Three Clover's Thursday Challenge -No Layer Cuttlebug card
The challenge this week at 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge is to make a no layer card! And boy, this is not as easy as it sounds. For us stampers that love layers, this was a challenge that generated lots of discussion!
I chose to use my cuttlebug embossing borders on kraft cardstock. I stamped the cherries with craft ink and gently ran some white craft ink over the embossing and the edges of the card to highlight those areas better. Viola! That's the total card!
One thing I did learn making this card...me and craft ink do not mix...I am not kidding, I had red "finner" prints all over LOL!
Now, I have cherries on the brain...cherry harvest is starting here in Oregon...which means my stamping time becomes fairly limited the busier we get. If you don't see me around for a couple days...I am just working...! But really, fresh cherries are just the best! Not to worry though, I have saved some really wonderful RAK's to show to you while I am working away!
Okay stampers....I would love to see what you can create with this challenge!

Very cute card, Sue! Fantastic job on this challenge!
In honor of your beautiful card, and those magnificent cherries that are about to be harvested, may I toast your talent, creativity and your hard work. Without you, I would not be getting shipments, to my local grocery store, of those wonderful cherries! I love your card, Sue! It's harder than it looks, to do one layer, and you made yours GREAT!
Great job with the No Layers Challenge. The Cuttlebug Highlights really add a lot of depth to your card.
Oh, I LOVE the look of your blog...so very CC223. :-) Your card is perfect...we used the same image today. Minds thinking alike. Thanks for always stopping by..you make my day.
What a fantastic no layer card! You did a wonderful job, Sue. Love all the embossing, and of course the cherries look yummy!
YUM YUM YUM! - Great job with this. I like how you highlighted the edges with the white craft ink. The cherries look delicious and I am love eating cherries too. Our local cherries are just getting ripe but I'll be buying some for sure.
wow, great card! I love the simple elegance of a no layer card because I CAN'T seem to ever make one myself! LOL Love these colors!
