Great Impressions-Ride 'Em Cowboy!

I made this mini album while taking a  Silhouette online class by Kerri Bradford . I am still working my way through the classes and boy have I learned alot. As I was working away on this mini, I realized it would be perfect to add in some great pics of Grandpa Karl's 85th birthday party that I attended last month. Most all of the elements and design are from Kerri Bradford, although I changed up the photo's and added a western touch to the album. At the party, the area was designed in a western theme-down to a very cool "wood pieced" cowboy boot on the wall. You know how we crafters do 'paper piecing'?  Well, they 'wood pieced' a big ole boot into the wall-and it must have been 5 or 6 feet tall! Very cool!!!! They even built a bed made of logs...oh the talent they have!

I  added in some barbed wire pieces cut with my Silhouette and this perfect Bucking Bronco Cowboy to give this book a bit of a western feel!  I will be adding a wee bit of journaling and then this is off in the mail to the birthday boy!

Ah Sue this is fab, he'll be really chuffed. My word, that barbed wire is good cutting..how impressed am I that you're taking a lesson, absorbing your learnings and actually using the skill..I need to take a leaf from your book of tenacity.
