How in the heck do you store your ribbon? Right now I have this dresser drawer full of spools of ribbon. Most of this is Michaels and fairly cheapo...I keep my good stuff closer to my desk and in full view so I can use it for inspiration! If you get a few minutes today, take a hop over to Julia's and see what everyone else has to share!
My desk looks the same ole, same ole tonight so I thought I would show you my ribbon drawer and this darling card I made for my Sue Berker #3 Challenge. Sue B rounded up some of her stamping cyber friends for a friendly little challenge. There are 4 of us and we each take a turn once a month sending the others in the group the makings of a card (image, paper ribbon etc) . It is very fun to see what we all come up with. It is amazing to see what everyone creates with the same stuff!
This month it was my turn to send out the goodies...and here is my card! Taaa DAHHHH!
I think you know by now how much I love Eline Pellinkhof images. I sent this image to the group as well as some fun My Minds Eye DP , ribbon, twine and a little heart charm.
Even though this image is a little boy, it so reminds me of my niece who was a BIG thumb sucker. She was such a sweet, sweet baby! Funny how some of these images bring back old memories!
Other stampers joining in the fun with me are----------
Nicki Jackson's Splitcoast Gallery
Kim Howard at Basement Stamper
Sue Berker at Sharing What I Love.
Thanks for popping in and saying Hello! I am off to link up at Julia's and head for bed! It is night time on this side of the ocean girlies!
Card details: I will be back to finish this when I find my info sheet LOL!

ReplyDeleteThat's quite a stash of gorgeous ribbons! I have seen ideas for storage where plastic guttering is fixed as curved shelving to perfectly hold the reels side by side.

Had a blast with this challenge although your coloring looks amazing compared to mine...I still loved the baby! Great job and thanks for sending us the goodies this month.
ReplyDeleteLove the card and your ribbon pile! I store most of my ribbons on dolly pegs - there is a picture on this page here http://sunshinegirlnicola.blogspot.com/p/organisation-tips.html - hope this helps!

I haven't been happy with my ribbon storage since made my move from the basement! Right now I have some stored in glass containers wrapped around wooden doll pins and others I have stored in plastic bin. If you find a good storage idea make sure to tell us about it :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful care, such a adorable image and those papers are so pretty.
Hi SUE! LOVELY fun RIBBONS!!! What an adorable card. I HAVE the issue of a bazillion ribbons but found a great idea on BECCA's blog (AMAZING GRACE), for storing all of these. EASY to find and GREAT space SAVER! I have wrapped them all around small cardboard pieces cut (from recycled boxes). Each piece is about 2x3 and can hold an entire spool. Keeps ribbon neatly wrapped and organized. I have them stored by color in stackable storage bins. Works great for me and I have been able to keep TONS of them.
ReplyDeleteI have started to store mine on trouser hangers. It's not the best choice, but I like it better than the boxes I took them out of. Happy belated.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! Cute baby.
ReplyDeleteWorra lorra ribbon!!! Gorgeous colours!
ReplyDeleteMine are in colour groups, hanging off book rings. But buying spools of ribbon isn't such an easy thing here in the UK..I buy it by th emetre mostly. I love your collection...if you want them out of sight this drawer is probably the best answer..you could hang them from lengths of dowel - vertically if you can't string them across a wall - a couple of cup hooks in the ceiling and a length of doweling you can reach of course!!
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely challenge card, am off to visit your fellow stampers.
Just a quick visit this week due to illness but hope to do better next week ... thanks for sharing your ribbon collection - I showed my last week - and your cute baby card. I hope you have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #121
ReplyDeleteSuper cute. Fabulous coloring.
ReplyDeleteAt that age it's hard to tell if they are boys or girls so just add a bow and voila it's a girl image.
Oh what a SWEETIE!!~
ReplyDeleteO could only dream,of a ribbon collection like that, lucky you !! gorgeous card, have alovely weekend huggies and love June xx
ReplyDeleteI love ribbons! I have a drawer in addition to all on my wall that is filling up fast. I need to stop that! Sorry I am so late getting by this week but I wanted to pop by and visit your blog to say hello and to see what you are up to! Didn't have the time to post(except about newest Doswell addition) or craft the past two weeks due to being in Virginia visiting with the son's family to see the newest granddaughter born. Definitely a fun time none the less. Hope you have a great week. Vickie aka okienurse
