What's On Your Workdesk #101

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?  Working with my new Craft's Meow stamps and if you peek closely you can see my new Peanuts stamps too! Can't wait to use them all.
My desk is still pretty clean, can you believe it???!!!

Okay all you crafty WOYWWer's...what should I do with this beautiful old mirror frame? I bought this at a garage sale last summer because all the carving is so beautiful. I was thinking of making the part where the mirror used to be into either a bullentin board or a chalk board, but I am open to suggestions. I don't want to paint it though...I love the warm antique feel of the carvings.

I would appreciate your suggestions!  If you get a few minutes, Hop over and say Hello to Julia and the rest of us Wednesday desk junkies!

  4. Do you have children? you could put some of their baby things such as little booties in the frame or if not why not make a lot of little technique cards (bit like ATCs but a size to suit you) and fill it with those and make it a showpiece - then if you need inspiration you can look at it and pick a technique to use. HTH. Love the Peanuts stamps I was a big Snoopy fan when I was younger - might have to invest in some too! Thanks for sharing. Sunshine Girl No. 24

  15. I'm so glad you told us what it was. . .before I read what it was I enlarged the picture and had no idea. I love the framework on it. What a great find. I've thought and thought about an idea, but can't come up with anything better than your bulletin board idea. I think that is a great use for it! Best, Curt

  17. or!! you could make it back into a mirror, it's fabulous. Love your big top picture with all your copic's on display, I want one of those! MY Promarkers are in little draws which are fast becoming too small, and my copic's, I've only got about ten of them! Love your Snoopy stamps, and I do have a little storage jar like yours,so that's one thing . Great snoop, could stay all day! but that's scarrrry! Happy WOYWW!! Lyn ((hugs)) #42

  18. Hmmm - do I see double of the hm stamp?
I would add a tin center to the mirror for a magnetic board. Probably paint the tin in a distress look first.

  20. Looking forward to seeing what you make with your new Peanuts stamps. I like the idea of using your frame as a bulletin board, I'm not into the whole chalk boards just because I don't like chalk dust. ;)
