The new release Spellbinders stamps have landed! You can find them here at Spellbinders, Simon Says Stamps or House Mouse Designs on top of other stores. 

I love the new release stamps.  They don't quite fit in to the the winter challenge theme this time so I went full on Valentines Day!

I used a couple fun Lori Whitlock Silhouette cut files along with the new stamp. They were a perfect combo.

I made the card base and cut a white piece to stamp on by using the trace inset feature. I added a heat embossed sentiment included in the stamp set.

I am a bit late with my Penny Black Saturday Challenge, but better late than never!  This is one of my favorite new Penny Black releases. Cute Critters are my thing! 

I wanted to make a pretty snow scene for my critters.  I used the beautiful Ski Lodge embossing folder from Spellbinders for my background. I added a few misc tree die cuts and a Lawn Fawn die slimline stitched hillside border to complete my winter wonderland.

Love this cute little snow scene! That little mouse hanging on for dear life is too funny!

I colored with copics and used Lawn Fawn rectangle and lacy rectangle dies. I used the Simon Says snow stencil with Lawn Fawn white stencil paste. It's a bit hard to see the snow in this picture, but it adds a nice texture to the card.  I embossed one of the sentiments that is included in the stamp set. The other sentiment is Have an "ice" Holiday Season.

This little hedgie is a new to me stamp, but I believe it has been around since 2010. I wish Penny Black would release new hedgie images. I sure miss them! I guess I have to treasure the stamps I do have!

I used a Silhouette cut file for my snowflake card base. I used the snowflake stitch die to fit inside the base, adding a dark blue accent behind the die so it shows through in the cut out dots around the border of the die. From there I colored with copics and added a few more white Trinity snowflakes. Pretty simple indeed!

The Z fold card folds in a Z or will fold over like doors as well. Super cute design and perfect with the snowflake theme.

Lori Whitlock 2026 Calendar Tutorial

 It's my turn for a tutorial over on the Lori Whitlock Blog today.

Pattern Fill Set Summer Splash

3 Valentine Gnomes (Silhouette)

Pictured above are the pieces I used for this project. 

3 pieces for the calendar holder cut file, some Lori Whitlock pattern fill paper  and some paper inserts (3x3.25 inches) I made for the holder since I didn't have a sticky notepad. I cut the pieces and stamped some inspirational sentiments on each sheet. You will get 12 full sheets and 4 partial pieces that still work! I cut 2 sets of these.

Opening the calendar  in Silhouette it imports to cut all the print, so you have to highlight and choose cut edge to cut them out properly. You also have to enlarge the print and cut length just a wee bit to allow for cutting all the calendar pages. I used regular printer paper for this part. 

This is what it looks like in the Silhouette software when set  to cut edge. Stack and staple them together after cutting them out.

I added the stamped inserts and the little peeking gnome on the back for a bit of fun and I was all done!

Spellbinders Noel RSC-013

I colored this darling stamp in triplicate and then finished each one of them off a bit differently. 

The holly leaf frame on the top card was cut with my Silhouette and the other two cards I used Spellbinders dies.

I added glittery ground snow and used a white gel pen to add the snowy sky. The last one has part of a Simon Says sentiment strip.

For the holidays we are having a month long challenge, so you have plenty of time to join in!

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!
