I found this darling little preformed shadow box when I was in the big city. I sure wish I would have bought a few more, this was a lot of fun to make!
All I did was cover the chipboard with some pretty Bo Bunny papers and add some SU cardstock grass. Did a little sanding around the edges. Throw in a couple little Tim Holtz grungeboard do dahs painted/glittered up and this was a very quick project. I added a piece of gold cord at the top so this could be hung up.
I made this little box for my daughter Abby and her "fiancee" Rick! Yep, we have a wedding to plan in 2011! My middle child, Abby and her sweetie Rick became engaged on Christmas morning! Now...I had to hide one of her presents after she broke the news to me upon their arrival for Christmas morning breakfast. I had bought both girls the New Arrival Cricut cartridge(baby things) for Christmas as they both have lots of friends having babies. I did not think that would be a "good" present to give a newly engaged young lady...do you think the groom-to-be might just run real fast the other way? LOL I did not want to freak Rick out (although I am more that ready for a "local" grandbaby hehehe) I don't think he is there mentally...just getting married is a big step. I did sneak it to her later as a non-holiday present. Now wasn't that sensitive of me??? Hehehehehehe
I am entering this in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge #133-New Beginnings...oh the same theme as House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge. My guess is that most meece lovers are also PB lovers too!.... Hope you will join our House Mouse challenge this week too---tons of prizes in our first blog hop on 2011!

Very cute! I wonder if it would have worked though for you to have colored that center piece of the heart (the piece that matches what he is holding) to look like the hedghogs belly showing through. That would have made it look like he is actual holding the 'piece' from the middle. Rather than coloring it red. Great job!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute Sue! Love all the details and the pink grass is so perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Larissa
