Penny Black Saturday Challenge

I decided to try the brushstroke stamps again. Jill Foster from Penny Black makes that technique look so easy!
I made my first try and all the colors were running all over-too much misting! If you could see the other side of this panel-you would laugh! FYI-It only takes a teeny tiny spritz of water.
I flipped the Bristol smooth watercolor paper over and gave it another try. I used Tombow pens #126 (a light green),#723 (pink) and just a bit of #993 (dk yellow) and misted with a little SU! mister. The little mister was really nice with a very fine mist, but this operator got carried away the first go round!
After I finished stamping, I cut it out with a sweet Penny Black square die and added a pink panel behind the die cut so the pink would show through the dots around the edging. I added the panel on to the card base with foam tape. Viola!

I'm sure I would make a mess of this so I applaud you for trying and actually coming up with something this lovely. I have one of their brushstroke stamps waiting in the wings, but dragging my feet... I'll get around to it soonish, I hope. Gosh, this is pretty, Sue!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Sue! So pretty! Enjoy your weekend! :)
