WOYW?W and SFYTT July

And yes, it has been quite a day....

Oh my...in my harvest daze, I forgot it was Tuesday here --Wednesday there, What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday and the final hour to get a card into the July challenge at Jen's July Sketch For You To Try-what happened to the time? I ran upstairs and whipped up this card, hoping to remember the basics of the sketch...well almost, seems all this harvest mumbo jumbo has fogged my memory a wee bit ! My memory span is maybe 2 minutes and if I have to remember while walking upstairs, it drops to 60 seconds LOL!  Forgot a little element, but I think this will pass!

Here is my unloved, unused desk. Looks about the same as it has a month ago. Still messy. You can see my little Mousie Olympic card there...one of my fave House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge cards I have made! Looks like I have a thing for scissors today too. Time to file stuff away me thinks!

Well off to link up! Thanks for popping in to say Hello. Sorry I wont be able to pop around to desks this week, but wanted to say Hello to all the WOYWW'ers!  Hi Julia!!!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Olympics!

Olympics

Our very own Heather says-Let's Get into the spirit of the 2012 Summer Olympics!!!!

I am sitting here watching the women's gymnastics competition tonight. Such amazing talent! Wowser!

Well, here are Muzzy and Maxwell showing off their gymnastics skills for you today! Aren't they totally cute?

With my silhouette I cut out a telephone "box" (or "booth" here in the US) like you would see in London and added the Olympic rings at the top.  I added some designed vellum behind the paneled door and printed off the word 'telephone' on my computer.

You can do just about anything for this challenge-circles from the Olympic design, use the Olympic colors, make it sports themed...pretty wide open for you all!

Our sponsors this challenge are :

$25 gift card from their store

I hope you will play along with us all for this fun challenge! Don't forget to cheer for you favorite Olympian!

Golf? What Else Is There?

Welcome to my Great Impressions Saturday post!

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Today I am showing off this fun golf sentiment from Great Impressions Stamps. From the very first time I saw this stamp, I knew I had to have it! I have two son-in-laws that are golfing fanatics and I knew this would be a great stamp to use on a "manly"gift for them!  They are playing in a golf tournament together this weekend, so I thought now would be a good time as any to finish these up and give as birthday presents.

I added the golf sentiment to the little golf scene on the boxes I cut out with my silhouette.

Inside are a few candies and some birthday $!

This is what it looks like when starting to close the box

Folding the end point and tucking it into the slit
 Tucked in!

This was a fun birthday present to make up. Another "quick and easy" project. I hope you are not getting tired of these quick and easy projects.I love making them!

Creations by AR July Blog Hop

Welcome to Creations by AR July Blog Hop!

This blog hop will feature the two new July release files-

and

This first creation I made as a gifty to give to my crafty friend Linda. She came to visit during cherry harvest, but since I have to work every day, she bonded with my Silhouette machine instead. I am sure it won't be long before she is whipping up creations like these on her own machine!

The top picture shows off the Folder Organizer all filled up with sets of Christmas cards and in the bottom picture I  took one of the folders out so that you can see what each folder looks like!
Each folder easily holds four A2 card sets-envelopes and all! Adela filled her folders up with embossing folders...I am going to make this file for my embossing folders too-what a cool idea!

Here you can see the banner file that is included in the Folder Organizer template. It was  jiffy to enlarge and use as a card topper. I stamped my friend's last name on the banner to personalize it a wee bit. I can tell you from experience that Adela's files are the easiest templates to use-especially if you tend to be a little techie challenged (not admittin' nothin' here). All of her files include a pictoral step-by-step pdf on how to put the file together, along with measurements if you need to size each piece! I so love that feature!

I made two sets-of course each with a cherry theme-the perfect gift for co-workers during harvest. (yes, I parted with some of my beloved cherry paper)  I made two cards (size approximately 3 x3) with envelopes to put inside the bags. This template includes the envelope file as well! This bag takes about 5 minutes to make-if that! These would be perfect to make in quantity if you wanted to use it for party favors!  I used the Stackables file to stamp my sentiment on...gotta love those-you can make them any size-just right to fit any stamp!

I hope you can take a few minutes to hop along with us today. Although I am the last in line, you really should start with Adela's blog!:

ONE random winner will win their choice of one of the new templates-all you have to do is leave a comment here. (or for more chances, stop by all the blogs and leave a comment)

Good To The Last Drop! Great Impressions

Welcome to my Great Impressions Saturday!
Hello Everyone!  Glad you popped in to say Hello today. I am still working everyday in harvest...another 3 or 4 weeks  they told us today! Yikes...I am so ready for jammie day on Saturday mornings. I like to sleep in on Saturday mornings, and then surf the web in my jammies while eating my oaties! LOL  I guess I have something to look forward to right?

Obviously, my craftin' time is limited these days, but really, it just took a few minutes to cut these coffee cups on my silhouette, added the coffee cup stamp onto the card base and then all the other doo dahs to finish it off!

Although I am not a coffee drinker, I work with 3 wonderful ladies that love their fancy schmancy coffee drinks. I think they will  appreciate these fun Star Bucks coffee gift card holders, all stamped up  with the Coffee Cup Border stamp and the Life is good sentiment.

Double the fun!
I added the Last Drop coordinating sentiment on the inside. It was really too wide for my cup card so I cut it apart. The sentiment stamp does say 'birthday' instead of  'day', but I am making appreciation gifts so I cut the stamped birth day word in half! An easy way to stretch your stamps!

House Mouse and Friends-Let's Get Fruity #123

Welcome to Challenge #123 at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Let's Get Fruity!

You probably all know that I am currently right in the middle of cherry harvest where I work, so of course I would have cherries on my mind!  I fashioned this card from a card I made many, many years ago when I first started stamping House Mouse cards-- 10 years ago!

Before I forget...the winner of my Meece blog candy is-Carol at Our Little Inspirations! Send me an email Carol and I will get your stamp in the mail!

When I first started making cards with the meeces, I only had individual mouse stamps. Back then I would make scenes with the meece. They played with the Peanuts gang and the Penny Black crew...whoever was hanging around at the time! A great way to stretch your stamps.

Now here's a confession...I am a paper hoarder LOL!  When I get paper I LOVE- I hate to use that last piece..... This great black and cherry paper is from SU! several years ago, and this is almost the last tiny piece of it (sniff, sniff). And...the fun plaid ribbon is from my precious retired SU! stash too!

Yep-I cut loose with this one!

Our sponsors for this challenge are:

A $25 gift certificate from Simon Says Stamps
A $10 gift certificate from I Love Sweet Stamps.

I hope you join us for this challenge! There are tons of house mouse stamps out there with fruit, or lots of fruity designer paper, or maybe even fruity sentiments! HA!

I would also like to welcome my new followers-Dawn @ Dawn's Craft Place, Susiestacy @ My Little Sanctuary, Shaz @ *Shaz's Crafty Corner,  Sandra @ A Blessed Life, terriavidreader @ Terri's Tries at Making Cards, Chris @ Retired and Loving It. and welcome again SilPeterson(sorry-I can't find a link to  you -please send me one if you see this.)
