that is what I have been up to all week-playing!!!! It all ended too soon and now it is back to reality!

Thanks for popping in and reading through this post! See you soon!
