Penny Black Saturday Challenge--Nature/Trees

***May***

Nature/Trees

I know you are all asking where are the trees??? Wellll...this group of fun lovin' nature trekkers are heading off for a nice hike to the forest...so you can't quite see the trees yet-but you can surely tell they are on a nature walk and heading that way!

I used some new toys on this card...including the Penny Black stamp...I have a thing for little ducklings too, so I had to have it! I also used my new Taylored Expressions Rolling Clouds dies and sequins and Lawn Fawn Scripty words stamp.  I love the way the sequins catch the sun-they add a lovely iridescent touch to the stitched clouds. (links below)

My 14 Carrot Friend

For My 14 Carrot Friend

I have been itching to use my Easter stamps and Doodlebug pretty papers with my new dies!  For this card I used an Inky Antics stamp, and my brand new Taylored Expressions Build A Scene-Rolling Clouds die set  along with the  Lawn Fawn Hillside Die and a few Silhouette cut files!  A little bit of everything here!!!

Love these new rolling cloud dies...already have another project in mind for them...coming soon!

And yes, there are 14 carrots on this card (and no Cely-no carrots were lost in the making of this card LOL).  Do you ever lose little pieces when you are making a card?  I do all the time and it just drives me crazy. I usually find them stuck to my elbow or the bottom of my trimmer-days later...good grief!!!

You still  have a few days to join our March Spring Blooms Challenge! Now my card does not have actual flower blooms but by golly those carrot tops are definitely springish and the greenery "sort of"  flowery don't you think?

I was tickled that this card came together very quickly (for me)...usually I fiddle forever! I am going to enter this in the following challenges;;

Thanks for stopping in today!

A Special Treat from the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny will be here soon!

Life has gotten busy these last few weeks, so not much crafting time for me lately.  I have managed to fire up my Silhouette this week to make these little bunnies! Aren't they just the cutest?  I knew when I saw this file in the Silhouette store that it would be a perfect fit for this fun Taylored Expressions paper pad and sequins.

The pre-made gable box is something I bought "before" my Silhouette days. I still have a few left, but now I can make them  any size I want with my machine !  The sentiment is from the Jaded Blossoms stamp set named Easter Treats 2. I added a few eggies and and some grass cut with my Lawn Fawn grass die to finish it off!

Well back to working on taxes and unfun things-it was a nice break while it lasted!

Spring Flowers-Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Welcome to Penny Black Saturday Challenge!

We would love for you to join our March challenge:

Spring Blooms

Our Wonderful Sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize winner gets a $20 voucher!

Hello!!!  I bet you are all waiting for spring, aren't you? It seems there is snow everywhere  but on the west coast of the US where I live. We are suppose to have 70 degree weather this weekend...I have never seen this before!!! We are usually buried under tons of snow during February and March.   I have to say I am so enjoying the sun!

I made this project to get you into the Spring Flowers mode-keep hope that the sun will visit you soon too!

I used a new cut file from the Silhouette store for the box with the attached easel card. (see link below)  I added the bright and cheerful Taylored Expressions designer papers to accent with that rainbow touch!  I attached the oval with the bunny onto the front of the easel card, along with the sentiment and sequins. I made 3 little cards (3x4)  to add to the inside drawer.

The easel folds flat to the top of the box

Inside the box I made three little 3x4 cards-adding super cute little critters from several different Penny Black stamp sets (see below for a listing)

Goody Goody Gumballs!

Sometimes a  project can be so simple and oh so cute!

I love it when I can make fun little treat goodies that are quick and easy to make. What kid would not love a jar full of gumballs? ( I must say I may have been forced to chew a couple of the extra gumballs while making these projects!)

All it takes is 3 little pieces to make a shaker!

These were all cut out with the coordinating die that came with the stamp set. The stamp set also has several perfectly matched sentiments with it. If you have never opened a Taylored Expressions stamp set...you are in for  a real treat. I LOVE how her stamps stick right to the enclosed packaging for storage!

I colored the front image and also stamped the sentiment on the back piece. I added  2 layers of SU!  pop dots  so that there was room for the Taylored Expressions sequins to shake around. (one layer of pop dots just does not work for me)  I then added the sequins and put the back piece on.

I am in love with these sequins from Taylored Expressions...I guarantee you will see more of them (ahem...maybe even tomorrow!)

The tag is tied on with some twine so it can be flipped over to read the message on the back-don't forget to sign it!

Does Running Late Burn Calories?

Does Running Late Count As Exercise?
If so, I burned a lot of calories for your birthday this year!

Hello My Craftin' Friends!  Today I am posting a fun little card using my new Taylored Expressions Running Late stamp set. Everyone that knows me well, knows I am always behind, so this is a great set for me to have in my stash! I am sure it will get used many times LOL!

I colored the image and cut it out with a square nestie. I then added it on to a Sizzix Pop n Cut card base, adding in the sentiment above the image in a partial circle I cut with my Silhouette. I also cut some streamers and a fun little banner with my machine.

For the outside I cut a simple Happy Birthday sentiment with my Silhouette and glued it on. Simple outside, fun and bright on the inside.

I got most of these supplies at Inspiration Emporium.(You can get a 10% discount if you use the code suestamps13)

Thanks for stopping in today-I do hope you are enjoying a nice sunny, spring day-it is about time!

I Love My Dachshund! Taylored Expressions Marley

I love dachshunds!

My Mom has a little dachshund named Abby and boy is she a cutie. I think she will like this card, don't you? I made the dog house real "girlie" with pink hearts and diamonds! A girls  dogs best friend right?

Today, I am using a new Taylored Expressions "Marley" stamp set with coordinating die, now in the Inspiration Emporium Store. I love how these stamp sets come packaged...red rubber on cling and attached to their own illustrated plastic card. Boy I wish all my stamps came packaged this way!

I used a little dog house file from the Silhouette Store(cut double to make it a standing card)-and using black paper for the base and  Lawn Fawn Let's Polka 6x6 papers to pretty up the front. I punched the cute little tulip row with a Martha border punch, added a couple strips of 'diamonds' on the roof and then attached 'Abby aka Marley' with pop dots, as well as popping up the sentiment.

Now I have to give my real doggie back his treaties that I used as props! He was keeping an eye on me the whole time I was taking these pictures...waiting for me to drop him a few....sneaky little fella!

Looking forward to getting some projects all finished up this weekend! Hope you have big plans too!
