Paper Smooches Falling For You

Back to School Time!

Having two daughters that are school teachers, naturally our conversations have centered around classrooms,  new students and getting up early tomorrow for their first day! My goodness- they work so hard...just to get ready for that first day of school-and the rest of the year!  I decided to make a set of these appreciation cards because I have a lot of teachers to send them to. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for their 200th Celebration..

For today's cards I used my new Paper Smooches stamp set named Falling For You that I got from Inspiration Emporium. (this set also includes fall images as well as Halloween, so it is very versatile) I used a sentiment from a retired Clear and Simple stamp sentiment set about teachers...a classic!  The paper is DCWV Grade School Stack with glitter and foil. Love that stuff!!!  I finished each one off a little differently and added a fun little charm from Inspiration Emporium as well.

You can see these little charms that say Imagine and Inspire.

I stamped the apple on red dot paper and then restamped the white core part and cut it out and added it on top of the first apple.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards today!

WOYWW? I have 4 hours left FTL122

Well I have 4 more hours left of Wednesday so I thought I would show the crafters over at Julia's Stamping Ground-What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #84 what I had just finished...A got a little stamping time this week so I actually got to ink some "stuff" up.

I made this card using the Clean and Simple FTL 122 sketch above. It is just okay (I think..kinda...sorta). Not my fave card and sort of a weird pic of it, but oh welllllllllll.....  I used some pretty Bo Bunny DP and some Thickers chipboard birds covered with some SU! cardstock. The fancy border is the  Martha Cornice border punch. The sentiment is a retired SU! set. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the black card itself.

And this is my workdesk after I finished stamping...need to pick up me thinks...........if you look real hard, you might spy a future project or two as well...hmmmmmmmm

Yes, I am still around my stamper friends...just not too motivated at the moment. I did see this easy sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping blog FTL108.  I thought I could probably handle this sketch today...although I tell you , it was hard not to add some ribbon and spiders and fun Halloween embellies! I did not want those CAS stampers to kick me out though LOL!

Here is the sketch:

Pretty easy and again, lovin using my pinked nesties again!  Thanks for stopping in! Hope to have more stamping time this week, so stop back later!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A messy desk today for this week's WOYWW...finished the card below for Allison and Sue's challenge EONAC18, Everything Old Is New Again. The challenge is to use your punches and with a twist...use the CAS sketch challenge below. Well,  I love my punches...and I love CAS cards! Didn't take long to whip this up once I figured out which punch I wanted to use...and oh! my new DP by My Minds Eye (Mary, Mary quite contrary) is just yummy! All the big hearts are all up on dimensionals. I used the three heart punch from SU! and SU! rose ribbon. The sentiment at the bottom is embossed with a cuttlebug strip that says ...with love..(.And yes, Carol...my Lindt truffles are still staring me in the face)

You can also see part of the last mini album I have finally completed....a little baby album that has some little cricut embellishments. I will post that this week too.

WOYW?W and FTL87

He we go with another What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!  If you get a chance, go check out Julia's fun challenge and meet a fun bunch of girls.
This is how I left my desk before I hurried off to see my grandbabies this week. You can see the sentiment stamps I used on the cards below, the card from the post before and the fun polka dot paper I used on the card I am going to post tomorrow. (a sweet baby girl card). You can see my antique store rummaging as well. Some embroidery floss for a real steal (10 cents each) and a couple really cool old thread spools. Not sure what I am going to do with these but thinking of a cool wall hanging maybe for Christmas. Any idea's?
And oh...my jelly bean jar is almost empty...only two left!

This is my punch storage...or should I say part of my punches! I have a "thing" for punches. I have a dresser below these shelves that holds all my Stampin Up! and misc punches.  I think my ribbon is going to get bumped from this shelf to make room for the rest of my EK and Martha  punches. Now to figure out what to do with the ribbon...I have a whole closet of messy ribbon that I need to do something with. I have outgrown every solution I come up with.

These cards were made using the sketch challenge from the Clean and Simple Stamping FTL 87.
This challenge is harder for me than most, but the first thing I thought of was this Apple sentiment and then the fruity set just sort of happened. I used the Tart and Tangy stamp set from Stampin Up and some wide satin red ribbon from Michaels.  I used SU! markers to color the images and sentiment in red, old olive and choc chip. The apple and berry sentiments are made to go with House Mouse stamps and are made by Stampabilities and the cherry sentiment is a Hampton Art Stamp.

I have made so many new friends through WOYW?W...and one of my new friends (I sort of "encouraged" her to join in) is featuring me on her blog today as well. Stop in and say Hello to Bleubeard and Elizabeth.

Tomorrow I will be posting a super cute Eline Pellinkhof baby girl card, so hope you can stop back and see it. I might even sneak in a few tiny pics of my grandbabies too...
