Creations by AR New Release-Lantern

Today I am showing you the new Enchanted Lantern template!  Isn't this fun?

I chose to go a little bit different direction with this Enchanted Lantern template...First I wanted to do a wedding lantern with pretty shiny white papers and lots of lovely flowers-but what happened? hehe  I think these turned out so, so cute and I am sure my grandsons will love them! Now knowing my little boys, they probably won't last very long (who gives them 30 minutes? LOL)

Now of course, a bug catcher has to have bugs and grass right?  I cut out a piece of grass with my Silhouette and tucked it into the base.  The darling little bugs are from an Inky Antics stamp set named Hanging Out Buggies Clear Set from Inspiration Emporium.

I lined the inside of the body piece (the polka dot part) with  large netting while it was still flat (cost about 20 cents at the fabric store) and then put it together. I did put the body in upside down(according to the instructions) so that the flap would be on top-to keep all the little buggies contained! The inside bottom will have real grass when the boys add a few  little lady bugs here and there.

I also used twine for the handle instead of wire.

Can you seeing the netting here?
Here you can see the polka dot body-actually put in the base upside down so that I could use the flap to close it and keep the little bugs in!
