Lori Whitlock July Blog Hop

Maxine turn's one!!!

I made this darling Hidden Binding Tag Mini Album to show you!  It's a bit of continuation from the birthday card I made for my grand-niece's 1st birthday. I used the same strawberry themed collection from the Lori Whitlock Strawberry Fields Collection.

Love that all the elements of this collection made it so easy to decorate this mini album! The hidden binding process is very easy. I made the flower mini album last week with a friend and we had the best time! I had to make another one.

Back page, spine and front page

I used the following Products:

Cut File: Hidden Binding Mini Album-Tag (SVG, Silhouette)

Penny Black Saturday Challenge A/G or On the Move

 Penny Black Saturday Challenge

July Challenge

Anything Goes

or the optional theme-

On the Move

I have been gone for a bit! I had a family emergency and have not been near my stamps for weeks. I did manage to make this darling card for my Grandniece who will be turning one this weekend. She's a cute little blondie with the rosiest cheeks! Happy Birthday Maxine!

This stamp worked perfectly-and even better it is on sale on the Penny Black website right now for $5.95! What a deal.  I sure do love Mo Manning designs! She's a perfect pairing with the new Lori Whitlock Strawberry Collection!

I cut out the little girl with my Scan n Cut and colored with copics. I added her onto the stenciled background with pop dots, added a sweet little butterfly and the #1- which I cut with my Silhouette. I added the pink stenciled background on to the blue background with pop dots as well and tucked in a tiny Snippet sentiment. Lots of dimension!

I used the following products:

Sweet Day-Penny Black
Snippets-Penny Black

Lori Whitlock Happy Birthday Card Tutorial.

Welcome to Lori Whitlock's Thursday tutorial!

5x7 Happy Birthday Card (SVG, Silhouette)

This card is also included in Lori's  Birthday Bash Bundle.

This wonderful card caught my attention the very first time I saw it! I loved the colors and thought the design was outstanding!

I cut out this design, leaving the tiny cut out pieces on my sticky mat. I couldn't just throw away all the fun cut out pieces so I made a second card out of the "scraps". All I had to do was cut double  balloons and added a few extra leaves and flowers and cut two white card bases. I always cut multiples of little pieces anyway-I somehow manage to drop a few! It was tedious with all those little pieces, but I was sitting watching my latest Netflix obsession so I was doing double duty!

This is the back side of the card top . Most of the colors are glued onto the backside.

You have to set the top piece on top of the center piece and glue the dark letter center pieces on.

All three layers are ready to glue together and the card is complete!

This is the second card I made with the leftover bits and pieces.

Here is the sentiment that I saved with the accent paper pieces glued on. I set them aside for card #2. You have to make the white card first because you need the top piece for placing each letter.

I saved all the little do-dahs and glued them on to the white card base, using the dark piece as the guide for placement.  I added all the dots and balloons, flowers etc with my pick-me-up tool as well as my paper piercer and little mat scraper. I love getting double duty from one cut file!

I hope you enjoyed these cute cards.

HMFMC #459 ATG or Use Patterned Paper

with the option theme of

Patterned Paper

Hosted by our Talented Teamie - Sue Kment

For my card today I dusted off some oldies but goodies!

I am currently moving my craft room so I am going down memory lane with all my first stamps! The little meece stamp Monica on the front is my very first House Mouse stamp! (Party Mouse Monica ) 1999.  I think I bought it in 2001.  It just goes to show you how classic and timeless house mouse stamps are! Just as cute as ever!

I cut a fun card base with my Silhouette (A2 Tabbed Card with Sleeve by Lori Whitlock). I added an extra matting at .050 for those that make cards with a Silhouette. I also used some very colorful retired Bo Bunny cardstock(Surprise)-love me some bright primary colors! I also added a few random balloons and drew in the strings with a multiliner.

The sentiment is a very old Penny Black woodmount stamp(Micey Birthday 2000).

Can you tell that I have loved the meecies for many, many years?

The stamp is Tossing Confetti (HMCP93) from Stampendous.

so join the fun!  Please use  a House-MouseDesigns(R)

Bio.
I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!
