SFYYT April Mother's Day

I had a nice non-stamping weekend---painting garage doors, weeding flower beds, cleaning refrigerators...all that fun type stuff!  I did manage to whip up a few card sets to give as gifties for Mother's Day. I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT April).

Now I am usually skidding in sideways on this monthly challenge, but hey, I don't feel too bad this time because I actually had these done days ago LOL!

I had this pretty paper pad and just did the mix and match thing.  I love My Minds Eye papers, don't you? These papers are from the Everyday Flair 6x6 paper pad.  I got these fun circle sentiments for a  great deal at the Sizzix both at the last convention I went to.  There are 4 different sentiments, so I made 2 sets of cards for the Moms in my life.

Well, this last minute lizzie is off to link up before I miss the deadline! Thanks for stopping in today!

Mothers and Grads Blog Hop---Creations by AR

Welcome to the April Creations by AR Mothers and Grads Blog Hop everyone!

Today we are going to show off this lovely Birdhouse Topiary.
 Isn't it fun?

This template is a little more detailed than the normal template, but the extra few minutes it takes to put it together is so worth it!  It opens in to a little surprise gift box on the bottom stand part! Pretty sneaky! LOL! I used  the new Stackables templates that Adela just came out to layer my sentiment as well.

And look at this fun Grad Cap box!

This Grad Hat box is just the right size for a small gifty like a favorite candy or  a special piece of jewelry or even  a few buckeroonies.  (FYI-the template does not come with the numbers) This box is going to my nephew who is graduating with his law degree next month! I know he is anxious to get on with "real life"!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Hello everyone! Just a quick post tonight...still have some paperwork I need to finish that I brought from work today, so time to get focused.   I had to move a few things around on my desk to hide a couple design team creations I will be posting later tonight. Some super cute projects I made with my silhouette.  You can see some house mouse stamped images, some paper I need to put away and even my embossing gun. When I glue things in the wrong place...I just heat them up and they become "unstuck" in seconds. I am forever gluing things crooked or in the wrong order, so my heat gun is never too far away....actually it usually sets right next to these stackable drawers (see pic below). These are right behind me when I am sitting at my desk.

I have to say this is the BEST organization tip...I am totally happy to have this in place. These drawers are for all my smaller pieces of cardstock. Each drawer has a punched dot on the front of it (or several) for quickly identifying the colors. This has been a major lifesaver/timesaver-no more digging for scraps!  I am still working on the bottom drawers...have not figured out exactly what I am going to keep in them. Right now I have buttons, bling, stamps etc.

If snoopin' is your thing, (and meeting crafters from all over the world) take a jump over to Julia's Stamping Ground and visit What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-Anything Goes

Anything Goes!

Grab a cup of tea this week, sit back and browse all the wonderful creations the House Mouse Team have for you. This is an easy week for you to join in....no excuses!

For my card today, I used some SU! green cardstock to show off this fun in the sun image. I don't know about  you, but I always love the sunflower meece stamps!  I stamped this image twice, cut out part of the sunflower and layered it with dimensionals. This is a big image, so I kept the embellies at a minimum by adding just a punched border with pearls and part of a fleur de lis nestie at the top along with a row of paper piercing.

Our sponsors this week are:
A $25 gift certificate

$10 gift package

Thanks for popping in today!

Fiddlin' with Seasame Street-Elmo, Cookie Monster and Zoe

Yep, I should be weeding the yard or cleaning the kitchen(first warm weekend in 6 months!)...but I found these darling svg files at  ScrappinbyKris and could not get them out of my head. Had to play with my silhoette instead.

I found this awesome blog that shares svg's. Stop in and visit Kris at ScrappinbyKris.

Elmo and Zoe are HERE. Cookie Monster is HERE!

My lil' grandson Lukey turned two a while back and the theme of his party was Sesame Street's Elmo.  The pic of him above shows him ready for his celebration.
Luke thinks if he hides his eyes, Gwamma Sue can't see him!

And look at his other Granny...This is Grandma D (Donna)-she really gets in the spirit. She made this cute gift bag with a pic of Lukey hugging Elmo...Luke has some crafty grannies-what a lucky boy!

And look at Zoe...so cute.

Cooooookiesssssssss!

Well I am off to have some "breffus" and go do "sumthun"!

Monday I have a cute House Mouse coming your way, Tuesday is WOYWW and Wednesday I have a blog hop from Creations by AR...

I also forgot that I am entering this in Crazy 4 Challenges, which is to add a POP of black to your creation...a perfect fit for sure!

Hope to see you soon!

                                       What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

                                                   Happy 50th Birthday  Sweetie!!!

Today is my Sweetie's 50th! Of course that means a cute card and a yummy cake!

The card is made with  an Art Impressions stamp called The Lawn Ranger! Very appropriate...my Sweetie likes to mow the lawn and always "teases" me that he really wants a riding lawn mower for his birthday....ahem-not happening LOL! This card is the closest he is getting to a riding mower :)!
Oh my..I just noticed I forgot to color the hubcaps...imagine them yellow Okay?

And this is what was on my "workdesk" today...a German Chocolate cake--by special request from the birthday boy!

Okayyyy...here is a pic of my crafty desk taken a few minutes ago...not much change over the last few weeks...just a lot of pens to put away after coloring up a few images.

Well I am off to bed for the night...but if you want to see what all this WOYW?W biz is all about---hop on over and visit Julia at the Stamping Ground.

WOYW?W 149- a Stampin Up night

Another What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!  Hello everyone! I did not make it around last week, but I promise to be better this week!  Julia's Stamping Ground this week is full of sticky stuff so be sure to stop by and see what she is up to, along with about 200 others!
I see this is my 89th WOYWW post out of 149! Yes, I must admit I am addicted to this crafty family of Julia's! Such a great bunch of crafters!

A Reminder...some days are simply meant for playing!

(That is the saying framed  on this desk)

Having just returned from Arizona, I have not had a chance to be crafty yet, so my main desk looks exactly the same as last week. I thought I would show you the top of a little desk off to the right side of me. This desk used to be my cutting station, but I moved the cutter right directly behind me and set up my computer in it's place( I hardly ever use this computer, but it is there in case I need it).....and.... I like to display my cards that people send me, so you will always see my work areas full of other's creations! They remind me why I love to stamp so much!

I love old glassware, so you see one of my fave little green depression dishes with some salt shakers on it. I always intended to fill them with glitter but I just never finished that project I guess! LOL.  I am verrrrry  dangerous with glitter, so rethinking the original plan. LOL

Last night was our monthly Stampin Up group meeting. Here are some projects designed by our leader Charla and the hostess girls for the night Nancy and Virginia. Fun creations huh?  A birthday card, a recipe holder and a little sticky note holder.  Always a fun night of creating and visiting! Sorry, too tired to look up the stamp set names tonight.

Welcome to all my new followers too! Tickled to have you follow my little blog!

Well, off to bed! Thanks for stopping by!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge-So Sweet

So Sweet!

Welcome to another Monday Challenge of the Meeces! Jennifer has chosen our challenge this time -- SO SWEET!  This includes anything that has chocolate, candy or your favorite sweet in the design.

*****

I just got back from a wonderfully warm vacation-I was so sad to leave the sunshine of Arizona behind, but nice to spend Easter dinner with my family!

So...ask me why I made a Christmas card??? Ha! Well...part of my vacation included "several" trips to Hobby Lobby! Boy, I love that store! And best of all, the meece stamps were on sale. This sweet stamp jumped in my cart (along with some others). This was a little tricky to color up (no  definitely lines for the candy cane!)  but I think it turned out SWEET!

I even used a sketch from The Sweet Stop. You can join their 3rd anniversary sketch challenge HERE.  I chose sketch #81.

Our sponsors this challenge are Simon Says Stamps-A wonderful $25 gift certificate.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #148

Surprise!!!!  Yes, I am on vacation right now (hopefully enjoying the wonderful sunshine of Arizona) but I am pre-scheduling this post...I just had to show this sweet Mo Manning/Michelle Perkett  card I made.

****************
My poor desk left in transition.......... I had every intention of finishing up these Bugaboo Easter cards I started, but as the day before my trip progressed, I just did not get back upstairs to my crafty room. Guess they will be on hold for another year maybe.............

******

If you have been following my WOYW?Wednesday posts, you will have seen this sweet little boy image and these darling heart flowers hanging around my desk for ages...Really! I colored  Mo's  little boy Ben probably 2 years ago, and the heart flowers were a freebie from Michelle Perkett's site back in January I think. She has a freebie every Tuesday...great stuff! Neither got made into a card until just a few days ago...they landed together on my desk and I thought "Why not?" It's almost like they were meant for each other, don't you think?

The little boy so reminds me of my little grandson's, Cole and Lukey. I originally made this with Cole in mind...but having it sit around so long, it now really looks like little Lukey!

I used my Martha grass punch and some fun Bo Bunny double sided polka dot  ribbon I have been hoarding forever. I guess it is time to use it up!

I will be home this weekend and will check in with you all then! See you soon!
