Crazy Talk sentiment

Tis the winter season of flu, covid and colds!  I have been sick with a bug too-- but I hope to be on the mend soon! I know so many people who have been under the weather as well! These meece will certainly make anyone feel better! 

I used the Masked Mice stamp set and embossed a sentiment from Tim Holtz Crazy Talk. The embossing folder is a pretty snowflake 6x6 folder. Sorry I can't remember who makes it. The meece were cut out with my Scan N Cut and added to the card with pop dots.

My something new is the stamp set as well as the cut file! 

I cut this fun background base card with my Silhouette and added a sponged sky piece to the back. I colored my Snow People and cut them out with my Scan N Cut. I added them to the front scene with pop dots and stamped a simple sentiment from the stamp set. I think it made for the cutest little winter scene! This set would be easy to make as a winter or a holiday creation-love the double duty!

For my inspiration cards today I am showing you the lovely sympathy cards I have been making. These beautiful designs are perfect for sympathy cards or calm beautiful winter  designs. I live in the country and always have deer walking past my window almost every day. They are such graceful animals! 

The pop dot cards are fast and easy. I used the slim pop up dimensional strips to make these fast and easy. Add each layer either in to the corner of your Misti or Scrap Pal each time and the layers will line up perfectly.

I cut my card base with my Silhouette and used a cute snowglobe cut file as the base. The domed opening caught me eye and was perfect for my little snowy scene. I made the card in several layers so it would have dimension. I used new to me stamps ( A by product of midnight shopping LOL). One thing I like to do on my cards is darken the eyes. I forgot to do that before I took this pic, but I will do it now before I send it out! It makes a big difference-the little touches.

We have a bunch of slushy snow where I live right now-- 6 inches and maybe a bit more tonight...guess we will see in the morning! I love looking out at Mt. Hood and watching the snow fall.

Lori Whitlock December Tutorial

Hello there! My tutorial today is not on construction of a file but is more about time savings! We are all busy this time of year so I am going to show you how I whip up a few cute Lori Whitlock gift tags in minutes!

I chose a set of tags that were same style, different design. That's not necessary but makes for fast tracking your project if your time is limited and you want to add a special touch to your gifts. I double all the pieces to make 2 sets of tags.

Lori Whitlock December Blog Hop

I made this cute Christmas Matchbox Bundle for the December blog hop. I'm trying to finish some projects so that I can use them for Christmas! These will be perfect for gift cards! They are just so cute! I added a few snowflakes and holly leaves to make them holiday ready! Those little holly is not included in the files, but they are included in many of Lori's other files. The snowflakes are just little doo dahs.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!
