Don't you love this Lil' Bee? I have been in love with him forever! Something about that sweet little face just drew me in! This is a dollar file from My Scrap Chick. What a deal! And...You should probably pop over and see the new Buffet Bundle Special and the new Easel Cards too! I can't wait to give them a try myself!
Here you can see that I added double pop dots on his wings so he could fly away to his special sweetums!
How I made this card
I used digi paper(freebie from Shery K Designs --Ladybug) for the red polka dot base and sized it to 4.75 x 4.75 on a 5 inch base. I grouped all the cut file pieces together because I originally thought I would make Lil Bee a print and cut. Then....I decided I loved the pieced look for this card. I made an offset of the grouped file and then subtracted the offset outline from the red polka dot digi paper-leaving the white space to add my Lil' Bee. I did trace the antennae from the pdf included in the file and filled it in with black and added it to the base before I printed it. It was just too tiny to cut. You can see above how it looked after I added the wings. I then added the completed pieced Lil' Bee and sentiment from a Paper Smooches stamp set (Bee Mine) and it was all done!
Well that's it for today-Hope you enjoyed this Lil' cutie card-I certainly did!

Absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love bumblebees and this one is so darn cute! I don't have an electronic cutter, but I just had to go look at the site. I think they have the cutest of all cut files. I know they can be printed as PDFs, too, but a Silhouette or something like it is the way to go. You make them irresistible, Sue!
ReplyDeleteI too, love little bees until they sting me. Thanks for all the steps. Truly adorable. What you ended up with was awesome. I love the exrta depth and the extra little details.
