Hello Sunshine---A Penny Black Stairstep card

Hi There!

I have been stamping a lot this week and hope to have more fun things to show you later in the week!

I stamped up this adorable slapstick Penny Black stamp 'Hello dear' and matched it up with a wonderful Ali Edwards/Technique Tuesday sentiment from Bring on the Sun. I had to take another look at the sentiment set as I was typing this-yep it has 8 sentiments plus 3 other images in the set. I reaaallllly like it- so you will be seeing more of it! Both these stamps can be purchased from Inspiration Emporium and if you use the code suesstamps13 you get a 10% discount.

This stair step card fold is a Silhouette file designed by Lori Whitlock.  I enlarged it so that the finished card is 5x7-large enough to fit this cute Penny Black image. I added red matting to it also. Ha-I have a hard time making a card without red!

I started this card with the the green designer paper...looked blah so I added the red mat. Much better. Cut the green flower stems...looked blah so I added a red shadow...and so it goes....

I am entering this in the following challenge:
Penny Black Saturday May Challenge-Anything goes
A Gem of a Challenge-Bring on the Sunshine
One Stop Craft Challenge-Furry Friends
Our Creative Corner-Anything Goes
Crafty Catz-Fancy Folds
Sister Act Card Challenge-Anything Goes Always
Challenges for Everybody-Anything Goes
Southern Girls Challenge-Going  Spotty Dot

I am off to continue on with the rearranging of my crafty space. I guess it is a never ending process!

Thanks for stopping in to say Hello-I love hearing from you!!!

Sue

It's all delightful and happy. Wow...a lot in that set! Yup, what a deal and all the images so cute. Cool idea to enlarge to a 5x7 to accomodate the image.

Sue, you have such a clean, crisp style, which contains lots of visual texture, delightful design elements, usually very cute images with beautiful shading - LOVE LOVE LOVE your sentiment. The paper with the text inside the dots, those layers of happy little flowers, but I most especially love the image and the precious coloring. I feel loved just visiting your blog. hugs, de (ps, you are pinned)
