What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Hello everyone! Just a quick post tonight...still have some paperwork I need to finish that I brought from work today, so time to get focused.   I had to move a few things around on my desk to hide a couple design team creations I will be posting later tonight. Some super cute projects I made with my silhouette.  You can see some house mouse stamped images, some paper I need to put away and even my embossing gun. When I glue things in the wrong place...I just heat them up and they become "unstuck" in seconds. I am forever gluing things crooked or in the wrong order, so my heat gun is never too far away....actually it usually sets right next to these stackable drawers (see pic below). These are right behind me when I am sitting at my desk.

I have to say this is the BEST organization tip...I am totally happy to have this in place. These drawers are for all my smaller pieces of cardstock. Each drawer has a punched dot on the front of it (or several) for quickly identifying the colors. This has been a major lifesaver/timesaver-no more digging for scraps!  I am still working on the bottom drawers...have not figured out exactly what I am going to keep in them. Right now I have buttons, bling, stamps etc.

If snoopin' is your thing, (and meeting crafters from all over the world) take a jump over to Julia's Stamping Ground and visit What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!

Fab storage for scraps, I do something similar in a file but it's being out grown to the point where drawers like yours may be needed! Am using my WOYWW snooping as an excuse to munch my way through a bag of mini eggs! Take care Zo xx 77

I love watching your blog Sue, my sweet friend. Miss having contact with you. I just love the idea of using the drawers for color scraps. I am going to do this too! I have had my color scraps in large baggies and forget to use them because they are in a file cabinet. Thanks for this great idea! Hugs your old friend Lori

I love your drawer organization for scrap papers. I have those same drawers for scraps of patterned paper. I organize them by color, then have one drawer of multi-colored scrap. It is such a wonderful thing to have. I find you use it more often when you can find things easier. My original plan was to include cardstock scraps in the drawers too but they got too full of patterned scraps and have consistently stayed that way. Maybe I need to concentrate on using them a wee bit more (since they are easy access and all!). Love all those good things on your desk-mouse stamps, projects in progress, and all those lovely markers right in reach!

I'm late this week. Thanks for the snoop. And special thanks for the tip about the dots on your drawer organizer. I have the same storage for my scraps, but not the dots and I'm doing that today - brilliant! Darnell (184)

Love that tip regarding the drawers! I have legal size folders in a crate beside the desk but it always seems to be over flowing and is hard to get to cause I am always sitting things on top of it!! Truth of the matter is I need to reorganize and get rid of a lot of stuff I never use, seldom use will be a keeper, cause I have so much stuff it can be over whelming. Funny thing is I use most everything I own but not all the time. Have a great week Sue. Love the picture of the boys!!!

I was looking at a couple of little drawers for paper scraps last month but didn't follow up on it, I might go back and see if the store has any left!! Beautiful cards at the back and I spy some HM images too, looking forward to getting back into the swing of the challenges now that I'm back.

Such cute cards and several images in th works. Great tip for storage of scraps. We tend to just dump them in a box or drawer and then don't want to take the time to sort through the whole lot. #58

Hello!

I love your workdesk - so many happy cards for inspiration! I love organization - it makes everything so much easier, especially if you have a small space to fit a lot of stuff into as I do! :<) Wishing you a great weekend!

Your work desk looks very interesting and that was a great tip about unsticking glue. What is an embossing tool? And I love the clothes pin holding something up. Is the pin pretty sturdy. It looks like a fabulous idea.
