I am sew so happy we're friends.
Now don't panic! Embossing you say out loud??? Can't find your embossing powders and heat gun??? Well there are lots of ways to EMBOSS. Yes, you can heat emboss with powders, or you can simply add an element that has been ran through an embossing folder...Like me! I do keep my heat gun handy and use it every once in a while, but I use my embossing folders all the time!!! On this card, I used a pretty EF (embossing folder) from SU! made by Sizzix. I think it is meant to be a Christmas folder, but it is too pretty to use only for the holidays!
The image I used is Sew What? and the sentiment is one I bought in support of my dear blogging friend Katie. You can read about Katie HERE. Katie has a tough battle ahead of her, and can use all of our help. This card is for her. We all love you Katiebug. When I first started blogging in 2008, Katie was the first blogger to help me learn a little about HTML and also how to change info on my blog. If she didn't know, she would ask her hubby Kevin, and we would both learn something new! If you have a few minutes, take the time to read about Katie, and support her if you can.
The little meece and the stuffed toy are 3D.
And the winner of my hidden blog candy is Eve at Lavender Memory Lane.
Thanks Eve for always leaving such nice comments and playing along with us for our New Beginnings Challenge.
I hope you can join in for Challenge #87! Thanks for popping in, I always look forward to your kind comments. Welcome to all my new followers as well. I am busy working on my 100,000 hits blog candy, so keep your eyes open...it is coming soon!

ReplyDeleteoh my g...I WON! yeah!!! ... i came here to check your card, and was planning to post a comment on how luvly you colored the main image, not only the mice but also AROUND them! I luv the way you colored AROUND those two little mice! And also, i have that EP folder, and you are absolutely right that it's soo pretty and i wanted to use it in NON christmas card also, and you embossed it on White Paper, and it looks Good on NON holiday card! Then, i kept reading, and i saw the blog candy pic., then, MY NAME!! wow!!! Last time i went to nearby scrapbooking store, i couldn't find pretty Valentines' day papers cuz the owner said that not only it's coming later but also she isn't getting much for Valentine's day cuz there is not much demand for papers for Valentines' day, for scrapbookers. Anyways, Bobuny 's papers look sooo yummy!! and so is embellishments! and of course, OUR luving MICE stickers!! I've never seen HM stickers IN PERSON! Now i'm soooo excited to receive them! This is so cute and charming. Love the image. It reminded me of my granddaughter Coleen. She brought a beat up little stuffed dog toy that she found in the snow and gave it to my mom to repair as she knows her (Granny) sews really well. Darn thing was a mess but Granny will lovingly fix it up and give it back to Coleen.
