House Mouse and Friends Challenge #67-a recipe
The challenge this week over at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is a recipe= 1 ribbon, 2 papers and 3 flowers.
I don't have a problem with the 1 ribbon or the 2 papers...but 3 flowers...YIKES! As you can tell by my creations, I am not a big flower person...as in prima's etc. I do find myself lovin' all these paper punch flowers that have recently become popular...so maybe there is hope for me yet!
I have had this stamp for many moons, but kept putting off using it because it is so detailed...I tell ya though...coloring these detailed images with copics is such a breeze. Took me back to the days of sitting on the floor with a bucket of crayons and a color book...I was a coloring fool as a little girl!
This is a perfect stamp for spring time! These little meeces are getting their flower beds all ready and looking pretty...but hey, who is that culprit over in the corner eating all the pretties?
This is a large stamp, so the card measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. The ribbon is some pretty white from Stampin' UP that I colored with V17 copic so it would match the flowers in the image as well. The sentiment (SU!) is punched with the window word punch and then mounted on 2 other punched purple cardstock pieces mounted on dimensionals, an easy way to set off the sentiment.
Now for my flower dilemma...I decided to punch out flowers out of a second stamped image, color them up and use the spotlight technique to show them off by mounting them on dimensionals. There...my 3 flowers!
I added a few purple crystals here and there and some scallop borders as well. I am entering this card for the House Mouse and Friends design team challenge.
Card details:
---------------------------------------
Stamps: Mice Garden (Maxwell, Amanda, Friend) HMOR1095, Sentiment by Stampin Up Sweet Little Sentiments
Cardstock: Perfect Plum (SU!), green is a textured paper from Bo Bunny, black and white gingham is a background basics by makingmemories
Ink: Memento black, copics
Misc: White ribbon from SU!, EK Success large scallop border punch, window word punch, 3/4 and 7/8 circle punches, dimensionals, kaiser crystals.

ReplyDeleteHI Sue, Love your card! The image is so sweet and you are so creative with your solution for the flowers. We could be sisters, I don't care much about the prisma's either. I do love all my punches and I do have a couple of different ones. Your colouring is fabulous and I love the design of your card. It can be so hard to make a nice layout with those big stamps. Have a great sunday!
