Apron Box

I have been making a few projects with my Silhouette the last week or two...yes- in hopes that I am finally getting fired up to craft!

Next week is my Boss's birthday and our office group decided to get her a gift certificate for cooking classes. NOW-this is not to say she is a horrible cook, what we are saying is that it will be a fun DATE NIGHT with her hubby! Let's hope she takes it that way too!

I made this Apron Box last week  so we could add in a few little cooking supplies and the gift card for their class inside. Our company makes cherry products of all sorts...maraschino's, glace, dried, syrup, cherries for yogurt, ice cream etc...you get the picture right? Always nice to have the perfect paper for your project.

I used some gorgeous dark red Bazzil paper for the base and some cherry print paper I have been hoarding for ages.(Farmhouse Paper Company-Country Kitchen Secret Recipe).

The sentiment is from a much loved stamp set-Penny Black Snippets. I like those tiny sentiment stamps. This time I cut the stamp in half to fit on the oven mit.

So there you go...fast and fun today!

Sue

I don't always have time to link to challenges, but today I am watching a game, so I am multi-tasking!

  7. This is fabulous. I've already gone and put in my cart at Silhouette. I just bought a new cutter...yup and I received the $25 gift certificate to the store. My hubby promised me he would take cooking classes with me at a fun place downtown. Nope, it's been a year and he hasn't. But, we were given a Blue Apron package from a neighbor who was leaving town and couldn't use it, so I gave it to me husband and told him to have at it...(with a little over the shoulder from me). He had fun but said chopping was a lot of work and time consuming....yup...most of the prep work is the most time consuming...haha anyway, he appreciates all my cooking even more and is a great sou chef but I'm still making him make one meal a week and hamburgers on the grill doesn't count!

  23. Hi, Sue! Your goodie/gift bag is the perfect way of giving a cook (or anyone, for that matter) a cute gift or baked good! Love all your finishing touches, and the darling, bright, cheerful colors! Yummy cherries, and a delightful hot-mit to say "Happy Birthday with Love"! It's a wonderful, and delightful project! I also like that there is an option for a gift card in the front pocket! Genius!

  35. This is brilliant Sue! I don't know where I have been but to say this has been Hurricane Matthew for the last good week. My daughter in North Carolina still does not have power. We got lucky here on our little barrier island. No major damage at our home and we lost power for less than 24 hours. We only live a block from the ocean - amazing!
