Creations by AR Celebrating Father's Blog Hop

I am going to show off two fun new templates today...so very fun to create!

I made this template to copy what my Dad's chair looks like with his favorite things near him *recliner chair...a blankey, his doggie and of course what man does not have a TV remote control glued in their hand??? I cut the word  "Dad" with my Silhouette, and made the blankey by fringing a piece of upholstery fabric. I also added little brown beads on the bottom of each corner for 'feet' on the chair.
And the surprise inside...the bottom of the chair pulls out and is a little gift box. I filled this box with pieces of his favorite candy! Yum!!!

A special template created by Adela to honor her Papa.  I made up the trunk and added a cute little memory mini album inside. Just a simple accordian album using matching  papers to pop inside the trunk and fill with special pictures.
the words on the dp fit oh so perfect!
a peek inside
the set
the mini album with the clasp open

I used the lock for a clasp on the mini album
I took the fun little lock piece from the trunk template and  used it  as a closing clasp for the mini album too. As always, everything was cut out with my silhouette.

For a chance to win one of these templates, all you need to do is leave a comment. The winner will be announced Saturday morning! Make sure to come back and see if you are a winner on my blog or possibly one of my other teamies!

Join the blog hop here and take a few minutes to welcom our new teammates Lori and Lyn!!!
seems I am the last in line!

OK - I wish we could make favorites galleries on our blogs beause this chair would go into mine! Wow! I love it - such a great creation with wonderful papers, super shape, and just the best feel to it. I had to do a furniture creation challenge a few months ago with some friends and this would have been the best thing to do! Love, love this!!!!

Love the vintage feel of the chair - great use of paper I would have considered to be somewhat boring!!

Love the way you let everyone know this is dad's chair!! Great!

The "blanket" is such a great touch!! What did you do? fray a scrap of fabric?

What fun looking at all the different interpretations of the chair and trunk. Each has something special that stands out for me. This time it's the "blankie" for sure.

Hey Sue , that sofa was amazing w/ the lil. blanket throw you put on the side and to top it off w/ mans best friend the doggie by his side what more to ask for @ a sofa .
your dads trunk was very US mail style I remember back in days when they use to sell the envelopes w/ the red, white and blue stripes.
