The challenge over at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is a recipe card or creation!
Our wonderful sponsors this week are KnK Designs (3 free digi's) and Pizazz Aplenty.($10 gift of embellishments)
Yep, looks like Mudpie has been up to no good today. Dipping into the chocolate frosting for sure!
Today is my Dad's 81st birthday and I always make his favorite cake...German Chocolate with the chocolate frosting and delish Coconut Pecan topping. Oh boy did I blow my diet making this stuff! I intended to take a pic of the frosting, but oopsie...I forgot! Must have been on a sugar high LOL! The recipe comes straight out of my old Betty Crocker cook book. I made this card a 4x6 so I can start a real recipe book!
Because it has been a busy week, I chose to keep this very simple (which basically means I ran home and whipped this up after eating cake!) Yes, I am a last minute lizzie!
I printed the recipe directly onto the paper and added the cut out meeces "strategically" around the words.
I used some pink polka dot Stampin' Up paper from one of their big designer paper pads. I used a pretty Martha Stewart border punch and added some pearls along the edge.
I love the fact that the tattletale is trying to be quiet...possible because he wants a taste too????
I hope you can find time to play along this week...what a great way to share your favorite recipe!
