WOYWW #93 and winner of the blog candy

Another visit over to Julia's Stamping Ground What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?  You can see things sort of thrown around this week and not really put away yet. In the bottom right of the picture, you can see a wee bit of some new twine I just bought for Charla for her birthday and of course had to get some for myself!

I do have to tell you about this cupcake page on my desk though!

I belong to a monthly Cookbook club. Our leader is Jill McDonald, owner of Urban Papers, the  local papercrafting store. Every month Jill whips up one of her favorite recipes, brings it for us to sample. We all sit around, eat our yummy and  visit and scrap together! Tonight she brought a delicious cupcake recipe named Hostess Cupcakes. (a chocolate cupcake with a marshmallow filling and fudgy frosting on the top) Now you girls across the ocean may not be familiar with this treat, but it has been around the USA for ages. This is a "knock off" homemade version of the store bought.  I would have brought my cupcake home and taken a picture for this post tonight, but really...it was gone in about one minute!

I can not even begin to tell you how delish this treat was! I asked my friend Charla to snap a picture before I ate this treat up in two seconds flat!

Make sure to take a close up peek at the flower on this layout....the center is a zipper!
We gathered  up the zipper so it ruffled up and stuck it on with a pretty brad..  We also used some Coordinations polka dot paper and did a little sanding to highlight the dots.  The stamped sentiment is from Maya Road.

Hope you all can join in this week...stop in and say Hello to the other Workdesk crafters! You don't even have to link up only on Wednesday...we visit all week long!

Oops...forgot to tell you who won my blog candy from last week's WOYWW.  drumrolllll........The winner is  Posh Creations! Thanks to all of you who left such fun input on products you had to have, but never used!

  4. Hostess cupcakes? Oh my, I'm doomed! I better try these quick because we're going on a 21 day fast April 1...

Is the gathered part under the zipper paper or is it the zipper? It's just gorgeous!! Lucky you to get to go have scrappy fun! I may have to start my own club as there's nothing like that here.

I had 2 delish cupcakes myself the other day from costa coffee, they were only tiny but they were filled with white choc & jam and chocolate sauce. I've never had any with a soft centre b4 and boy were they yummy.

  24. What a clever idea to make your flower with a zipper. And I LOVE Hostess cupcakes. Never knew the filling was made from Marshmallow creme! But now that I think about it, that's exactly what the texture is. Thanks for sharing your desk. #19

  31. I think we should ban all talk of food from the blogs. Chocolate and cup cakes do not help the diet. they look too delicious.
