I'm coming in sideways and just a bit late for the challenge post, but here I am!
I had this card in mind, but I really struggled with the watercoloring of the cabin. I used Tombow markers for my color medium. I just don't have the knack of direct coloring on stamps down yet. I keep on trying because it is such a pretty effect. My poor cabin looks like it's about to fall down LOL.
I colored directly on the stamp and added a bit of misting before stamping on my watercolor paper. It looked too mushy for my liking so I did some coloring right on the trees and cabin to sharpen it up a bit. Maybe I got carried away because then it looked too sharp-so I went over with a wet brush again. Goodness.... Practice, Practice, Practice. I do love the pretty sentiment!

ReplyDeleteSue, it was fun to read your post. Oh, the trials and tribulations of stamping. I think your cabin looks comfortably rustic, and I really really love the sentiment.
