Oreo Elf Shoes

Aren't these just the cutest? I have to say I LOVE Pinterest!

I saw these little Oreo Elf Shoes HERE and HERE.

They were so cute, I had to make several pairs! Each shoe takes 10 Oreo's wrapped in a cello bag.
I wrapped the cello bag to the back and folded the excess and taped it down. Be careful to leave the bottom flat so the cookies can stand up.
.(I used Wilton bags that I bought at Walmart. (FYI there are enough Oreo's in a package to make one pair and one more shoe-so you may need several packages)

I cut each shoe out of 12x12 bazzil paper(2 shoes to a sheet) with some left over for another project.  I used my cropadile to punch the holes and thread the ribbon to tie the shoes closed.  You can do this step and then insert the cookies last.  I did take Diary of DavesWife's jpeg file and trace it in my Silhouette-so the cutting was fast and easy. I am not quite sure how to edit nodes yet so it was not exactly perfect, but it worked! That will be a project to learn after the holidays!

I used a glue dot to stick the little bells on the tip of the shoe-so fast and simple. I do suggest you put a little glue tape at the end(toe) of the shoe and at the tip(where the bell is)-the cookie 'legs' will stand up better. The shoe acts as a base for the cookies that way.

I added a little personalization for my grandsons and visiting nieces-I can't wait to surprise them with these!

Yes, the house cleaning, present wrapping, cooking and shopping had to wait until I got this project out of my system LOL!

Merry Christmas!!!

These are adorable! So cute for the kids. My favorite cookies, too. I'm always pinning great ideas on Pinterest, but so far all I've made are the recipes. Yum, though. I've found some real keepers! Hope you had a very merry Christmas!
