What's On Your WorkDesk Wednesday???
Not much, but I did manage to clear out a little stamping space as you can see. Haven't put away my SU! window punch that I used to make the willows on my froggie card yet...Trying to figure out what I did with the cartridge out of my cricut box...wish I knew where it was! Left the box there as a reminder to do a serious search for it. I need lots of reminders! I see the lighthouse stamp I borrowed from Barb there too...seriously need to get that back to her. Not "quite" as messy as last week!
I did want to show you a new purchase I made. I love my copics, but for the life of me I can not figure out why they put a chisel end on them. I rarely use it. I bought a package of medium round nibs that can be added to the sketch marker. They are a little spendy...5.95 for 5, but I think that I might actually use that end now! I will have to figure out some marking system to identify which ones have the new end...a dot or something...still thinking on that. I really wish they would have made the small round nib for the sketch markers...drats.
A close up of the difference in the ends. I think I will add this new nib to a few of my darker colors, red's for sure LOL!
Thanks to all you wonderful WOYWWers for popping in to say hello every week...LOVE hearing from you!

You sure do love your Copics. :)) Isn't it awesome what all you notice when you take a photo. :) Good luck with finding the missing cartridge.
A window punch is on my wish-list I have a local SU lady (about 60 miles round trip) who sends me email up-dates, don't really want to do parties tho' just want the punch! Post might just out do the cost of petrol! Love your rows of compics and hopefully you'll fine that cartridge just where you left it, somewhere near your machine!
Have a great crafty week HaPpY wOyWW!?! ((Lyn))
What a great idea with the nibs. Thanks for sharing it.

I didn't make it round last week so to me your desk doesn't look that bad to me. Good luck finding your missing cartridge, and have fun playing with your new nibs
Happy wednesday
hugs Minxy x
Love what you did to your copics! I am still really new to them (So I have total copic envy) but I love that you have discarded the chisel nib! I will never use mine either! -thanks for sharing!!!-Amanda #33
Love to work with markers too. But, just like you, I use the tiny nibs most. Have a crafty Wednesday.
Buy Franka
Thanks for sharing your space, have a good week!
great close-up shops. I'm not a copic person but I'm sure the new nibs will help you with the detailing! Enjoy the experiments!
Hiya Sue
what a fab idea! I likes that, I never ever use the chisel end, seems pointless, when I have newer pens, I wrap a little piece of low tack masking tape around them, it peels off and doesnt leave any residue.

I totally agree with you Sue! I don't think i've ever used the Chisel one. Maybe they, the Cartoonists in Japan use them??...Great tip :-) Anyways, I see the mice "in aloha mood" stamp on your desk. Who makes that?? I know, you know me that whatever the stamp is, with Palm Tree GET my attention! LOL! ;-)
WOW...NO, I didn't know and thanks so much...going on a hunt for them. I think for "heavy-duty" artist, I see them using the chisel, but most purchasers now are card crafters. I hope they change all of them for the future and offer the chisel as an extra instead. Going shopping for them somewhere.
Did you get these from Scrap-Mart? They have some for $5.95, but the pic is so small, I can't tell if they have the medium tip at BOTH ends. celybeachatcharter.net
I think Copics were developed for artists and not card makers but we're probably a good chunk of their business by now I should imagine. Always nice to find something to make an item more usable though. Hope you find the missing cartridge too.
Hugs

I never used that chisel either but I just got an airbrush system and found out that that's the end you use in it.
Do the new nibs help with coloring small spaces? That's what I miss about the Prismacolor markers.
Good luck finding your cartridge, girlfriend...I can so relate!!
What a great idea on the chisel end! I may have to try that!
Those spare nibs sound a really good idea. I can see you have rather a lot of copic markers. That's a great way to store them too and nice and handy to use. Hugs Monkey & Mrs A.
p.s. Monkey says he might just need to pay you a visit!
Ah love the medium nib!! Don't need the chisel but sometimes want more erm, firmness than the brush. Great find Sue, thanks for doing the legwork! Your desk looks like heaven to me. And if you find your cartridge, could you look for mine at the same time? Opposites Attract. Thank you.
Wow, great idea Sue! I'll have to try that because I never use the chisel tip either. Hope you find your cartridge. I know what that's like when I'm looking for something and can't find it.
Lucky lady with all those Copics...and the case. I love to color, but alas, haven't purchased any Copics yet.
I LOVE this POST
it is almost as good as Lunch Lady Jan's button post, I love it that we are sooooo soooo interested in the details, this is why I cannot ever take too long a break from WOYww
where else can I find people that are are gonna do me a close up of a number of nibs and let me debate their various attributes?
I like chisel tips for writing ( I don't claim to do calligraphy but I can do a Kind of thick & thin stroke thing) and I like fine bullet for solid shading and I like super fines for crosshatch...
this is for defo my fav desk this week, but I think I am still more obsessed with buttons than I am pen tips...

I bought some Copic Ciao a while ago to try them out before I invested in the more expensive markers. I found out just today I can change nibs and refill them also! I also am using my Stampin Up markers for bolder colors but I think I still like my pencils best. Thanks for sharing. Vickie
Fab workspace !
Happy WOYWW
I do use the chisel end.....fairly often. That is the end you use with the airbrush system. ;-)
Oh my stars.. Look at all those copics.. I am Jealous.. I have a little collection of copic. definitely would love to get more.. Some day.. A girl can dream.. Hee Hee..
Hugs, Linda
You were the first person I "met" on WOYWW and was SO impressed by your copic markers. I still don't own a single one, but I like how these new nibs seem to fit your style better.
Hope you had a great WOYWW and you also had a chance to check out my tutorial I forgot to name.
I know just what you mean about those chisel ends - I never use mine either. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Neet #5
Fabulous idea Sue, I'll have to remember to do this when the time comes since I have yet to use my chisel tips. Have a great weekend.
Interesting post this week - you certainly like your Copics :) Love your close-up pics and those nibs look really useful. Have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #99
