Eyes of Newt- Treat holder #21 Silhouette Challenges #30

Halloween Treat Holder #21

Fire Up your machine and let's see what you have to share!!!

Challenge Info. #30 "Anything Goes"
Starts: October 1
Ends: October 31

I made this fun project because I have family with the last name of Newton...it was all I could do not to add on a little O and N to the end of Newt! LOL

Do you know what Eye of Newt is?  I didn't either, so I went looking for an explanation. Did you know this phrase is from the Shakespeare play-MACBETH, which was written in 1606!!! Who would have thought!  You can read about the history HERE.

This is a box designed by Lori Whitlock--- 3D Halloween Eyes of Newt Canister #33328 and is BIG by my little treat box standards :). It is 5 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. It went together quite easily and very quickly!  I found some fun eyeball chocolates and even some eyeball bubble blowers-good grief a person like me can get carried away! Got to love the Dollar Store!

I used black Michael's card stock(my favorite for cutting on my Silhouette) and some pretty silver Michael's paper too. I added a touch of whisper white craft ink around the edges to finish it off.

I do hope you will linkup to our Silhouette Challenge Blog for October. Hop over and take in some great inspiration-even if you are not a Silhouette crafter!!!

Copied from the Day 1 Project Post:

I LOVE making fun little treat holders for the different holidays coming up. I give them to friends, family and co-workers. Most of them end up in the garbage, but a few people have kept every.single. treat holder I have given them over the years. It is fun to see them lined up in their offices!  I decided this year to try NOT to  make 30-35 of the same project, but to try to make a variety of little Halloween or Fall themed projects! Lucky for you-you can follow my "treat box" journey for 2015!
