Penny Black Saturday Challenge January 2023 Something New

January 2023 Challenge

Anything Goes

or the optional theme-

Something New

Well hello there. It's been a long time since I have stamped. Happy to have a PB challenge to get me motivated again.

Currently I have family with some serious health issues that has kept me from stamping, but it really is a nice distraction from the stress.

I think I am a bit rusty...lol. I had a whole different card design in my head but with my poor embossed sentiment on the snowflake panel...I had to pivot in a different direction. In order to save the pretty embossed snowflake panel, I colored this fun little Penny Black bear image and added him over the messed up sentiment. There...that's how it's rolling right now...geeze!

Both these stamps are NEW to my Penny Black collection. The snowflakes stamped so pretty and delicate and embossed perfectly!

Oh, Sue, I know you are experiencing some challenges and I'm sorry. However, I will say you have given me such a big happy smile with this card. Any foible along the way led to this most wonderful card. This big guy is darling! Look how portly he is! Love the blue background and your amazing coloring. The snowflakes are incredibly detailed and perfect. I also LOVE the sentiment. Thanks. I needed this.

Well, I too have "saved" a background by covering it with an image. Your save looks fabulous and I just adore the expression on his face. All the best to those struggling with health!

Oh, as soon as I saw this I loved where you placed the bear. It was a happy coincidence that you had that sentiment to hide! Lovely card xxx
