Monkey Notes! Wowwy 62

He we go WOYWW'ers  #62!...I finally finished this dang monkey notebook. It has been haunting me and just hanging around on my desk for about a month. I missed you all last week, but I was on vacation! If you want to see what I am talking about, go visit Julia at The Stamping Ground!

Glad to have this notebook finished and ready to give to Adrian's Mom!  Adrian is 3 years old and says lots of funny things. I made this little album for his Mommy to make notes of all his famous quotes. He is not the typical kid...most kids want a dog...he wants a pet monkey. Go figure............

I used my cricut, xyron and a premade notebook for this project. I did learn that if you try to put a cricut monkey with google eyes through the xyron, his eyes will come out all squished! This little monkey got a new set of eyeballs after that! Also showing you a sample of a couple pages. The pages are all decorated differently, but within the same theme. I also added a few print outs of his wonderful art work too!

Project details:
--------------------------

Stamps: Stampendous Changitos and Take Note
Cardstock: Old Olive, Choc Chip and Kraft
Ink: Choc Chip, Old Olive, Versafine black, chalk
Misc: premade notebook, SU leaf diecut, cricut plantin schoolbook cartridge for alphabet, New Arrival for the monkey,  googly eyes, lots of pretty ribbon

This is REALLY cute! I love how you added those stems down the front of the cover to look like a tree!! Aren't these little books FUN to create? Adrian will have this to enjoy for years to come, especially if he actually DOES get a pet monkey! LOL

That is such a cute note book. There is nothing wrong in wanting a monkey - after all Michael Jackson had one :). Hope you had a nice vacation.

I had to laugh about the squished eyes. At first I thought you cut all those monkeys by hand. What a DIE CUT moment that was. This is a darling book and I bet you are as proud of it as Adrian's mom will be to own it.

What a cute notebook! Love it!! I also love how your markers are stacked - what are you storing them in? Mine are all organized but I tried laying the holders on their sides and they're not tall enough to keep the markers from falling out. Love looking at your desk.

A lovely productive desk Sue and I know what you mean about the satisfaction of finishing a project that's been around a while. Love your little monkey note book, it's so cute and I'm sure Adrian's mum will love writing her notes about him inside. Have a great weekend, hugs, Chris

Hope your holiday was a smasher, and happy to have you back at your desk! What a great great gift this is SUe - a notebook is lovely enough, but commpletely tailored to character - gorgeous, it will be so treasured. And it's so cheeky and fun, just love it.

Hi Sue, love the book, Adrian sounds like a real character! I used to work with a lady that had two pet monkeys, one of them was even in her wedding! Love the piles of new stamps in an earlier post, I treated myself to another 9 HM's as JoAnns are now carrying them (online only) and they were 40% off and $2.99 shipping last week! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Hugs
Brenda

Adrian sounds so cool! There is nothing worse than having your monkey eyeballs smashed! LOL That really did make me laugh out loud. This is an adorable project and such a fun, thoughtful one too. Best, Curt

Hi Sue, FINALLY someone showing off their workspace that looks like mine ... Your book is adorable & I enjoyed the video of the kids laughing ... LOVE your copic holder !!! What is it called & how many will it hold? I too have a lot & have them in little cubbies but I like the way you have yours so you KNOW which number you're looking for.... Als oREALLY appreciate you showing the Copic colors you use ... I try to do that on my blog as often as I can.
Hugs from Montana, Janie
